Buon giovedi.... there's nothing quite like winning at the San
Siro if you're an Italian team, is there? Just ask Juventus, who weren't
even playing in front of their home fans in Turin and danced to a 2-1 victory last
night!
Lecce managed the shock of the round by stunning Inter Milan 1-0, the defeat bringing to an end the
Nerazzurri's six-game winning. Juventus kept their undefeated record intact by defeating highflying
Udinese by two goals to nil in very wet conditions in Turin on Saturday. Alessandro Matri was the
hero on the night as he claimed both strikes.
Rumors have been swirling recently involving German midfielder Michael Ballack possibly making
the move to Major League Soccer.
Ballack, best known for his heroics in the 2002 World Cup Final and time spent with Chelsea and
Bayern Munich, has been linked to the expansion Montreal Impact for the past few months.
Eighteen matches into the season and Juventus are undefeated and sitting in first place. Everything
seems rosy red, or pink (like their away shirt), in Turin. While Juventus find themselves in an
ideal situation heading into the second half of the season, their rise to the top has been much due
to their own good work as it has been to many of their rivals' failure to truly assert themselves
as.

An interesting statement recently revealed by Milos Krasic's agent, Dejan Joksimovic, stating
that the wantaway Juventus winger is being seriously monitored by Chelsea.
The agent also stated that his client most likely will leave his current club because he hasn't
been featured in the plan of the Turin giant's new tactician, Antonio Conte.
Mr pink star, who do you think you are? Italians are known for their style, with the catwalks of
Milan dripping with the latest fashions. It seems that Turin didn't quite get the memo. Last night
Juventus took on Udinese, with place at the top of the league for the winners at stake. However,

Gaston Ramirez is set to be the subject of bids from both Liverpool and Juventus when the January
transfer window opens.
The Uruguayan playmaker has emerged as one of the most in-demand players in Italy, thanks to his
impressive form since joining Bologna from Penarol in 2010.
It was thought Juventus would land the 21-year-old at the end of the season, but reports in Italy
have suggested the situation has changed.
It seems that with Arsenal's resurgence this season and Robin van Persie's arrival as one of the
most lethal and potent players in the game, the club will be linked with every wantaway striker in
January.
It is well-known that Van Persie's contract is up at the end of the season and the club doesn't
want the Dutch national to leave.
Having already acquired the service of Emmanuele Adebayor in the summer transfer window
apparently still doesn't pleased Tottenham Hotspurs hunger for another forward as reports from
Italy suggested that the London outfit are close in signing Carvalho Amauri from Juventus.
Revealed by renown agent, Ernesto Bronzetti, Amauri's chance in landing at Spurs is pretty big,
compared to other options.
Time to sing "Everything you own in the box to the left!" to Diego
Forlan because Uruguay have officially reaffirmed their commitment to
their new national hero (handball and all), Luis SuaaaRez!
Of course, it's hard to ignore his four goals against
Chi-le-le over the weekend but the Italians can sit down and relax
because he won't be featuring against them tonight in the Italy-Uruguay
international friendly.
Forget Bale to Barca, Spurs fans should be more concerned about keeping hold of
Redknapp
Ok, this judgement might only be based on a couple of shy interview performances. But I would
guess that, not since Ian Rush allegedly asked for a shipment of baked beans to be sent to Turin,
would there be a Welshman more ill-suited to life at a foreign football club than Gareth Bale.
Juventus threw away another two points with Genoa scoring a late equalizer in Turin to force a
2-2 draw on Saturday. The Juve supporters must be disappointed with the club's inability to display
a killer instinct in finishing off weaker opponents. The Bianconeri also wasted a number of
opportunities highlighting the lack of scoring touch despite the presence a plethora of attacking
options such as Fabio Quagliarella (did not play versus Genoa), Alessandro Matri (scorer of both of
Juve's goals versus Genoa), Alessandro Del Piero (a late substitute) and Mirko Vučinić (played
but again failed to score).
Fans and media alike have been reveling in the praise of the new-look Juventus, and one must
tribute the hard work done by Antonio Conte.
For a couple of years now, there seemed to be a perpetual state of skepticism surrounding the
Juve Camp. Transfer market after transfer market, the Bianconeri were still seen lugging the burden
of underachievement.
Juventus club president Andrea Agnelli has announced that striker Alessandro Del Piero is set to
leave the club at the end of the season bringing the curtain down on a 19-year spell in Turin. The
news was broken on Tuesday and was tentatively accepted by Juve fans the world over as club legend
and Juventus' [.
For Juventus supporters, it is hard not to be inspired by Antonio Conte. The passion and
intensity shown by the Old Lady's new commander is infectious, for the players on the pitch as well
as the fans in the seats. He has done well in his first five games, but I fear there just might be
icebergs ahead and the captain needs to be ready to chart a new course if needs be.
Reports in the England and Italy are linking Manchester United with a move for Juventus winger
Milos Krasic after the player's agent revealed that the Red Devils have been interested for two
years.
Serbia international Krasic rose to prominence at Russian club CSKA Moscow before sealing a
€15 million move to Turin last summer.
Serie A champions Milan continued their dismal form in league play after falling 2-0 to rivals
Juventus. Milan's coach Massimiliano Allegri did not offer excuses when he referred to the defeat
in Turin as the worst performance of the season by his players. As for Juve, this was by far the
club's most significant win of the season and Antonio Conte's biggest triumph as a coach.
Yes, we were lamenting the lack of goals for a good part of the Juventus-Milan
fixture yesterday until signore Claudio Marchisio (and
those pair of eyes) stepped in to score twice for Juventus! With a name like
that, the whole of Turin will not be sweating over his complimentary one week
risotto.
After exciting midweek fixtures in the two top European club competitions; the Champions
League and the Europa League, attention shifts to the respective leagues across the entire
continent.
The big match of the weekend takes place on Sunday when Italian champions AC Milan travel to
Turin to face league leaders Juventus in what could determine the pace of the scudetto race this
season.

Roma have dismissed whispers that they will attempt to hijack Milan's move for Alberto
Aquilani.
"These voices are unfounded," Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini told Radio Mana Mana. "I don't
want to give false hope to people."
Aquilani was brought up in the Roma youth ranks, but was sold to Liverpool in the summer of 2009
for £20m.
Aquilani Seals Milan Loan Switch
Alberto Aquilani has sealed a loan switch to AC Milan, according to Gazetta Dello Sport . The
Italian will move for the 2011/12 season in its entirety, and will likely make the move permanent
at the end of the season. The Reds had hoped that Juventus would take up a similar option to
purchase Aquilani following his loan spell in Turin last term, but a move didn't transpire and he
has since been stuck in limbo at Liverpool.
Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani insists that his future is finally about to get sorted
out, as he is closing in on a move to Italian champions AC Milan.
Aquilani, who enjoyed an impressive spell on loan to Juventus last season, did not return to
Turin when negotiations over a permanent transfer broke down.

Juventus has been very busy this summer, something we are all used to by now, but it seems their
business is not yet concluded. Earlier this week club director Giuseppe Marotta revealed the Turin
giants are looking to sign at least two more players before the transfer window closes next week,
an enticing revelation for supporters.

So far this summer, Juventus has spent money all over the pitch, already adding ten players to
their books as of this writing. But despite spending somewhere in the range of 70 million euros on
new transfer fees and making permanent loan deals from last season, the biggest buzz the Turin
giants created this offseason comes from a free signing.
I like HSV. [Grumbles.] I don't like Juventus. [Grumbles again.]
That said, to put them on the same level, now or at any point in the near future is a bit much.
Quite a bit much. The Hamburglers don't quite have Juventus' name or stature. Or money. Or players.
Or potential.
It seems that Spurs and Juventus have crossed paths over several players this summer including
Giuseppi Rossi and Mirko Vucinic and there is an interesting story emerging over Hamburg's Dutch
winger Eljero Elia.
Elia plays as a left winger or as part of the front three and fans may remember some cameo
performances that he put in the wing for Holland at the 2010 World Cup.
As we predicted last week, the fact that Giuseppe Rossi will remain at Villarreal has seen
Juventus switch their attention to Mirko Vucinic who has now joined the Turin giants from fellow
Serie A side Roma.
While the list of prospective targets starts to dwindle, could Spurs look to Italy again and
make a move for Fiorentina striker Alberto Gilardino?

Aquilani Rejects Fiorentina Loan
Alberto Aquilani's proposed loan move to Fiorentina has apparently fallen through after the
player made it clear that his preference was a permanent transfer. La Viola will now have to stump
up around £10m should they wish to follow up their interest in the Italy international.
The un-clarity regarding Carlos Tevez's future at Manchester City has made Roberto Mancini's
side raise their hunt in getting a quality replacement and the latest reports stated that they are
very close in acquiring Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid.
After constant confirmation from Mancini about the club's interest on Aguero, recent rumors from
Soccernet claimed that the agreement is very near as the Atletico star reportedly set to arrive at
Manchester on Wednesday and seal the deal.
New Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal says he "had no doubts" about moving to Turin and promised
Bianconeri fans that he will be a "warrior" for the club after completing his €10.5 million move
from Bayer Leverkusen.
The door is certainly revolving at Juventus. Yesterday began with the club announcing the
arrival of Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal in Turin for a medical. Vidal is set to join the
Bianconeri from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of 10.5 million euros.
And as Vidal enters, Felipe Melo exits.
Aquilani Agent Cools Exit Talk
The agent of Liverpool midfielder Alberto has cooled talk of his client making an Anfield exit
this summer, despite fervent speculation surrounding his future. Aquilani, who enjoyed a successful
spell on loan at Juventus last term, had hoped to secure a permanent move to Turin but the two
clubs were unable to negotiate a deal and the player instead returned back to his parent club.
