If Chris Rolfe is trying to make his way back into the U.S. men's national team picture, he did
a good job of helping his cause this weekend.
Rolfe, who has not represented the United States since 2008, scored two goals in a 90-minute
performance against Odense BK.
With the Seattle Sounders being connected to several global talents who are signing deals with
other teams around the world, that list of 8 seems likely to be shrinking. Prince Tagoe, and
probably others, is still being sought by teams not named the Sounders, and possibly still Adrian
Hanauer.
German Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim have rejected a 500,000 euro bid from an unnamed
Turkish side for Ghana striker Prince Tagoe.

The U.S. men's national team won't be the only team to suffer from Steve Cherundolo's ankle
injury.
Having picked up the knock in the Gold Cup final against Mexico last Saturday, Cherundolo has
been ruled out for four weeks, meaning he will miss all of Hannover 96's preseason
preparations.
Another week, another player rumored to be transferring to the Seattle Sounders. This time, it's
Ghana's Prince Tagoe, who was actually quoted in a Ghanian newspaper as saying he's been offered
$200,000 a week (that's the equivalent of $10 million a year) to don the Rave Green (H/T to
MLS-Rumors for finding this).
In a match that was never close, the U.S. under-20 men's national soccer team dominated Suriname
on the way to a 4-0 win in their opening game of the CONCACAF U-20 Championship in Guatemala.
The Americans, whose starting eleven featured Zac MacMath and Amobi Okugo of the Philadelphia
Union, came out playing an attractive, attacking style of soccer in their 4-3-3 formation and kept
their foot on the pedal throughout the entire first half.
