Major League Soccer will hold its Re-Entry draft for the second year in a row. The first round
will take place on December 5 with the second round taking place on December 12. Players available
in this year's Re-Entry Draft include 69 players who had their options declined in addition to a
handful of players that are out of contract.
Monday, December 5th, is the first stage of the MLS Re-Entry Draft. The entire process gets
fairly convoluted, as MLS is wont to do. As such, I figured I'll just copy/pasta their rules here
for you:
Any player selected in Stage 1 will remain on the drafting club's 2012 budget at the option
price or Bona Fide Offer price until April 1, 2012.
The Setup after the Red Card to Borchers
Salt Lake welcomed Jamison Olave back into their defense after returning from an injury in the
all-star match. Chivas USA was coming off a tough midweek loss in Portland and needed to take the
home three points to push towards a playoff spot.

New England.

We've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly in the preseason matches from the Whitecaps. The good
came right away, with the 2-1 victory over Real Salt Lake. The bad came against the Seattle
Sounders, the 105 minute training match which finished 1-0 for the Sounders. And the ugly came
today against Chivas USA, especially in the first half when the team was too defensive.
