Norwich City 2-0 Bolton Wanderers Premier League 4th February 2012
An injury-ravaged Norwich fought their away to their fifth home league win of the season on
Saturday, a victory which condemned the visiting Trotters to another spell in the relegation
zone.
Football is a funny game. When you predict like a master pundit (read-Carlton Palmer) every
thing goes topsy turvy and it actually ends up even more interesting. The past week was no
exception and it had everything, I mean everything. For a guy like me the premier league is the
only source of joy in what can be called an uneventful life (Yes, what can you do when you are an
engineer with a long and winding road ahead).

Bolton Wanderers 0-0 Arsenal Premier League 1st February 2012
Arsenal match reports are starting to write themselves loads of possession, nice passing, loads
of chances, no goals. More often than not you can even tag "concede late goal from set-piece" onto
the end of that, although on this occasion, the Gunners did manage to go off-script and keep their
sheet clean for the night.

Bolton Wanderers 3-1 Liverpool Premier League 21 January 2012
Starting without a genuine defensive midfielder was always going to leave the visiting Reds
somewhat vulnerable at the Reebok. Still, with Steven Gerrard orchestrating things from midfield and
Bolton ensconced in a relegation battle, Kenny Dalglish and co.
Liverpool face Bolton on Saturday in what is surely a must-win game, and with 10 straight victories
against the Trotters, Anfield legend Jan Molby believes that Kenny Dalglish's team will capitalise
on the 'reckless' style of Owen Coyle's team, and emerge victorious. In his column for the Liverpool
Echo, Molby conceded that Liverpool's performance against Stoke was 'very disappointing', but he
Liverpool face a tough game against Bolton on Saturday, and one of the players likely to start the
game for the Trotters is former striker David N'gog. Pepe Reina believes the Bolton game is a
'must-win' for Kenny Dalglish's team, and he's identified N'gog as a potential threat.In an
interview with the official Liverpool site, Reina was full of praise for his old team-mate:"He is a
great player.
The Bolton Wanderers are desperate to avoid relegation this season, and they are hitting the
Major League Soccer talent pool hard to try and avoid the drop.
With Tim Ream already lined up for a move to Bolton (upon receipt of a UK work permit), the
Trotters are now preparing a transfer move for Philadelphia Union star Sebastien LeToux.

Manchester United 3-0 Bolton Wanderers Premier League 14th January 2012
Starting for the first time since his surprise emergence from retirement, Paul Scholes made it
18 Premier League seasons (out of 18) in which he's scored after netting the opener against
Bolton, with the goal coming just before the break.
Following their terrific performance to knock City out of the FA Cup it's back to Premier League
business this weekend for United who are a top priced 1.16 to beat Bolton at Old Trafford and keep
the pressure on Mancini's men. The performance put in by Wayne Rooney and Co to beat City 3-2 at
the Eithad would have delighted Sir Alex, as they looked sharp and threatening and a different side
to the one that got hammered 3-0 at St James'.
My word it's Tweet my Goal! The best gags from Newcastle 3-0 Man United and Everton 1-2
Bolton
Newcastle won the battle of the Uniteds by thrashing Fergie's men 3-0 and a goal for Everton
keeper Tim Howard couldn't prevent the Toffees going down to the Trotters. Here's how it unfolded

It's been a blustery day across the UK and nobody has taken advantage of that better than Everton
keeper Tim Howard. The USA international opened the scoring against Bolton in this evening's
encounter with this wind-assisted effort. The Trotters' reserve keeper Adam Bogdan was the man
beaten by his fellow member of the goalkeeping union.
Gary Cahill will join Chelsea, says Owen Coyle
Bolton manager Owen Coyle denied there had been a hitch in Gary Cahill's proposed move to
Chelsea after the defender played possibly his last game for the Trotters in a 1-1 draw with
Wolves.

With only days remaining until the January transfer window opens, club owners and managers are
readying their chequebook and pens (real ones, mind, not the Blankety Blank variety), as they
prepare to make those vital signings to bolster a title tilt or save themselves from a relegation
dogfight.
Good afternoon Geordies and welcome to our Boxing Day match banter for Newcastle United's away trip
to play the Trotters of Bolton. Firstly, hope you all had a very happy Christmas and that you all
got what you wanted from Santa! Now getting on with the game, you can always check out our regular
match [.
It was billed as a match in which the losing manager would get fired, and if that is the case
then it will be a much happier Christmas in the Coyle household this season than the Kean one as
Bolton beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 in a relegation six pointer.
The result means Blackburn replace Bolton at the foot of the Premier League, and Rovers will be
bottom at Christmas with only one team avoiding relegation from that position.

Blackburn Rovers 1-2 Bolton Wanderers Premier League 19th December 2011
One wonders just how loud the roars of disapproval and nasty abuse will have to get at Ewood
Park before the Venky's finally decide to re-think their consistent support of manager Steve
Kean.
Things just keep getting better for Clint Dempsey, and keep getting worse for Bolton.
The Cottagers posted a 2-0 victory on the Trotters to keep Bolton buried at the bottom of the
English Premier League standings. Clint Dempsey opened the scoring with his team-leading fifth goal
of the season to push Fulham to 11th in the Premier League standings.

Fulham 2-0 Bolton Wanderers Premier League 17th December 2011
Fulham put the disappointment of that last-gasp exit from the Europa League in midweek to
register a deserved win against a directionless Bolton side at Craven Cottage.
Aloha and good morning. Just a quick one from me. What to say about Bolton? Not a great deal if
I can help it. In his comparatively short turn at t'Reebok, Owen Coyle's managerial stock has
fallen somewhat rapidly. From the Glaswegian Wenger to Sue Barker in the time it takes to polish
and glue in those unfeasibly white teeth.
In-demand Bolton defender Gary Cahill has refused to get drawn into the speculation about his
future but has indicated that Chelsea are the front-runners to sign him due to how to the
connection he has with captain John Terry.
Cahill has partnered Terry on multiple occasions in the heart of England's defense and the
result has usually been a clean sheet.

Bill Shankley, the famous Liverpool boss of the late 50s and early 70s once said not to look at

Swansea City 3-1 Bolton Wanderers Premier League 29th October 2011
Time must be running out for Bolton boss Owen Coyle after his side slipped to their eighth
league defeat in the last nine games. Swansea, on the other hand, are revelling in their maiden
Premier League season, and remain unbeaten at home.
Arsenal were saved by a quickfire double salvo from Andrey Arshavin and Park Chu-Young as they
secured progression to the Carling Cup quarter-finals with a 2-1 win over Bolton.
The pair scored within three minutes of one another after the break to continue the Gunners'
unbeaten League Cup run at the Emirates Stadium after receiving a scare at the start of the second
half.
Sitting uncomfortably in 18th position in the Premiership table after winning just two of their
last nine league games, Bolton have been regarded by some as a fairly simple challenge for Arsenal
in tonight's Carling Cup fourth round. However, the rumoured line-up for the Trotters looks
anything but easy to beat.

Bolton Wanderers 0-2 Sunderland Premier League 22 October
2011
Goals from Stephane Sessegnon and Nicklas Bendtner gave Sunderland their first way win of the
season and consigned Owen Coyle's sorry Bolton side to yet another defeat.

The weekend witnessed plenty of goals, drama and a fair amount of mediocre football at times,
but it also gave us two prime examples of how to miss with a header from point-blank range.
Step forward Kilmarnock's Paul Heffernan and Bolton's Dedryck Boyata.
Bolton defender Gary Cahill has spoken of his rollercoaster start to the season, explaining his
past few months of dramatic ups and downs. After being highly sought after by Arsenal boss Arsene
Wenger over the summer, Cahill has since seen his Bolton side languish at the bottom of the table,
while also experiencing some personal highs.

Wigan Athletic 1-3 Bolton Wanderers Premier League 15 October 2011
Wigan gave yet another fine example of how not to defend in their 3-1 home defeat at the hands
of Bolton.
Defensive errors were central to the home side's defeat yet again, with Bolton, a side hardly on
top form this season, all too happy to capitalise.
Wigan's Mohamed Diame scored a brilliant equaliser against Bolton today, however it was the
Trotters who had the last laugh with a 3-1 win.
Although the winter transfer market is still far away, Tottenham Hotspurs have already set one
of their main transfer target in January, which is Bolton Wanderers' star defender, Gary Cahill,
who was actually targeted since this summer.
Confirmation about Spurs' undying interest on Cahill, arrives from the Lilywhites' manager,
Harry Redknapp, who revealed to the press his hope to finally acquire the center back's signature
after failing to do so in the summer market.

In this week's review section, we look back at stories from the North London and Merseyside
derbies, as well as news from bottom of the table side Bolton.
Michael Regan/Getty Images (Bleacher Report) Gary Cahill opened the season on a high by scoring in
Bolton Wanderers 4-0 defeat of Queens Park Rangers on opening day. His brilliant strike was one of
the best of the opening weekend as far as taking advantage of a scoring opportunity.
However, since that match the Trotters have gone down hill suffering three straight losses and
pushing them down the table.
Clive Brunskill/Getty Images(Bleacher Report) Bolton Wanderers have been chasing the signature of
Liverpool's 22-year old French attacker David N'Gog for the last few months, and it looks like he
is finally set to make the move in the next 24 hours.
As the deal has been left late, the Trotters are racing to get it done in time just as Liverpool
is.
Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has heaped praised on his team everyone from players to the
technical staff and has sent a message to the Blues' title rivals that last season's runners-up
have hit top gear.
The West Londoners were dominant in last weekend's 4-1 thrashing of Swansea City but a late
lapse in concentration during the midweek's Champions League clash at Valencia led to a
disappointing 1-1 draw.

Not so long ago Daniel Sturridge was helping Bolton Wanderers climb the league, his
return to north left The Trotters firmly at the bottom.
Arsene Wenger has revealed that when he first started Robin van Persie assume the responsibility
of becoming the club's skipper, he did not feel that the Dutchman was a typical leader.
However, the Arsenal manager now believes that with the passage of time, van Persie has fit into
the role very well and despite not being very vocal, he has complete control over the Gunners
dressing room.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle has dismissed suggestions that there will be any tension for him at
the Emirates Stadium this weekend when Bolton visit fellow strugglers Arsenal.
Both clubs have performed below their capabilities thus far in the season and while Arsenal
could have done much better with the services of a proven English center-back such as the Trotters'
Gary Cahill, a war of words between the two managers brought an end to the negotiations last
month.
Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs hopes that he does not have to wait for his next goal for too
long after being teased by teammates up until the moment he struck for the first time in a Gunners
shirt on Tuesday night.
With his side trailing 1-0 to League 2 outfit Shrewsbury Town, Gibbs scored the equalizer and
inspired Arsene Wenger's youthful squad to a 3-1 win.
