I'm reading conflicting information on the scorer of Trinidad's equalizer against Honduras.
Honduran radio said Guerra, another report said Hyland, CONCACAF's report is saying Kenwyne
Jones...and no confirmation from FIFA as of 8:45pm Pacific time. I'll try to confirm the goalscorer
later.

FIFA's appeals board has reduced Dwight Yorke's suspension to two matches instead of the original
four. The Trinidadian striker/midfielder was shown a red card at the end of TT's 2-2 draw with El
Salvador for verbally abusing the match referee. So in the end, Yorke will miss the upcoming
qualifiers against Honduras and the USA but will return for the Hexagonal match against Costa Rica
on 6 June.

Devastating news for Trinidad Tobago as Dwight Yorke has been given a four-match ban by FIFA for
that red card he received after the conclusion of the El Salvador-Trinidad Tobago qualifier last
month. He will be out for the rest of the first half of the Hexagonal, including TT's two home
qualifiers against Honduras and Costa Rica.

The UNCAF Cup and the friendlies involving the USA and Mexico have taken up most of the attention
this week, but T&T have been busy as well. They are currently in Argentina for a pre-Hexagonal
training camp which includes some matches against first-division sides in preseason. So far,
they've drawn 1-1 against Argentinos Juniors and defeated Quilmes and Tigre by 3-0 and 3-2,
respectively.

A couple of days after compiling the list of pre-Hexagonal friendlies and noting that Trinidad &
Tobago hadn't arranged any matches against national teams, comes word that T&T will play Chile in
Santiago on 24 January. During their Argentina tour, T&T will also play warm-up matches against
three Primera clubs (Independiente, Vélez, and Estudiantes-LP) and one Nacional B club

Instead of doing the Group D preview today, I'm going to wait until tomorrow as I'll have more time
then to devote to an accurate, informative capsule for each of the four countries.
I have some work to do this afternoon, but I'll leave you with something for your viewing pleasure
in honor of, I guess you could say, England's upcoming friendly against Trinidad & Tobago:

After yesterday's thumping of the US, which was very embarrassing for me as an American, Fabio
Capello announced his squad for England's friendly against Trinidad & Tobago this Sunday.
The game had been in doubt recently due to a squabble concerning rental terms for T&T's national
ground, Hasley Crawford Stadium, but everything has been resolved and the show will go on.

In one of the more bizarre U-turns in recent memory. CONCACAF president Jack Warner is now
backing England's bid to host the 2018 World Cup. This comes just months after Warner was adamantly
opposed to FIFA doing away with the rotation system for hosting the tournament, a move that has
paved the way for a European nation like England to be the host in 2018.
