I wondered being honest, how long it would take until we heard from either Nico Anelka or Alex
after their departures from Chelsea back in last month's transfer window and it hasn't taken
long.

You can argue that everything Barca does these days is being scrutinized or subject to unfair
criticism. But it's hard to deny the club's latest tribute to a journalist who passed away and
spent his life reporting on the club. That's affectionate dedication for you!
Last week prior to the club's normal press conference, first-team players Xavi, Puyol, Valdés
and Iniesta along with Pep Guardiola observed a silent tribute to Dani Montesinos, who formerly
worked for Spanish TV and Barca TV.
Nico Anelka, speaking ahead of his "new adventure" in China has taken the time out to release a
statement thanking the Chelsea fans for their support in "four wonderful years" at the club. The
statement in full says:
"I want to thank you all for the support you have always provided.

Three Sporting KC players have been called up by Jurgen Klinsmann for the upcoming US Men's
national team camp in Phoenix and Los Angeles. Teal Bunbury returns to the US national team, having
been a part of the quite a few of Klinsmann last few squads, although he's yet to make an
appearance for the national team under the new manager.
Yesterday's 4-0 thrashing of Santos was a result not many people were expecting, especially
after their amazing semi final victory over Kashiwa Reysol. Many including myself were expecting
Santos to put up a stiff fight if not go all the way.
However, once again Lionel Messi was the hero for the Catalans as he scored a brace to see the
European champions add yet another trophy to their cabinet.
R9: Pra Sempre Fenomeno
As the career of one legend sets, the career of another is about to explode. There will never be
another quite like O Fenomeno, but even after is playing days are over (no, scoring in a Match
Against Poverty does not count as your career living on) the man continues to be a class act.
