Addressing new transfer rumors, Carlos Ruiz once again denied that he will return to Mexico,
this time on Tiro Libre.
The former Puebla striker talked about reports coming out of Mexico on MLS' Spanish language
podcast, saying that he was well aware of the rumors.

In what is becoming a weekly event, Philadelphia Union striker Carlos Ruiz has been linked to a
Mexican club. Club Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz, linked to Ruiz twice in the past couple of weeks,
have reportedly paid the Guatemalan forward's buyout clause (also referred to as a minimum release
fee) in his Union contract.

Philadelphia Union striker Carlos Ruiz has once again been linked to a Mexican club ahead of the
July 15 opening of the international transfer window.
The 31-year-old Guatemalan is reportedly on Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz's short list, as the
second division Mexican club looks to restock ahead of their 2011-2012 season, per Diario
Xalapa.
Manuel Neuer last week did a rather big thing, urging gay footballers to come out. This made
headlines all over the world, where in most cases, the intended point was accurately put
across.
Only in South America, the translations, as so often happens in this global sport, got somewhat
lost in translation: a couple of headlines broke the news that Neuer himself had confessed to being
gay.
According to reports in the Belgian press Thomas Vermaelen is to undergo surgery on Tuesday for
his achilles problem.
Apparently a small tendon close to the achilles is causing the problem but he hopes this will
cure it and he'll be back by March. Optimistic but let's hope he's right.
