The Philadelphia Union may have claimed to Philly Soccer Page that they haven't talked to
Deportivo Cali, but Faryd Mondragon is headed to Colombia. Liga Posotbon, the Colombian top league,
is reporting on its official websitethat Mondragon is returning to Deportivo.
The 40-year-old began his 21-year career with Deportivo in 1990-91, after being shuttled back
and forth from practices during his youth at the club.
Eden Hazard, one of the most desirable transfer targets in world football at the moment, says he
is not moving this January. Definitively. Moving this coming summer, however? That's on fo sho. To
England? Why yes, actually.
Excuse me while I shit my pants with potential excitement.
Seeking a new challenge in the summer
Hazard spoke to Canal+ today and shed some light on his current situation.
Dipping into the SPL for transfer targets is always a gamble and while a player's record may
look good north of the border, moving into the premiership will always represent a tougher
challenge. If you need any evidence of that, you could always contrast Gordon Durie's scoring ratio
after he'd moved from White Hart Lane to Ibrox.
I read a comment made by Carlo Ancelotti yesterday about possible transfer targets and when
Fernando Torres' name came up I immediately thought bollocks!. I thought straight away that the
press would make his comments out to be something that they aren't and when I woke up this morning
I was proved right.
While I still think overall Liverpool have played some good pass and move football this season.
Our main issue is we just don't have a clinical finisher, that player who will score 25+ goals in
a season.
£35 million really should have bought us the perfect player for this position. But Carroll is
really under porforming and just looks out of place at the moment.
Here is one for you: Andrey Arshavin has become the athlete of the year for the fourth year in a
row according to a body known as the all-Russian public opinion research center. No, I am not
making this up (for once). It says so, here, in black and white on AA23′s very own website.
Now, I really want to like our little Russian.
The Sunday Sun is reporting that Newcastle hope to make a transfer breakthrough within ten days.
Harry Maguire Sheffield United 18 year-old center-back We had been told there would be a transfer
summit meeting last week and that indeed took place at a plush Quayside hotel to discuss transfer
targets and strategy and both [.

Throughout the day, the QPR Report Messageboard has news updates,
comments and perspectives - even links to other board comments of interest re QPR matters (on and
off the field) along with football (and ONLY football) topics in general.
Luka Modric, perhaps the stand out performer of this English Premier League season so far, has
said he might leave Tottenham during the January transfer window, although he is more likely to
reconsider his position at the end of the campaign. The speculation began when Luka Modric's agent
suggested that his client might leave Tottenham in January because "in football anything is
possible".
So here we are, nearly halfway through the 2011-12 season. Arsenal have play 17 league matches
with Wolves coming up next on Tuesday. It was originally scheduled for Monday on Boxing Day, but
due to the London Tub Strike, it has been rescheduled. The halfway mark of the season has QPR
coming to the Emirates and but this time we hope to have completed the mid-season review.
In a rare moment of transfer speculation honesty. Kenny Dalglish has gone on the record and
confirmed one of Liverpool FC's transfer targets.Over the last few days, Liverpool have been
strongly linked with a January move for Cliftonville striker Rory Donnelly, and in his press
conference earlier, Dalglish confirmed that the club is interested:"I spoke to the chairman.
The news just broke.
Liverpool here I come!
Landon Donovan going on loan to Everton this winter. Precisely what the Toffees need and frankly
probably all they could afford. Everton are not awash in cash. There certainly not awash in
goals.
The LA Galaxy announced on Thursday that Donovan will venture over to Everton on a two-month
loan kicking off on on Jan.
How can anyone dare to question the abilities of my favourite Satay House fan Benoît Pierre
David Assou-Ekotto? Not to be confused with the wife and child killing wrestler Chris Benoit,
Assou-Ekotto has been one of our best players this season as far as I'm concerned. That is in
addition to having the world's biggest head of hair and saying 'lol satay house' on the majority of
his tweets.
There are many cool things in the world, but I think it's safe to say that none are as cool as
this graph of the Philadelphia Union's pass attempts and accuracy that the Tumblr blog
Propagandarama put together from the stats PSP's Ed Farnsworth compiled. For those who like to
analyze trends in graphs, here is some more info.
Speculation may continue about possible transfer targets for Spurs this January but manager
Harry Redknapp has indicated today that it could be another quiet winter at the Lane.
Speaking on Talksport, Harry did highlight the defensive injury problems that Spurs have
suffered since the start of the season.
My interest in the topic of this blog began as I was scrolling through the usual baseless rumors
about various transfer targets. I found a rumor about a young player in the Barca youth system
named Gerard Deulofeu. Naturally, since I'm a donkey at all of this, I'd never heard of him,
despite the fact that he's the "next Messi" and all that.
Liverpool's Steven Gerrard and Chelsea's Frank Lampard have emerged as the latest transfer targets
for big-spending Anzhi Makhachkala.
The Russian club stunned the football world last month by signing Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o
from Inter Milan and making him the world's highest-paid player.
Suleyman Kerimov, Anzhi's billionaire owner, is keen to add more big names to a squad that also
features Roberto Carlos, Diego Tardelli and Yuri Zhirkov.

Transfer deadline day is just around the corner.
What Felix needs to know: all potential transfer targets need to be on the official DFL transfer
list by 12pm tomorrow. All paperwork for the transfer needs to be send to the DFL headquarters by
6pm tomorrow.
Here is what Felix already got done since Saturday or is currently busy working on:
White Hart Lane. Sunday 28th August. 1.30pm Kick off. ESPN.
Spurs kicked off last season with a 0-0 draw against City at The Lane. City were lucky that day
as Joe Hart was their star, keeping Spurs at bay in a match that the home side should have won
easily.
I'm back again — this time with tips for the Fantasy Premier League instead of ESPN's Premier
Fantasy — with some potential transfer targets that should be watched for Gameweek 3 and beyond.

Andre Villas-Boas' Chelsea revolution doesn't stop with a long list of transfer targets and a
possible move away from 4-3-3. Ashley Cole, reportedly a 20-a-day smoker, has been told that his
habit will no longer be indulged as it was by AVB's predecessor, the fag-loving Carlo
Ancelotti.

Morning all.
It was a relatively quiet day yesterday. Nobody left. Nobody came in ... excuse me a moment ...
hahahahahahahahahaha. Hahahaha. Haha. Hah. Ok. I'm better.
Hahahahahaha. Eeep.
However, I did get a bit of an exclusive. Arsene has been in his office, working obsessively on
transfer targets and my super serial spy managed to take a pic over his shoulder as he was
working.

Video: Liverpool Transfer Targets – Paddy McCourt
Liverpool have been linked with a shock move for Celtic bench warmer Paddy McCourt, but you
might be left wondering why he's not a first team fixture when you see what he can do. Before you
view this video it is worth noting that this is a prime example of why you shouldn't form an
opinion of a player based on his YouTube showreel.
After two years of posturing, negotiating and verbal battles in the press, FC Barcelona and
Arsenal have FINALLY agreed to a deal to send Cesc Fabregas to the Spanish champions, Barcelona
announced on Sunday.
A press conference is slated for Monday to introduce Fabregas as Barcelona's latest, and
biggest, signing of the summer.
Bolton Keen on David Ngog
Bolton are believed to be keen on Liverpool's David Ngog after moves for Daniel Sturridge and
Cameron Jerome were cast into doubt. This news follows reports published on Kopsource late last
month that Owen Coyle was preparing a £4m bid for the player .

The philosophy of a football club will determine the immediate goals and long-term vision of the
club. Within England, this has often been dictated at most sides by the manager. However in recent
times as a more continental approach has been inserted by some; others have remained
old-fashioned.
It is hard to imagine that in seven days time the first game of the new season will have taken
place. There is a remarkably strange feeling about at the moment.
Possibly that feeling is down to Arsenal looking no better than at the tail end of last season
and there being only minute changes in the playing staff.
Arsenal appear to have blown their chances of signing Juan Mata for a reasonable price after
Valencia coach Unai Emery said they would not sell their Spain starlet.
Last week the Gunners were in talks to sign the highly-rated young playmaker, who had a £22
million release clause in his contract that has since expired, meaning any club wanting him may now
have to pay significantly more.

At which point do you decide that you want to see the back of this man?
Like many of you, I've become rather disinterested to listen to any more rumours until it is
confirmed on the official Arsenaldotcom. Doesn't make for great publishing I know, as there will
bound to be plenty of hits on the blog when talking about transfer targets.
Admit it: Mick McCarthy is awesome.
Lovely little interview with Mick via The Guardian below in which he waxes on the ills of
Twitter. A cautionary tale of Twitter and social media in the modern and webcams, Elano battlefield
that is football, really, but mostly it's just nice to hear someone call out 'cocks' and 'twits'
and 'numpties' for what they really are.
