The Spanish giant, Real Madrid, has prized Xabi Alonso away from Liverpool for a deal worth
£30million. Liverpool has confirmed the deal in their official website.
After weeks of negotiations, Liverpool has finally agreed the transfer of Xabi Alonso to Real
Madrid. The 27-year old has signed the personal contract worth £3million in a four-year deal.

Liverpool have agreed a fee of around £3.5million for Alvaro Arbeloa to move to Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old right-back passed a medical and signed a five-year deal.
One more Spaniard will be joining him soon at Santiago Bernabeu. We wish Arbeloa all the best in
his football career with Real Madrid.

Real Zaragoza have completed the signing of winger Jermaine Pennant after his release by
Liverpool at the end of his contract.
The former Arsenal youngster passed a medical with the Spanish outfit on Thursday and will join
their bid for survival next season after being promoted back to the Primera Liga Division.

Liverpool have agreed a deal with Greek side Panathinaikos for the sale of winger Sebastian
Leto.
The Argentine spent last season with rivals Olympiacos after work permit problems prevented him
playing for the Reds.
Leto signed for Liverpool in August 2007 after Rafa Benitez beat the likes of Real Betis and
River Plate to his signature.

Sebastian Leto is set for Anfield departure after reports in the Greek media has mentioned
Liverpool have accepted a bid from Panathinaikos.
According to the reports, the Greek club has bid in the region of £3million for the Argentinian
midfielder.
Leto has spent last season on loan at Olympiakos, after problems securing a work permit to play
in Britain and made 22 appearances for them.
