What in the world is Pep wearing? This is certainly not his best moment in press conference attire,
or any occasion attire, for that matter.
We're mortified a bit. Why would you even glance twice at such an abysmal sweater - except to gawk
at it - let alone buy it and actually wear it? At a press conference in front of forty hundred
cameras?

Bayern Munich fans are certainly not in a particularly good mood at the moment. The situation in
the Bundesliga is far from hopeless but still disappointing, while Bayern will need a miracle of
sorts to progress in the Champions League. Thus, some fans may be in disbelieve, some may question
the coach or the players, others blame the transfer policy and a few probably just desperately hope
for Ribery to return and make it all right again.

This week's QOTW is Fabio Capello talking about his first training session with the England Squad,
the Italian manager has guided England to qualification, and he will most probably guide them
through South Africa 2010.
"I remember the first training session and I was surprised because the players were
really good,"
- Fabio Capello
A bit of humor for this week's QOTW, Capello was very surprised because he thought that because
England didn't make it the the 2008 Euro's, the players would not be of high quality.

Last night we read that Rubin Kazan's manager had instructed the Russian club's groundskeeper not
to trim the grass in the stadium, so that it would slow Barca down. Now, it
is quite
flattering that other teams feel the need to go to such measures when facing us, but really, it's
starting to get a bit old.

As previously mentioned, Wayne Rooney's son Kai Wayne Rooney was born yesterday. Wayne
skipped out on Manchester United's training session to be at the hospital for the birth and was
expecting a boy, but was that all? The following is a transcript of Wayne's conversation with the
doctor immediately after Kai's birth.

I never thought I'd say it, but this is it the eyebrow of seduction is just too powerful. It
needs to be reigned in and controlled like a military grade weapon. The UN needs to sanction it and
ethics professors need to include discussion of its proper use in their curriculum. This simply
cannot go on.

we're quite sure Coleen was pregnant for several years.

And by on, we mean: Coleen Rooney is attempting to remove a 9-day-overdue baby from her womb.
Let's all wish her well. She has checked into Liverpool Women's Hospital, and hubby Wayne has
missed a training session.
We're sending thoughts, good wishes and many prayers for a safe, easy and pain-free birth.

MORNING folks.
Yesterday FP had a chance to check out a bit of Perth Glory's training session and attend the
presser. Also made a couple of interesting observations while he was there.
Firstly, while club stalwart Jamie Harnwell is a few weeks away from recovering from his injury, he
had a bit of a run and looked pretty comfortable.

Landon Donovan continues to impress. (Getty Images)
While I realize that the news of Landon Donovan winning his latest US Soccer's Honda Player Of
The Year award isn't exactly new, I thought it was important to discuss the progress of the USA's
number 10. I myself will be the first to admit was one of his fiercest critics not because of his
three stints in the Bundesliga, but because at one time his attitude was all wrong.

as balls played to some of the other players, but you can never trust sources completely, can you?
