It is being reported this morning that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs are both scouting the England
U19 star Jamaal Lascelles, who made his first senior appearance for Nottingham Forest last weekend
against Burnley, watched by both Arsenal and Spurs scouts who were alerted beforehand. It was
reported that Arsenal made a £5million offer for the [.
Very interesting revelations are emerging from the Harry Redknapp tax evasion court proceedings.
On Thursday, the Southwark Crown Court heard some very amusing statements from the Tottenham
Hotspurs manager.
Apparently, Redknapp is illiterate. He cannot read or write. In a tape recording played to the
court, Redknapp said that he did not know what an email was and that he had never sent a text or
fax in his life.
Mario Balotelli never seems to stop making the headline as despite being Manchester City savior
in previous match against Tottenham Hotspurs, Balotelli caught himself involved in another case on
that game.
The Italian striker was caught stamping Spurs' midfielder, Scott Parker, on Sunday and now are
facing a disciplinary act by the English FA, who already confirmed their stance, only waiting for
the forward to respons.
Ahead of their important match up against third place seat, Tottenham Hotspurs this weekend,
Manchester City's defender, Joleon Lescott insisted that getting a win over Spurs wouldn't be an
attempt to stop Harry Redknapp's team surged in the table but more of staying away from Manchester
United's chase.
Brad Friedel and Tottenham Hotspurs were victorious over Landon Donovan, Time Howard and Everton on
Wednesday, while Jonathan Spector and Brimingham City defeated Ipswich Town.
Together with Neymar, Santos midfield wizard Paulo Henrique Ganso is another of Brazil's
hottest prospects who is continually been linked with a move to Europe with Italian giants Inter
and Milan thought to be seriously eying his services.
However, there seems to be a new entrant in the race to acquire Ganso's signature.
Tottenham Hotspurs are continuing their pressure on the Manchester Duo in the top of premier
league table after Harry Redknapp's side successfully defeated Everton 2-0 on Wednesday.
The victory excites Redknapp as with all three points, his team are now level on points with
second place, Manchester United, and only three points shy of the leader, Man City.
Yaya Toure was named the CAF Player of the Year for being awesome in 2011, and rightly so.
Possibly for his sartorial abilities.
Actually, he showed up in different dress, which makes one think that massive robe is a prize
for winning the prize. A prize which immediately turns its wearer into a spiritual healer?

Robin Van Persie continues his fine goal scoring run for Arsenal as the Dutchman came off the
bench to lead his side beating Stoke City 3-1 at Emirates, after the two team simply sharing the
score line in the first half.
The victory continues' the Gunners' emergence in the league table as they're slowly climbing
into the top seven team after having a horrendous start to their season, which previously saw them
battling in the relegation zone.
After recently voicing out his irritation about being placed in a new position at Tottenham
Hotspurs, Rafael Van Der Vaart's future at the club could very well be in jeopardize.
This possibility occurred after Spurs' manager, Harry Redknapp, answered back to Van Der Vaart's
statement by stating that if the Dutchman is insisting to play on his preferred role than the
ex-Real Madrid player must compete with Jermaine Defoe for one position in the starting eleven.
He would've preferred to have 13 players protecting in front of him
International week. Not the easiest of weeks to get by. Especially not after that last result. A
defeat to your most bitter rival is not something that you want to linger in your thoughts. Usually
we'll just have a day or two before to mull over it before the next game.
Short-lived joy
It's only October and yet, this is already our 4th defeat in the Premier League. Depending on
where your standpoint is, one could judge this latest one. For me, it was far worse than the hiding
we got at Old Trafford. Not least because it's the North London Derby but also because unlike the
United game, we had the players on the pitch that could've matched them.
Sagna will have to come up against an escapee from the zoo today
Every time the fixture list is released each season, just like Thierry Henry once did, I look to
see when the North London derbies are. Who are the opponent prior to this game, just to see if it
will hamper our chances. Such is the importance of today's game.
Thanks for the 15 years, Arsene.
One particular story dominates the news today and that is none other than Arsene Wenger reaching
his 15th year in charge of Arsenal Football Club. That is quite some achievement for someone the
general questioned as "Arsene who?" when he first took over. During that period, he has brought us
unprecedented success both on and off the pitch.

Yes, Arsene. Stan really believes in you
In any company, changes at the highest level can lead to uncertainties in the lowest level. For
any football club, the highest level is the owners of the club and the lowest level are us, the
fans. Usually with a new person in-charge, there will be changes afoot.

Jermaine Jones' struggles for playing time at Schalke 04 have been alleviated somewhat, as Jones
made his first appearance for the club in nearly two months on Thursday.
Having last played for Schalke on Aug. 6, Jones came off the bench in the 76th minute of
Schalke's Europa League match against Maccabi Haifa to help the club preserve its 2-1 lead.
This midweek looked to be a tough week for premier league representatives in the Europa League
as no teams managed to pick up three points, although the likes of Stoke City and Tottenham
Hotspurs can consider the draws they got were pretty positives considering they were playing
away.
Meanwhile, the same thing can't really be said for Fulham, as they picked up their one point in
front of the club's die hard fans at Craven Cottage.

The excellent start made by both Manchester United and Manchester City in the early phase of the
premier league, rises the prediction that those two teams are the ones who will be challenging for
the league title this season.
This opinion however, is squashed away by Man United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, himself who
insisted that there will be much more competition in the league this season as the veteran manager
stated around five-six are challenging for premier league glory.
Tottenham Hotspurs' midfielder, Sandro, hints at potential future aside from White Hart Lane as
the Brazilian international revealed his dream of playing in Italian Serie A sometime, which he
believes would be another positive step for his footballing career.
Sandro, who is currently sidelined because of injury have been highly linked with a potential
move to several Serie A teams such as Inter Milan, Ac Milan and most recently Roma but opted to
stay in England for the new season, pretty much opens the door for those teams to approach him in
the future.
Just as it was expected, Manchester City striker, Edin Dzeko received acknowledgment for his
recent fine performances in the league after being named as Barclays Player of the Month.
Obviously the award was designated for the player's fine form in August, scoring in all of Man
City's matches for that month, including the wonderful quart-trick he bagged against Tottenham
Hotspurs on City's latest premiership match.
Manchester City, despite their riches, struggled last season for goals and lacked enough
creativity. Mancini employed a cautious defensive approach utilising the leadership of Vincent
Kompany last season. The splurge on Edin Dzeko in January was aimed at giving Man City a huge goal
threat.
The city of Manchester has two of the best teams in the world, and with a spectacular start of the
Premier League (surely the best league in the world), both teams have become candidates for the
title. On one side, Manchester City has invested heavily into building its new team, and that seems
to be bearing fruits: today they played Tottenham, and with spectacular four goals by Edin Dzeko,

Reaching the final days of the summer transfer market, Tottenham Hotspurs looking really keen on
ensuring their squad status for the new season by adding new signings and also working hard in
keeping their important player at White Hart Lane.
Regarding new additions, reports from England have confirmed that Spurs managed to acquire
Emmanuel Adebayor along with youngster, Yago Falque both on loan.
Spanish Sports paper "Marca" has published in its online section that REAL MADRID & English Premier
League Club TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS have come to an agreement to transfer French International
midfielder LASS DIARRA Lass Diarra The Clubs are said to be finishing now a few "minor" technical
details before making an official announcement at a price speculated to be around 12M€.
After adding young prospects such as Oriol Romeu and Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea finally captured
what could be considered as their first important signings this summer as the Blues set to make
official Juan Mata's signing.
The ex-Valencia player, who were courted with several other top clubs this summer, revealed the
reason he eventually chose to work with Andre Villas-Boas, stating that the Blues can offer him the
chance to win titles more than the likes of Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspurs.
Being heavily linked of searching for Paul Scholes' in the summer market, Manchester United
might just take what they currently have as according to their manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, the Red
Devils are looking at that method at the moment.
The difficulties in purchasing their targets such as Luca Modric, Samir Nasri and also Wesley
Sneijder seems to be the main reason why Ferguson is trying to make the best of what he already
have at center midfield since the club have already splashed quite a lot of money this summer.
Real Madrid "re"-announced their World Football Challenge roster today, and it has some
noticeable changes.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Ricardo Carvalho, Xabi Alonso and
Mesut Ozil, the headliners of the Madrid side, are all still set to play in Real's USA tour.
SPANISH FOOTBALL is relatively quiet today in the Sports press, except for news in reference to
tonights International Friendly between Venezuela & Spain, the dozen or so transfer rumours which
are already known & cannot be confirmed & LASS DIARRA of REAL MADRID Lass Diarra with Real Madrid
Real Madrid Coach Mourinho has not put the French International on the market, but Diarra does not

Harry Redknapp's opinon of Lionel Messi: "He's a skinny runt who looks nothing like a modern-day
footballer really. "He has funny little legs that move awkwardly when he runs and if he turned up
at your club as a 16-year-old, you'd send him away with a pat on the head and tell him he'd no
chance of making it.
ATLETICO DE MADRID seems to be the epicenter of SPANISH FOOTBALL rumour & gossip this week. The
news is not too good if your an Atletico fan & will make you wonder how the team will fair next
year if the "lane way talks" come true. The first name that many see out of the Club is DIEGO
FORLAN. As mentioned in the below post, Turkish side Besiktas & English Premier League Club
Tottenham Hotspurs
The Spanish daily Sports papers have picked up the news from Turkey, concretely from TV Channel
NTV, that Turkish Club BESIKTAS has a pre-agreement with ATLETICO DE MADRID Uruguayan forward DIEGO
FORLAN. The original source goes on further to say that Atletico de Madrid is also in accord & that
the player may even sign his new contract next week.
Das Spiel wäre wichtig gewesen für den FC Liverpool, aber es ging vollkommen in die Hose. Oder
eigentlich ja nicht, denn der Grund für die 0:2-Niederlage gegen die Tottenham Hotspurs hatte
nämlich keine Hosen an. Ein Flitzer brachte die Liverpool-Spieler komplett durcheinander und so
verloren sie im Kampf um die Europa-League-Qualifikationsplätze wichtige Punkte.
Slipping into sixth place last weekend and already seven points behind Manchester City,
Tottenham Hotspurs' chance at getting the final Champions League spot by the end of season looks
slim, but their defender, Michael Dawson, refuses give up until everything is done and dusted.
The central defender still believes that Spurs have a pretty good shot at finishing in the top
four by the end of season, and to do that they must get back on winning ways starting from this
Saturday, where Spurs are set to face Blackpool.
Rich club Manchester City are starting to grow themselves into one of the main power in the
Premier League especially having already splashing millions in building such a competitive squad
especially this season.
Considering that fact, City's winger, Adam Johnson, felt a little bit disappointed that his club
still unable to compete on the title race in this final stage of the season, despite having the
chance to do it earlier in the competition.
Just as he said after the match against West Ham United last weekend, Chelsea's coach, Carlo
Ancelotti, once again retaliate his plan to once again try out Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres,
partnership.
Ancelotti believes that although the duet wasn't working earlier on, this time it might finally
click especially since Torres has already open his account for the Blues last weekend, while
Drogba's performance has also improved in the past few weeks.
