FootBrazil spoke to Sandro Ranieri just before this year's World Cup. The midfielder has signed
a five-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur and will join the club once Internacional end their run
in the Libertadores.

Midfielder Sandro Ranieri will be staying put for the time being after Internacional knocked
holders Estudiantes out of the Libertadores on Thursday night. The Brazilians were trailing 2-0
away in Argentina and facing an exit from the competition until substitute Giuliano came on to
score a vital goal with just minutes remaining in the game.
Worst kept secret in the world? Ranieri to Spurs
Brazilian club, Internacional, have finally confirmed that midfielder Sandro Ranieri will join
Spurs. Speculation about the transfer has been rife in the UK press but very little news had come
out of the Beira-Rio. But on Monday 23rd, the Porto Alegre outfit announced on their site that
Ranieri was on his way to London for a medical with Tottenham.

On Wednesday night, Inter's vice president of football, Fernando Carvalho, told Rádio
Gaúcho: "Sandro is not moving in this transfer window. The partnership with Tottenham was not
finalized.
No comment from Sandro Ranieri
With a probable move to Spurs on the cards, Porto Alegre side Internacional have prevented
Sandro Ranieri from speaking to the press. Inter are close to selling the player to Tottenham
Hotspur and have reached a delicate stage in the negotiations. The Brazilians though, are worried
that Ranieri, who has been lukewarm over the move, may say something that impedes the transfer.

After apparently agreeing personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur, a January move to north London
is becoming less likely for Sandro Ranieri.
Despite the speculation surrounding an imminent deal with Spurs, the midfielder will report back
for training at Inter on Monday.

According to Sandro Ranieri's agent, LuÃz Paulo Chignall, the player has agreed personal terms
with Spurs.
However, the midfielder's representative also made it clear that Internacional and Tottenham
have yet to come to an agreement over the fee.

Inter's football vice president said today that their highly-rated midfielder, Sandro Ranieri,
is not about to join Spurs. During a training session on Wednesday, Fernando Carvalho denied the
player was on his way to England and stated that the Brazil man will be appearing for the club in
next year's Libertadores.

20-year-old midfielder, Sandro Ranieri, has been brought in to replace the injured Josué.
The youngster will join the squad for Brazil's World Cup qualifiers against Argentina on
September 5th and Chile four days later.
