A pair of first-half goals doomed Nurnberg to their first loss of the season on Saturday afternoon,
although a second half charge from "The Club" highlighted by a Tomas Pekhart goal assisted served
up by a Timothy Chandler cross kept the game interesting until the end.
Anyone up for watching five matches today?
We're nearing the end of the lull between the end of the European club season and the start of
the major international tourney of this summer (Copa America, which starts a week from Friday) but
the three remaining competitions we've been tracking converge today, yielding up five matches to
watch: the semifinal matches in both the UEFA U21 European Champions and the CONCACAF Gold Cup, and
the 2nd leg of the Copa Libertadores final between Santos and Peñarol.

off the second half as Danny Welbeck's header gave England the lead.
Stuart Pearce has rung the changes for England U21's do-or-die clash with the Czech
Republic here in Viborg.
The much-criticised Michael Mancienne makes way at defensive midfield for the more muscular Fabrice
Muamba, while Jack Rodwell and Danny Rose, who both disappointed against Ukraine, are on the bench,
replaced by Tom Cleverley and Scott Sinclair in a 4-2-4 formation with Danny Welbeck and Sturridge
the twin points of attack.
Spain grabbed control of Group B with a comprehensive 2:0 victory over the Czech Republic
in Viborg.
Deportivo La Coruna marksman Adrian grabbed a goal in either half to condemn the Czechs to their
first defeat in two years and place Spain a point ahead with a game to play. Valencia midifelder
Juan Mata supplied the bullets with two killer assists for Adrian.
Because it's the only football on TV at the time It is difficult to overstate just how strong the
competition will be in Denmark over the next fortnight. Belarus are the outsiders at 25/1 to win
the tournament, and yet even they beat Italy 3-0 in the second leg of their playoff to qualify.

If there's one thing FIFA doesn't like, it's healthy players skipping out on international
meetings. Well, FIFA doesn't like a lot of things, but that one's high on the list.
Sparta Prague had three players too ill or injured to make their international treks this week,
which would've gone completely unnoticed until they showed up on Zenit's website after partaking in
a club friendly, wearing different names on the back of their shirts.
