Saturday The January camp moves from training to games, with the United States hosting Venezuela at
9pm on Galavision and ESPN3.com. A note to those of you unfamiliar with how ESPN3 works: it's
available to people with certain internet service providers (Comcast, Time Warner, Bright House, or
Verizon).

The Los Angeles Galaxy are turning their success on the playing field to success in the board
room with a new local television deal.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the Galaxy signed a television deal with Time
Warner Cable valued at 55 million over 10 years.
According to a story that broke in the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday evening, the Galaxy are set
to announce a 10 year, $55 million deal with two new Time Warner Regional Sports networks to
televise Galaxy games. The new networks (one in Spanish and the other in English) are fighting
for content in the crowded LA Sports market and this deal guarantees live programming from March to
October.
Need further proof that soccer is here to stay in America? Time Warner Cable is going to pay the
LA Galaxy a whooping $55 million over the next 10 years for their broadcast rights. Yeah, that's a
whole lotta lettuce. Sure no other MLS team can command that kind of deal but you gotta believe
that this kind of thing will only continue to get better for other teams in their markets.
The defending state champion, the state's leading scorer, teams riding long unbeaten or winning

Yes, there are plenty of story lines for the WIAA Division 3 state boys soccer tournament, which
starts with the semifinals Friday morning at Time Warner Cable Stadium at Milwaukee's Uihlein
Soccer Park.
The 30th annual WIAA boys soccer state tournament kicks off Thursday with the Division I
quarterfinals at Time Warner Cable Field at Milwaukee's Uihlein Soccer Park.
If you can't make it to Milwaukee, Fox Sports Wisconsin will provide a live stream of the
matches online. Here's a look at the eight sides hoping to raise the gold ball after the Division 1
state final Saturday afternoon.
Jessica Axt (Germantown) and Milwaukee School of Engineering seemingly scored at will in
a Northern Athletics Conference women's soccer match Saturday.
Axt set a school record and matched the second-best total in NCAA Division III history with
seven goals in a 17-0 rout of Rockford at Uihlein Soccer Park's Time Warner Cable Stadium.
In light of yesterday's post on how flakey ESPN3 has been during the Women's World Cup, I was
implored to try the moblie-oriented "WatchESPN" app on my iphone. MOST of the experience was great
and made up for the impossibly small screen. The part that wasn't revolved around the cumbersome
authentication the app requires.
The 29th annual WIAA girls soccer state tournament kicks off Thursday at Uihlein Soccer Park in
Milwaukee with the Division 1 quarterfinals.
It's the first time the event is being played on the FieldTurf surface that was installed at
Uihlein's Time Warner Cable Field last fall. If you can't make it to Milwaukee, all games will be
streamed live on www.
It's been almost 12 months since DISH Network were the first TV provider to launch Fox Soccer
Channel in HD. Since then, slowly but surely, other major TV providers such as DirecTV, some Time
Warner regions and smaller cable providers have added the channel. Verizon FiOS customers have been
enduring an agonizing wait to find out when the channel will be added to their programming
guide.
When EPL Talk reader Drew Meger realized that he was going to get home late today and would miss
the live broadcast of Manchester United against Stoke City on Fox Soccer Channel, he decided to
turn to his trusty DVR on Comcast and set the game to record for later viewing.
Except that the Fox Soccer Channel had disappeared from his DVR line-up (see above screenshot
showing a missing channel 256).
