The Springfield Catholic Fightin' Irish seniors are hoping to do what no other senior class has
done before them reach four straight Final 4 state tournaments. Coinciding with the move to three
classes from two, this graduating class can place their own stamp on the history of this program
with a win on Saturday.
We'll know three of the four Sectional teams vying for a single spot in the State Final 4 by the
end of the evening. The fourth slot will be determined tomorrow when Glendale and Nixa play. Note
that there may be a time change on that game to try and avoid weather issues.

Sporting KC had the control of the game last night at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park, but were unable to
take advantage of the possession and were only able to grab a point as they tied Philadelphia 1-1.

Saturday, July 23. Major League Soccer tries to avoid day summer games for a reason. The organizers
of the World Football Challenge were the ones that ordered the switch.
PRAGUE — UEFA president Michel Platini says he's OK with the idea of shifting the 2022 World Cup
in Qatar to winter from summer to avoid extreme desert temperatures. After a UEFA executive
committee meeting in Prague on Friday, Platini said it would be easier to organize the World Cup in
January, instead of June.
