LOS ANGELES -- David Beckham has always been a vital part of AEG president Tim Leiweke's plans
for the Los Angeles Galaxy. Now as Beckham prepares for his second stint with the club, Leiweke is
considering the legacy that he will leave on his team.
David Beckham has joined LA Galaxy owner Tim Leiweke in hoping that the invaluable Chelsea
midfielder Frank Lampard considers signing for LA Galaxy in the future.
Lampard, 33, has been linked to the MLS Cup winners in recent weeks but having rubbished all
reports of an exit from Stamford Bridge, the midfielder looks set to continue his impressive form
for the West Londoners.
From Barcelona to Manchester United, there has never been a shortage of interest in Frank
Lampard's services over the years as the Chelsea midfielder continues to age brilliantly.
But despite the continuation of his superb form for the Blues, the fact remains that Lampard is
approaching his 34th birthday and as many in Europe will say, it is ideal for him to look overseas
for a more lucrative opportunity at this stage of his career.

Sky Sports reports that Bolton manager Owen Coyle "claims no decision has been taken as yet
regarding a permanent deal" for Sebastien Le Toux.
Jonathan Tannenwald tweets, "A Union source says the team 'would not use Tim Ream as a
benchmark' in any negotiations over Le Toux regarding transfer fee.

David Beckham is not heading to Paris, but it is not a certainty that he will be returning to
the Los Angeles Galaxy just yet, at least according to AEG President Tim Leiweke.
Word came from Paris early on Tuesday morning from officials of Paris St.
Is this goodbye? David Beckham could play his last MLS game for the Galaxy Sunday in the MLS
championship game - and not even the club knows whether he will return (AP Photo).
Or, at least David Beckham, whose five-year MLS contract expires at year's end, has not shared
his decision privately - if he has made one - with Galaxy owner Anschutz Entertainment Group and
President Tim Leiweke, who spoke to reporters Friday at Home Depot Center during the MLS MVP
presentation ceremony.
Here we are with one game left to go on the MLS calendar and it's an all-AEG affair with the Galaxy
pretty much hosting the Dynamo. So we can all rest assured that Tim Leiweke will be standing on a
podium with a trophy, named after Uncle Phil Anschutz himself, at the end of 90 minutes come hell
or high-water and I ain't mad at that.
The LA Galaxy rolled out the red carpet for Robbie Keane as the club spared no expense for Friday's
presentation/press conference. Free food, free Guinness and lots of people to see him for the first
time in the flesh.
He didn't exactly disappoint on Saturday, did he?
Keane scored a goal on his debut for the Galaxy and was rather calm about it afterward.

Major League Soccer's not-so-secret announcement of this year's MLS Cup venue has officially
been made public.
The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., will be the site of the 2011 MLS Cup final, marking the
fourth time the event will have been played there. The match is slated for Sunday, Nov.
The Los Angeles Galaxy head into the 2011 season as one of the favorites to win MLS Cup, and now
it appears the club could have a chance to win a third championship in its home stadium.
Tim Leiweke, head honcho of Galaxy owners AEG, dropped some serious hints on Friday that the
2011 MLS Cup Final could be played at Home Depot Center, which has hosted the MLS Cup Final on
three previous occasions (2003,2004 and 2008).
LONDON, England Premier League Tottenham Hotspur and David Beckham's Los Angeles Galaxy are
planning closer ties that could lead to players crossing the Atlantic in both directions. Tim

bidding in partnership with Spurs to take over the London [.
The LA Galaxy have given David Beckham permission to stay and train with Tottenham Hotspur for
another two weeks. At first glance, this is a strange decision by the Galaxy who are back in
training themselves, as they get ready for another MLS season.
So why let Becks stay in London instead of join his LA teammates?
David Beckham's training stint with Tottenham is part of a "strategic alliance" that will see
further exchanges of players between the Los Angeles Galaxy and the Premier League club. Tim
Leiweke, president of the AEG group which owns the Galaxy, said the trans-Atlantic partnership will
grow even stronger if AEG and Tottenham win their joint bid to take over London's Olympic Stadium
after the 2012 Games.
Three days after Galaxy icon Cobi Jones announced he was leaving the club where he had spent
virtually his entire career, the new employee of the New York Cosmos spoke with journalists today
about his role with the club.
For now he plans to remain in Los Angeles, albeit doing plenty of traveling between the youth
academies the Cosmos, who have ambitions of entering MLS as early as 2013, have established on each
coast.
Why does everyone hate the Galaxy?
Okay, wrong question. Right now they're the Kings, and they want to be the Lakers. This not being
basketball territory, I won't bore you with the many ways the Lakers represent Nearly Everything
Wrong With Sports (the Clippers representing the remainder), but the Lakers are as detestable as
they are successful.
LOS ANGELES, Cal. German second-division club Ingolstadt has signed United States forward Edson
Buddle. Buddle's contract with Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy had expired. He was MLS's
leading scorer for most of last season despite missing more than a month for the World Cup. Buddle
ended the regular season as the second-highest scorer [.
