Tiger Woods is still looking for his first official win in more than two years. However, he's
slowly but surely climbing the official world golf ranking. In the latest ranking, Tiger is 17th
overall. He's sandwiched by Phil Mickelson at 16 and Sergio Garcia at 18.

That Tiger Woods killer instinct from his prime? That seems to be lost forever. During the Abu
Dhabi HSBC Championship, Tiger collapsed during the final round to finish a disappointing third.
Robert Rock ended up winning, while Rory McIlroy finished second.
In the first three rounds, Woods got better and better posting a 70, 69 and a 66.

La revista estadounidense TIME ha elegido al jugador argentino del FC Barcelona Leo Messi como

"Sheer stupidity."
Maybe Leigh Griffiths had been fed that line in the bizarre public apology issued by Hibs
today.
But it's pretty much bang on the money as a description of his behaviour in the past few weeks.
Gesturing Griffiths, the daftest laddie in the whole of Leith.

Tiger Woods got a taste of his own medicine at the weekend when a fan hurled a sausage at his

My affinity toward Landon Donovan is remarkably simple: He's about my height and about my age.
It's enough to create a bond in my brain.
I suppose if I grew up in Europe the success he's found in athletics despite his small stature
might not surprise me quite so. But I didn't, so it does. The kids born across the pond in the
early 1980s had little guys such as Baggio (five-nine) and Scholes (five-seven) to adore after
Johan Cruyff (five-eleven) led the way, but American sporting heroes of the 1990s were larger than
life and simply huge.
Jonathan Bornstein came back earlier than expected after PRP therapy
Jonathan Bornstein was one of the first soccer players in the USA to undergo Platelet Rich
Plasma therapy, now known commonly as PRP. Blood was drawn from the Chivas player and then
centrifuged leaving mostly platelets.
From the outside, it appears as if Oscar De La Hoya has it all. He's a boxing legend with a
flourishing business, good looks and a likeable personality. However, Oscar De La Hoya recently
admitted that he thought about suicide after hitting rock bottom in the last few years.
Oscar De La Hoya's rock bottom included alcohol and cocaine abuse.
Actually, it's 101, but who's counting.
There is a lot to look back on. Many posts have been retired to pasture, but they may be worth
another look. Readers can find anything written by clicking Posts, except for the Americanizing
Soccer articles, which can be read by clicking Series. Some of the most popular articles can be

In an American sports landscape dominated by four primary sports (football, baseball,
basketball, and hockey), Major League Soccer has always faced an uphill battle since it's inception
in the mid-90's. Some would say that the saturation point may have been reached long ago,
especially with the increased popularity of fringe sports such as NASCAR and Tiger
Woods'-generation golf.
Adam Scott won the Bridgestone Invitational but that wasn't the story. The story was that his
caddy, Steve Williams, helped him win. Who is Steve Williams? He's the caddie that Tiger Woods
fired after the two worked together for a dozen years.
As Steve Williams helped Adam Scott win, Tiger Woods was busy finishing 37th overall.

I want to take this opportunity to inform our newest readers that not only can this site be
blunt at times, but there may be sparse usage of profanity as well.
I'm certain some people find this outrageous or just off-putting and that's ok. This is simply
my way of saying this blog is probably not for you, and it might be best to unsubscribe.

Arsène Wenger has so far built 3 distinct teams.
The first team 96-00 was built on the rubble left by George Graham. At the time he got great
credit for rehabilitating and actually improving the side but then revisionists like Myles Palmer
started to justify their own agendas by questioning his achievement declaring it to be a George
Graham Built Side that won the double in ‘98.
I have a new piece in Slate about the Champions League final and whether we're about to
see the end of Barcelona's magical run of the last few seasons. Of course, no sooner had I ventured
this possibility in a draft than I came down with a sudden, bad case of food poisoning; most of
this was written while I was clinging to the edge of my bed, sustained by nothing but Gatorade and
rice.
Earlier today, we reported the news that Oscar De La Hoya entered rehab. We then got a tip that
Oscar De La Hoya's Twitter account points to the boxing legend having marriage problems. After
looking at the tweets by Oscar De La Hoya, it appears as if the tipster could be right. What do you
think? Let us know in the comments below.

A lot of press around the Jay DeMerit story and rightfully so. It's a beautiful tale as a
Wisconsin soccer god and good guy grabs his knapsack and heads to Europe in search of a "football"
career on the very island that birthed the game.
Dave Kidd (for the second time in recent weeks, worryingly enough the first was his suspicions
over the now disappeared "Fulham Daisy") recently tweeted about Seve Ballesteros (funny how it used
to be "baLL" and now we're all sophisticated it's "baY"; I remember either Barry Davies or Martin
Tyler called Soren LerbY "Soren LerbU" in some tournament or other and it just sounded
wrong.
Unlike Roger Federer, Tiger Woods is not finished. Tiger showed at the most recent Masters that he
will be able to hang around leader boards of Majors for at least another few years. Hanging around
enough will mean at least a couple more wins.
Prior to his documented downfall and divorce from late 2009 through 2010, it would have been
inconceivable to imagine Woods becoming a more riveting sports figure than what he already had
achieved by dominating with 14 Majors and doing it as one of the first minority figures in a
homogenous sport.

The FA's decision to ban Wayne Rooney was so ludicrous that even the press are on his side!
The Independent: Saturday was about one man letting rip against his persecutors. Punishing him
for it, as Rooney may well agree, is a load of bollocks.
The Guardian: Really it is Sky who should be being reprimanded here, for employing a guy with a
hand-held camera to run up to players at key moments and poke it in their faces, and the football
authorities, for allowing them to do so.
Remember when the domestic season was over, the World Cup was won and we woke from a celebratory
stupor, still sticky from spilled buckets of sangria, to realise there was no football for like, a
month?
There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth at the time, but because we're never ones to be
beaten by something as minor as our entire raison d'etre going AWOL, the Kickette HQ embraced the
problem.
World Number 3 Tiger Woods has been fined an undefined amount after he was spitting several
times during his final round in the Dubai Classic which was won by Spaniard Alvaro Quiros who

For many, there is some reason behind their support for their club. For some it might be the
tradition, for some social approval, success of their club or for their star players or managers.
It often puzzles the bystanders as to what limits the fans might go for their clubs.
Mitra Kukar come from the east of Kalimantan or the island formerly known as Borneo. They have
enjoyed a flying start to the season with six wins from their opening seven games. Their only
reverse came in a mad 20 minutes away to fellow Group 2 challengers when they shipped four
goals.
And they have been the only goals conceded all season.
