Fredy Montero scored a pair of insane goals this week

One came off a volley, the other was a completely blind header.

Fredy Montero hasn't dominated the Chinese Super League to quite the degree we thought he might, but the former Seattle Sounders forward is having himself a pretty solid season with nine goals in 24 appearances.

Two of those goals came in Tianjin Teda's most recent game — a 4-1 win — and both were mighty impressive.

Fredy Montero is on another one of his patented hot streaks. The former Seattle Sounders forward scored a brace in Tianjin Teda's most recent match, giving him four in his past five games.

Neither of the goals were especially pretty, but Montero showed a striker's instinct in getting on the end of a pair of left-footed efforts and finishing confidently both times.

It would appear as though Fredy Montero's game-winner on Saturday was a bit of a parting gift for Sporting CP. Reports out of Portugal and Colombia are independently claiming Montero has been transferred to Chinese club Tianjin Teda, a team that narrowly avoided relegation last season. The Chinese Super League's campaign roughly mirrors MLS, starting in March and ending in November.

Football’s Remaining One Club Men

Now that Raul and Guti have upped and left for pastures which don't involve Jose Mourinho's non-love and looking quite odd in the process -the list of one club men has invariably shortened, both in quanityt and quality (of name, at least).

So the brainstorm began: Who remains? Knowing full well Wikipedia keeps tabs on this sort of stuff, I dashed over on the interwebs for a look and, of course, there it was.

In the AFC Champions League there was virtually nothing left to play for in the east of the continent as all of the qualifiers from Groups E-H were known before kick-off.
