Refreshed and reposed after a break for Christmas, we're back this morning with a double dose of
Non-League Videos Of The Week. We have a couple of matches from the Blue Square Premier coming up a
little later this morning, but we are starting off with five of Boxing Day's matches from the Blue
Square South.

A trip to Wembley is starting to come into view for the non-league clubs that are still involved
in this year's FA Trophy, but yesterday's First Round matches saw the qualifiers from the last
round joined by the clubs of the Blue Square Premier and we have highlights and goals from no less
than seven of yesterday's matches.

decent budget and those without seems to be growing a bit more in the southern half of Step 2 than
in the northern half.
The events of the weekend in the Football Conference have re-opened a debate within non-league
football that has lain dormant for several years, in spite of increasingly contradictory
geographical arrangements starting to become more commonplace. Mike Bayly
wonders whether it is time to rip up the league committee's rule book and start again.
Glittering past successes for the Diamonds
Yesterday Rushden and Diamonds FC were officially expelled from the Conference, marking probably
the darkest day in the very short history of many fans second favourite team (if not just for their
unique name). Struggling with debts of nearly a million pounds, and having been docked five points
last month for unpaid tax payments, the club now face a winding-up hearing on Monday, whilst also
now having to plan for a very uncertain future, having admitted they could not guarantee being able
to fulfil next season's fixtures.
