1. Now Manchester City know what it's like to be on the receiving end of an epic 3-2 comeback. At least no trophies were on the line this time. 2. Roberto Mancini is presumably wishing that all parties had taken his advice about Cristiano Ronaldo taking a six-month sabbatical seriously. 3. Somebody at Channel 5 [.

I again thinking of Roberto Di Matteo's press conference the other day when he spoke of the
expectations of Chelsea this season and it got me thinking about what would be an "acceptable"
season for many of you the Chelsea fans out there looking ahead to the new season.
Di Matteo said:
"Having won the European title might bring some expectations, yes, but I think it's a
club that has always had expectations.

Tony looks at Major League Soccer clubs going in different directions and if there is hope for the
teams on the slide. Tell me something good about Saturday night's New England – Philadelphia
game? Philadelphia completed a lot of passes and had lots of possession.
Every week the New England Soccer Today crew will look beyond the standings to rank each of
the 19 Major League Soccer (MLS) teams. This week Sean Donahue and Julian Cardillo contributed
rankings. Comments are followed by the ranker's name and the rank they gave that team. *Note:

second leg of the Copa Libertadores final to claim their first ever title in the competition (3-1
aggregate score). Brazilian-born, attempted Qatar international Emerson Sheik scored both goals for
Corinthians within 20 minutes of each other in the second half.
Nuri Sahin has hit out at suggestions he joined Liverpool for the money by outlining the reasons
for his switch to Anfield.
Turkish midfielder Sahin has come to the Reds on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid and is in
contention to make his debut against Arsenal on Sunday.
He says he had offers from elsewhere but decided to make the move to Merseyside because he has
faith in Brendan Rodgers and wants to play regularly.
Liverpool owner John W Henry says he would still have sacked Kenny Dalglish even if the manager had
led the Reds to FA Cup success.
Anfield legend Dalglish was shown the door by the club four days after the Reds came in eighth in
the Premier League - their worst finish since 1994.
Suggestions have been raised that the manager might have survived the axe had he followed up
Liverpool's Carling Cup success with another Wembley triumph in the FA Cup, where they lost out to
Chelsea in the final.
Apologies if this is redundant, but I wanted to share some visuals to back up Rich's previous
post.
Dembele's dashboard is below:
For those wondering, the 'X' is a tackle, the hexagons are take-ons. Orange is successful,
purple is unsuccessful. And as we can see, he had many successful tackles and take-ons all over the
pitch; all while posting a 96% passing completion rate.

It turns out that the best defense isn't a good offense, after all.
After mounting an early-two goal lead, the Revolution defense conceded a season-high four goals
en route to a frenzied 4-3 defeat to the Crew on Saturday.
What a treat! Six minutes of ranting over Van Persie from a guy who's not quite as angry over
the whole ordeal as he'd probably like to have you believe, before he sets about delivering the
ultimate hammer blow selling him on FIFA 12 not once, not twice, but THREE times.
Saturday's 7:30 PM match between the aspiring Seattle Sounders and struggling Goats features one
of the hottest teams in MLS and a team that is bewildering. Despite several name brand players on
offense Chivas USA has 9 fewer goals than the next worst in the league. If it wasn't for Dan
Kennedy and the strong defense there would be no chance for the other SoCal team to make the MLS
Cup Playoffs.
We lost to Chivas USA three times Will we lose to FC Dallas again? Trencito arrested Reserves
defeated Chivas USA 4-2 on Sunday behind 3 goals from Bright Dike and a goal from Sal Zizzo.

The Blackburn fans' 'Kean Out' campaign has been relentless over the last few months, including
flying the message over Ewood Park and displaying banners at the London 2012 Olympics. And yet the
under-fire manager has seemed untouchable as far as the club's owners were concerned... until now.
After more than a season of poor football [.

Three times the U.S. charwomen fell behind against Canada in Monday's semi. Three times they came

unexampled.

In more bad news for the few remaining fans of Singapore football officials have been so delighted
not just with the League Cup but the Plate as well, for those poor buggers knocked out at the group
