ITS was the first to reveal that Fabio Capello would quit the England post and Tottenham coach
Harry Redknapp would become England manager BEFORE Euro 2012. Our closely knit sources here at In
The Stands tipped us off about the move back in September 2011 when the Three Lions laboured to an
uninspiring 1-0 win [.

Never one to hide his light under a bushel, West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has eased Hammers fans
fears by reiterating that, despite being linked to the England job (a tiny bit), he is still fully

Who would want to be the England manager? It seems far more trouble than it's worth. The Three
Lions' new caretaker boss, Stuart Pearce, is now feeling the heat from the nation's press, after
his brother's far-right views were once again highlighted by the newspapers.

The players are all coming out of the woodwork. After keeping miserably silent and not offering
an ounce of support for their former manager. Man, those must have been the toughest five years of
their lives? But they're now tweeting their approval of Harry Redknapp as favourite to lead the
Three Lions.

Fabio Capello resigns as England coach- Italian gaffer quits before Euro 2012 is a post from Soccer
Blogger. Follow Soccer Blogger on Twitter England manager Fabio Capello has put in his papers
months before the team travels to Poland and Ukraine for the 2012 European Championships.
The artist formerly known as England's Brave John Terry. Again.
Innocent or guilty, right or wrong the time has come for the Chelsea captain to leave the Three
Lions, and the circus surrounding them, behind. Permanently.
An era passed
It's difficult to argue however much I disagree with the Football Association's decision to
relieve Terry of the England captaincy in wake of the racist abuse trial he faces in July.
By Alan Duffy
The FA have finally decided that, until the John Terry case is resolved, the England man should
be stripped of the captaincy. The FA expect the trial to be over and done with prior to the Euro
Finals, but one wonders if JT will ever have the pleasure of sporting the captain's armband for his
country again.
Anton, or is that your name? Now, touch my skin. Worship it.
One should ask the FA why they did such a thorough job investigating Luis Suarez's racial abuse
of Patrice Evra and then drop the ball on John Terry doing the same against Anton Ferdinand? Suarez
gets an eight match ban, while Terry gets rewarded with a deferment of his trial till after the
2012 Euro is over and retains his captaincy of the Three Lions to boot.

English rugby is pretty much in the doledrums following a World Cup campaign that can best be
described as a 'fiasco', in which the Rugby Football Union leaked on players, the players leaked on
each other and Mike Tindall did a bad thing with a blonde lady in a Queensland bar or so is my
limited understanding on the matter.
Gary Neville has been asked to give a motivational talk to the England rugby team today.
England's rugby coach, Stuart Lancaster, asked Neville to deliver the talk to help sort out the
rugby team who made a show of themselves at last year's World Cup.
"When Gary Neville says it is an honour, it is an honour, if the players understand that,
then you get more responsible behaviour as well," said Lancaster.

Having found himself in the middle of the Andrei Arshavin/Arsene Wenger booing controversy at
the Emirates at the the weekend, teenage winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has apparently now played
himself into Fabio Capello's plans for the Euro 2012 finals.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that midfielder Jack Wilshere's rehabilitation
process has finally reached the phase where he can take part in outdoor training sessions.
Wilshere's last competitive football match remains the Euro 2012 qualifier that he played for
England against Switzerland in June last year.

Why the FA should get Harry Redknapp lined up as the next England boss NOW
Harry Redknapp is the man to lead English football out of the dark ages. I would love nothing
more than for the Football Association to tell Harry that he is their No 1 choice to replace
Fabio Capello as England manager after Euro 2012.
Why Capello's reputation rests on the next six months
Redemption time. Or simply confirmation that he was the most expensive failed mercenary ever.
For Fabio Capello, the judgement will be made by July 1, stark and clear-cut. The stain of
Bloemfontein, of a World Cup campaign that descended into chaos, farce and ultimately humiliation,
still lies over Capello's reputation.
The Uruguayan outrage at Luis Suarez's eight-game ban proves just how far they are behind England
in eradicating racism.
Suarez is alleged to have called Patrice Evra a Negro during Liverpool's game against Manchester
United on 15th October. He and his fellow countrymen claim that the term is not offensive when used
in Uruguay.

England's chances at Euro 2012 have been given a boost after UEFA decided to suspended the third
game of the striker's three match ban following his sending off against Montenegro in October.
It now means that the England striker can play in his country's final group stage game against
Ukraine, though he will definitely miss the first two games against France and Sweden.

Next summer, Fabio Capello's England will be facing both France and Sweden in the European
Championship group stages, just as they had done 20 years previous.
In the 1992 finals in Sweden, a Graham Taylor-led England side endured a dismal tournament,
losing to the hosts (courtesy of Thomas Brolin's famous goal) after playing out goalless draws with
both Denmark (the eventual winners) and a France side which included Eric Cantona and Jean-Pierre
Papin.

With co-hosts Poland and Ukraine placed in the first pot of the Euro 2012 draw, there was bound
to be at least one brutally-tough group in next summer's tournament.
Group B gets the distinction as being the Group of Death, as the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal

The wait is over and the four groups have been unveiled for this coming summer's Euro 2012 event

Friday's draw, hosted by the latter nation, saw Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal placed together
with joint-favorites Germany and Netherlands in Group B, which has emerged as the clear 'group of
death'.
