There are many critics who love bickering about the downward spiral of Italian
football but at least they have the equivalent of a glamorous Oscar
night! Finally, Zlatan Ibrahimovic silenced his entire phone-book of haters last
night and won the title of Serie A's 'Best Player in 2011′ while Edison Cavani's
Udinese were announced 'Best Club'.
Swedish international and AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been named Serie's A's best
player for 2011. This comes as no surprise bearing the season he had with the Rossoneri.
The annual award ceremony which was held in Milan, is voted for by Serie A players and
recognises the best player, best coach, best club and the best referee.
It's clear that Michel Telo's Brazilian hit song 'Ai Seu Te Pego' is
still popular within the Italian football scene, or at least to Milan's 'Carioca' Club of
Robinho, Thiago Silva and Pato.
During Milan's 3-0 defeat of Novaro last night, Robinho did the famous dance move after netting
the second goal.

Those overpaid, underworked suits ensconced in the plush environs of Geneva have taken time out
from their golf outings and gala receptions to put together their team of the year for 2011 which
has been compiled from over 4.

Goalkeeper Samir Handanovic Handanovic has been imperious in goal this year. Signed to Udinese for
€40000, he has since established himself as number one for club and country. Many times has he
almost single-handedly won matches for Udinese with his performances helping them finish fourthlast
season and this season challenging Juventus for the top honour.
A couple of weeks ago I wrote a small article selecting the best eleven in Europe who wear the
number thirteen shirt. I thought I'd look into this subject further and I believe that if you take
the top five leagues in Europe (Spain, Italy, Germany, France and England) that the highest number
you can make an eleven from (you need a goalkeeper remember) is 33.

The 2011/12 UEFA Champions League has been an enthralling competition so far.
Out of all the groups in the group qualification phase, Group H contains 2 of the best teams in the
European competition: Italian giants AC Milan and the current Champions League trophy holders
Barcelona.
The other teams confined in Group H are as follows: Gambrinus liga outfit FC Viktoria Plzen, and
Belarusian Premier League team FC BATE Borisov.
Kicking off our Wednesday column is the Brazilian trio of Thiago Silva, Robinho and
Pato who are seen here passionately dancing to "Ai se eu te pego" ("Oh, if I
catch you", a cheeky tune by by Michel Teló) on a train. This video has been
going viral, so you absolutely must see it for Pato's
cringe-worthy dance moves, which he has been known for since his days at
Internacional.

Well, well... what do we have here? It's Babbo Natale of course! Everyone
wishes it were Antonio Cassano in that brilliant get-up, but it was just a club
representative (probably moonlighting as the overworked club mascot) who worked the crowd
at San Siro last night.

When Thiago Silva popped up to head home from Clarence Seedorf's corner deep into injury time at
the Camp Nou, I celebrated like it was the winner. But, it was not. It was merely an equaliser that
earned us a draw yet that felt like a win. By universal consensus, Barcelona are the best team

AC Milan have a tradition of employing a 'Mini Selecao' within their team, which means their
players feel at 'home' more due to the large number of Rossoneri Brazilian players stationed there.
Obviously, it's churrascaria at Robinho's porch every Sunday... there's
no working your way around that, Thiago Silva and family!
FELIZ terça-feira! Brazil defeated Egypt 2-0 last
night and Jonas netted in both goals for Mano's men ("quão legaaal" for
the Valenciano!) By all accounts, the selecao were expected to win this match anyway and
despite all his attempts, Hulk wasn't able to score from any of his best chances upfront.
Mano Menezes has a final word before Brazil's clash with Egypt
Brazil squad in full here
Mano Menezes has named the side that should start in the friendly against Egypt on Monday. The
coach has made changes from the team that beat Gabon 2-0 last week. Daniel Alves returns from
suspension and replaces Manchester United's Rafael.

NSYNC they ain't, but K-PB's got some chords on him, no? via dirtytackle.
You lot have been so moody this week! First, your response to Christine Bleakley's new fitness
DVD can only be described as 'mixed', then you disturbed us by referring to Andre Villas Boas as a
'ginger stallion', before taking serious exception to Revista Cuore's assertion that The
Ramos™ is ugly.
Having a good week, are you? Well KPB which are the initials born for a pop idol is having a
better week than you. The one man show against Lecce, and now he's busy singing birthday wishes to
Al Jazeera, and doing it far better than anyone probably expected. Which is a statement that could
be applied more broadly to KPB as a whole.

In which, in celebration of Al Jazeera Sport's 8th anniversary, AC Milan's in-house boyband
serenade the Arab station with a little birthday ditty that sees Kevin-Prince Boateng taking on
lead vocal duties while Robinho supplies the beat and Thiago Silva and Pato.
Here we go again... new rides for these futbolitos! Last Friday, Real Madrid attended
an Audi go-karting event where they all pretended to be Formula 1 drivers. This week, it's the
Rossoneri's turn to carry out their marketing duties, where they received new cars
with customized front plates.
Real Madrid midfielder Kaka has been included in Coach Mano Menezes squad for Brazil's up
coming friendlies against Gabon and Egypt in November. This sees the 29 year old make a return to
the Selecao after a 15 month absence.
Madrid's past league matches have seen the midfielder give vital performances that have
resulted in wins that have taken them to the top of the La Liga table.
Bob Bradley's first game in charge of the Egyptian national team is a little more than a couple
of weeks away, and his opponent, Brazil, named its squad for the friendly that will take place in
Doha, Qatar, on Nov. 14.
While it's not a complete first-team squad because of domestic-based players staying in Brazil
for the final stretch of the Brazilian championship, the Selecao are re-introducing Real Madrid
midfielder Kaka to the mix for the first time since the 2010 World Cup.
Kaká finding form with Real Madrid and now back with Brazil
Mano Menezes has announced his squad for the international friendlies versus Gabon on 10th
November and Egypt four days later.
With the Campeonato Brasileiro in the run in to the end of the championship, Menezes has listened
to the Brazilian clubs calls to leave their players out of the Brazil's games.
Max Allegri has named his squad for the Parma clash. Clarence Seedorf as expected has not been
included along with Alexandre Pato and Gennaro Gattuso who is out for six months. Surprisingly
Thiago Silva has been included but it is doubtful he will start. GOALKEEPERS – Abbiati, Roma
DEFENDERS – Abate, Antonini, Bonera, Mexes, Taiwo, [.
Against Lecce we saw the very best and the very worst of Milan. Luckily, despite being 3-0 down at
half-time we were able to come back and win in the most dramatic of circumstances. The team will
head into the Parma fixture inspired by their win at the Stadio via del Mare. Kevin Prince [...]
Max Allegri has announced his squad for his side's match against Lecce. Notable yet expected
exclusions include Gennaro Gattuso, Alexandre Pato, Mathieu Flamini and Thiago Silva who are all
suffering various injuries. Philippe Mexes has been selected but Allegri has suggest Mario Yepes
may start in his place alongside Alessandro Nesta.
Milan coach Max Allegri has stated that new signing Philippe Mexes could become a starting eleven
player for the Italian champions. However, the Frenchman may still have to wait his turn as the
tactician hinted that he may start him from the bench for Sunday's night's encounter against Lecce.
"Yepes could play tomorrow.
A memorable round for the Italian clubs who took seven points from a possible nine to place
themselves in good positions for progression into the knock-out stages. Inter Milan have had a
torrid start to their domestic season. Following a shock loss to Turkish minnows Trabzonspor in
Champions League and the dismissal of Provincial manager Gian Piero Gasperini, the European
Champions of 2010 earned.
1) They're baaaaaack! And probably better than ever. The Champions have had a sluggish start to the
season, but the biggest shock was not the high profile losses against Napoli and Juventus
themselves, but the manner in which they were utterly outplayed by both pretenders and looked
completely toothless.
Champions League football resumes this week as Milan entertain Belarussian side BATE Borisov at the
San Siro on Wednesday night. Max Allegri's side enter this match on the up after their impressive
3-0 win over Palermo last weekend. Robinho's return seemed to help dispense with the lethargic and
predictable side we had seen in the [.
Easily one of the most underrated aspects of football is the prematch press conference
photography. Before the Champions League? It's magic. Dozens of photogs clamoring for the best
facial expressions, angles and moments of maniacal madness.
Andres Villas Boas appears as though he's running through the cycle of emotions posed by an
acting class teacher, while Massimiliano Allegri is looking to explode someone's brain with his
own.

More friendly fire from Brazil OTP thought that Thiago Silva's clumsy corner collision with David

Brazilian centre-back pairing David Luiz and Thiago Silva unveiled a cunning new corner routine
against Costa Rica over the weekend that they'd obviously spent all of five minutes working on and
seemed to largely involve ramming their faces together at high speed in a bid to confuse their
markers.
Este martes es fecha FIFA y casi todas las selecciones del mundo se concentraran para jugar

mas atractivos, México recibiendo al que sera la selección anfitriona del mundial 2014 la
selección Brasileña, la mas ganadora en la historia de los mundiales.
