They may have lost to Osasuna over the weekend, but don't blame it on lady
luck, por favor! Here's a snapshot of Barcelona's 'girlfriends club' at the Nou Camp last
week during Barca's Copa del Rey semi-final fixture.

Barcelona's shocking away form resulted in another loss last night, and with it any chance that
Barca has of retaining their La Liga title this season.
Barcelona have now dropped a staggering 16 points away from him in the league this season. As
incredible number. And a number that will cost Barca a chance to retain its La Liga crown.
FC Barcelona would belooking at a huge 10 point deficit with League leaders Real Madrid by the
end of tomorrow night after going down 3-2 against osasuna. If the Villareal draw had put a huge
blow to Barca's title hopes, then this defat at Pamplona virtually ends the league hopes. If Real
madrid win against Levante at home tomorrow, the lead at the top will climb to a huge 10
points.

Lionel Messi scored one and assisted another as Barcelona successfully fought off their San
Sebastian rivals in a freezing, sub-zero encounter at the Camp Nou.
Pep Guardiola rolled out the reserves for this one, choosing to rest key starters ahead of his
team's Copa del Rey semi final clash with Valencia on Wednesday.
According to Gaizka Mendieta , there is a big possibility that Barca coach Pep Guardiola could
soon be on his way out of the record breaking club. A lot of uncertainty has arisen over
Guardiola's future following his shocking denial on Tuesday that he was close to signing a new
contract.
It doesn't make any sense why Pep would want to leave Barcelona.
FC Barcelona resumed domestic action last night following their triumph in the FIFA Club World
Cup and helped themselves to a 9-0 rout over third tier side L'Hospitalet in the Round of 32 of the
Copa Del Rey (Spanish Cup).
Barcelona, who already led 1-0 from the first leg of this tie, played a relatively strong side
against their Catalonian neighbours and had Pedro to thank for getting the ball rolling after just
11 minutes when converting a penalty to open the scoring.

After just pipping the first leg 1-0, Pep Guardiola covered his arse by naming an incredibly
strong side in the return leg against Hospitalet at the Camp Nou last night and it payed off, with
Barcelona crushing the third-tier outfit thanks to goals from Pedro, Andres Iniesta, Xavi and
braces from three players aged just 20: Isaac Cuenca, Thiago Alcantara and substitute Cristian
Tello.

FC Barcelona were crowned the 2011 World Club Champions following a brilliant 4-0 victory
against South American Champions Santos. The battle between the Champiosn of Europe and Champiosn
of South America were a mismatch with Barca controlling the proceedings for the majority of
match.
Barcelona have set up a dream FIFA Club World Cup final against Santos by defeating Al-Sadd 4-0
today. The Barca victory though was dampered by the broken leg to striker David Villa, that will
keep the Barca striker out of action for around six months.
The Villa's injury aside, this was more like a training exercise for Barcelona as Al-Sadd is not
in the same class.

Congratulations to Borussia Dortmund youngster MARIO GOETZE who was awarded by the Italian
newspaper "Tuttosport" this years "GOLDEN BOY AWARD", or the "Best Under - 21 European Footballer".
The news has taken some back here in Spain, & perhaps in Barcelona, as the "hot favourite" was FC
BARCELONA & Spanish Football International midfielder THIAGO ALCANTRA.

Barcelona's youngsters turned in a dominant performance, routing Belarus champions Bate Borisov
4-0 in the final round of Champions League group play.
With first place in Group H already wrapped up and el clasico just days away, Guardiola chose to
rest the majority of his senior team, letting a largely Barca B squad take the field for a taste of
European football.
Awww, hasn't David Beckham always been one of those decent men you'd like to
invite over for a plate of bangers and mash?! He's probably one of the kindest men in football, if
it wasn't for all that Loos drama that shan't be mentioned here.
Anyway, Becks has done it again this time with his latest mission as ambassador of next year's
Olympic games.
FC Barcelona secured the top spot of Group H in Champions League with a high tempo thrilling 3-2
victory against AC Milan. An own goal from Van Bommel, a penalty from Messi and another beautiful
goal from xavi completed Barca's socreline, whereas Ibrahimovic and Boateng scored for AC
Milan.

Barcelona returned to their winning ways, running riot over Mallorca in the Camp Nou and
dispatching their island visitors with a convincing 5-0 victory.
With the mid-week press in Spain centering on the goal-scoring drought of Barcelona and its
brightest star, Leo Messi, the match against Mallorca offered a true litmus test for the
Catalans.
Granada vs FC Barcelona
Today's away match at the Los Carmenes stadium is a perfect opportunity for Lionel Messi to get
his first away goal in La Liga since the start of the season. The Argentinean scored in away games
in the Champions League and the Spanish Supercopa, so a goal versus newly promoted Granada would do
him justice in La Liga.
FC Barcelona vs FC Viktoria Plzen
Busquets and Mascherano are likely to come back into the starting eleven against Viktoria in
today's Champions League match versus Vitkoria. Another European test for Pep's boys, who will see
the upcoming match against the Czech Gambrinus Liga champions as a chance to take a huge step to
the round of 16.
FC Barcelona went back to the top of La Liga with a 3-0 victory at home against Racing
Santander. Lionel Messi scored twice on the night and Xavi scored once to give Barca a comfortable
victory. Earlier on the night Real Madrid went on top with a 4-1 victory against Real Betis. We
needed to respond to that and boy, we indeed did that without much sweat.
Moc Moc! Our amics at Barcelona sent over these exclusive
images of their newly-revamped La Masia academy bringing together all eleven of
their players in Guardiola's XI, who were successfully graduates of the renowned youth academy. And
we're sure many of you Culés are brimming with pride as you look at this
right now!
Bem-vindo a Brazilian Bootcamp! So the Selecao are due to
face Costa Rica in a few hours, which means Matchday is already
here! Of course, since many of the players are match-fit anyway, all they needed to do was a bit
of stretching.

After back-to-back 2-2 draws on the road to Real Sociedad and Valencia, Barcelona rebounded with
a hard-fought 1-0 victory away to bottom of the table Sporting Gijon, in a result that sees the
Catalans ascend to top of La Liga standings.
Bate player, Filippe described this Barca team as made of outer space creatures and definitely
Barcelona produced a display to honour that compliment. FC Barcelona won their first match of this
year's Champions League season with a 5-0 result at the Dynamo stadium. This is our first away
victory in all official matches till now.

Dorothy said it best. There's no place like home. Taking full advantage of a return to the
Camp Nou, Barcelona shrugged off doubts over its midweek draw against Valencia, blitzkrieging
Atletico Madrid 5-0 with a breathtaking display of attacking football.
Every Barca fan will be approaching this game in most probability with a very much confused
head. The confusion comes from the kind of oscillating results we had since the start of the
season. Already there have been two away matches and same number of home matches. FC Barcelona has
amazed a mind blowing 13 goals in the home matches.

Visiting Anoeta stadium is becoming a head-ache for Guardiola. Last season we ended losing well
after we secured the title, this season it was an improvement with a 2-2 draw. By doing this
Guardiola has continued the glorified tradition of dropping point of the second league match, last
time we lost to Hercules.
The SPANISH FOOTBALL NATIONAL TEAM assured their qualification & presence in the upcoming EURO
Championships next year with a 6 - 0 victory over LIECHTENSTEIN in their Group qualifying game. The
current FIFA World Championship, Spain, have 18 points from their six from six Group victories.

A marked day for SPANISH FOOTBALL & for FC Barcelona young sensation THIAGO Alcantara. Tonight the
Spanish National Football Team plays an official Group qualifying match against LIECHTENSTEIN & a
win basically assures the current European Champions a place in next years edition. Spanish
Football player Thiago But its also a big day for THIAGO.
Following yesternight's demolition of Villareal more and more people are vying for the much
coveted 3-4-3 fomation to be used at Barca. Already everyone is going gaga over the fact that we
played almost 9 midfielde players and one defender in the starting line-up. A look into the line-up
which started explains why people are so thrilled - Busquest, Mascherano who played in defense are
natural defensive midfield players.
Barcelona began their bid for a fourth consecutive La Liga title with a spellbinding 5-0 win
against Villarreal at the Nou Camp.
Emerging star Thiago started the scoring in the 25th minute before Cesc Fabregas made it 2-0 on
his league debut. Fellow newcomer Alexis Sanchez also marked his debut with a goal before Lionel
Messi grabbed two for himself.

FC Barcelona won the 46th edition of the annual pre-season friendly Joan Gamper tournament at
Camp Nou with an emphatic 5-0 victory over Napoli. With this victory Barca has won the trophy which
is named after the founder of the club for the 35th time. For Guardiola it's not a bad trophy to
win, as the last two times he won the same, he went on to win the Champion League as a coach.
Of the Spanish U-21 squad that attracted much attention for their European Championship victory
this summer, Barcelona's Thiago Alcântara was perhaps the player singled out for most praise. Born
in Italy to Brazilian World Cup-winner Mazinho, Thiago elected to represent Spain after spending
much of his youth at Barcelona's famed cantera.
Last month during our travels to Malaysia, we tweeted a photo of Gerard Pique on a
billboard as we were driving to the stadium. Many of you asked us what exactly he was
doing and we finally have the answer! Pique was promoting the new Nike Tiempo Legend

The first leg of the Spanish Super Cup of this season ended with a thoroughly entertaining 2-2
draw at the Santiago Bernebeu stadium in Madrid. Realm madrid fans would have been wondering how on
earth they failed to save the match, may be how on earth we scored two goals. I haven't seen a
Barca side in near memory being so overly dominated especially in the midfield.
The longest running transfer saga of the summer has finally come to an end as Barcelona have
signed Cesc Fabregas from Arsenal.
We broke the story earlier in the week on our Arsenal blog, and it looks like all the fine
details in the agreement have been finalized. The deal is worth €40m which includes €29 + €6
variables + €5 from Fabregas in bonuses he will not receive.
