Back from the holiday break with a new episode of From the Byline to the Back Post. This week, Thad
and I discussed call ups for Sporting KC players, the draft, the Missouri Comets, and other news.

A new From the Byline to the Back Post is up on Posterous and iTunes. It's been a while since Thad
and I had been able to get together and record a podcast, but we're back and plenty to talk about.
I apologized, we discussed Sporting KC's playoff qualification, the New York game, the upcoming DC
game, and also the Comets as well.
Earlier this week, Thad and I got together and recorded a new edition of From the Byline to the
Back Post. This week Thad and I discussed player news, including Scott Lorenz's return and new
players salaries. We also discussed the games against Houston and Real Salt Lake as well as this
weekend's women's game between the US and Canada, with a sprinkle of Comets news at the end.

It's been a few weeks since there's been a new episode of From the Byline to the Back Post. This
week, Thad and I bring you two episodes on iTunes and Posterous. In part 1 this week Thad and I
discuss all the games that we've missed since we last recorded and also talk about the women's

The Missouri Comets had a very good week, and it finished off with a personal award for Comets
player, Byron Alvarez, who today was named the MISL player of the week. In the Comets two games
this past week, he totaled 13 points. In the win over the Omaha Vipers Alvarez scored a hattrick,
including the game winning goal in the 11-6 win.
Yesterday Thad and I recorded our latest version of From the Byline to the Back Post. We discussed
Sporting KC preseason, player and trialist news, and the Missouri Comets. There's also an interview
with Teal Bunbury during the podcast.
Also as you'll notice, the podcast now has music in it.
Last night Thad and I got together and recorded a new edition of From the Byline to the Back Post.
We discussed all the Sporting KC Wizards news, the draft, the beginning of preseason, international
appearances along with discussing the Comets as well. Check it out on iTunes or Posterous.
Late last night, Thad at The Back Post got an interview with Peter Vermes up on his blog where he
discusses a lot of things involving the preseason. So far Vermes seems to be pretty high on all of
the team's draft picks, including supplemental draft pick, Mike Jones. Vermes (and people at
training) confirmed that the Julio Cesar Santos is the same one that was guessed by people, the one
that's played in England, Mexico, Spain, and multiple other places around the world.
Getting this out a little late, but Thad and I recorded the latest edition of From the Byline to
the Back Post. We spent time talking about the draft, but first we discussed the tragic passing of
Uche Okafor, roster movement, and preseason. We also have some Comets talk at the end. It's up on
Posterous now, and should hopefully be up on iTunes soon.
So earlier this week I posted some random questions that I had about SKC as we were at a slow point
in the offseason. Well today, Thad over at The Back Post in an interview with Peter Vermes answered
some of those questions at least in part for me.
First in regards to Luke Sassano, Vermes said that the team is very close to signing Sassano,
saying it's "more just a formality of sending something to the league.
