But if you see me walking by,
And the tears are in my eyes,
Look away, baby, look away.
If we meet on the streets someday,
And I don't know what to say,
Look away, baby, look away.
Don't look at me;
I don't want you to see me this way.
A question of ethics -- can you get mad at your 90-year-old Grandmother for getting you sick on
Thanksgiving when you spend 40 minutes in the car with her driving her back to her home?A question
of insanity -- can you start snorting the crystals in Thera-Flu packets in Kenny Powers fashion?A
question of practicality -- can you try to assemble a weekly EPL preview-o-rama when every three
seconds
Vuk Latinovich of the Milwaukee Kickers scored as the 1997 Region II team closed the U.S.
Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program Thanksgiving Interregional with a 2-0 victory over its
Region I counterparts Monday at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.
Latinovich opened the scoring in the 19th minute for Region II, which won its final two matches
after losing to Region IV 2-0 in its opener.
Ndamukong Suh has the physical ability to become the best player in the NFL. Unfortunately, the
second-year player doesn't yet know now to control his emotions. That fact was on full display
during the Thanksgiving Day game between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers.
In the aftermath of the ugly incident that saw Suh push a player's head into the ground and then
stomp on his arm, the Lions defensive lineman has now officially been suspended for two games.
It's always a drag when work gets in the way of your retirement dreams. On Wednesday as millions
of us were travelling to Thanksgiving dinner, the Montreal Impact selected ten players left
unprotected by their fellow MLS clubs and, for ...

Ndamukong Suh has been warned. Ndamukong Suh has had his wrist slapped. It appears that nothing
has registered with the second-year defensive lineman for the Detroit Lions. However, the NFL will
likely get through with their latest penalty: a two-game suspension.
Ndamukong Suh finds himself in hot water for his actions against Evan Dietrich-Smith on
Thanksgiving.
MLS snuck this in on us just before Thanksgiving, so it deserves a look if you missed it. One
question: where can I get one of those snazzy Galaxy blazers? A few things going on this week worth
noting in the afterglow of the MLS Cup. The most notable is that PSG's Qatari oil magnates are
willing to pony up enough cash to double David Beckham's salary.
Hey, it's Thanksgiving week in the States ... meaning the comings-and-goings of the Premier League
take a backseat to turkey and gravy, that is unless you're Frank Lampard! (See, get it, he's
allegedly 'fat'.)Wait, let's get a take two on punchline.Unless you're ... Ronaldo?Ronaldinho?Eh,
let's just move on.
Happy Thanksgiving to you from all of us at Chelsea Offside. As has become tradition around
these parts, we have foregone helpings of thinly sliced turkey in favor of a cooked Guus.
Awkward
We hope that each of you manages to enjoy the holiday festivities with family, friends or
otherwise on this day of many thanks.

The Timbers talk Thanksgiving traditions.
By Tony Edwards - San Jose, CA (Nov 23, 2011) US Soccer Players -- Far be it from us not to stick
to a schedule, so here's the Thanksgiving Day edition of the 5 Questions. Tony looks at former
MVP's new job, the Castrol Ratings for Americans in Europe, and when to show up for a Crew game.
What did you miss, this past season, if you got to your seat at a Crew game.
The squad will be arriving in intervals all day as they acclimate to the Calif weather.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

This is our first Thanksgiving here at Stumptown Footy and, hot damn, it's been a pretty wild
ride! Despite each of our fairly hectic schedules between school, work, other sites we might write
for, and generally needing to socialize every now and then, we've managed to put together some
halfway decent content on the site for you guys.
Take the day to enjoy some great beer and work on convincing all those football fans you're hanging
out with to watch some soccer (American or otherwise) with you real soon!

A wonderful day to remember and thank everyone that cares about you, makes you better, helps you
out.
A happy Thanksgiving to you. A few motion pics here that just seemed appropriate for the day and
sentiment.

Below is a list of just some great groups that many others are already thankful
for.
Happy Thanksgiving to you. Today I'm going to do something I tend to steer away from more often
than not; I'm going to get personal and tell you what I am thankful for. You've been warned.
I started this website out of some extremely trying personal circumstances. At the beginning of the
year, my professional life was derailed due to state budget cuts.

Just a self-serving reminder to get your votes in for our 2011-12 Third of Season Awards:
Readers Poll if you haven't already!

Polls may close Wednesday, or Thursday. Depends when I can get a free moment over the
Thanksgiving Holiday to conjure up some wit and humor.

After every Union match, The Philly Soccer Page publishes its exclusive player ratings. Moments
later, our wonderful readers follow up with expansive debate.
With the expansion draft looming, let's see if the PSP's ratings can predict who the Union will
and should protect.
Two Wisconsin players were named to Region II teams for the U.S. Youth Soccer Boys ODP
Thanksgiving Interregional, which is Nov. 24 to 28 at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista,
Calif.
Vuk Latinovich of the Milwaukee Kickers was chosen to play for the 1997 regional team at
the event, while Jack Shaw of Bavarian SC earned a spot on the 1998 team.
Never forget. With a coaching staff and a number of players far from home, it's
always a nice touch to get everyone together for a bonding holiday meal. When Toronto FC sat down
for their holiday supper, it was the first taste of a North American Thanksgiving for many of The
Reds. The club no doubt wanted a special day for all involved but just like any family gathering, a
few things went awry.
Not a Chip Butty in sightIt's that time of year when loved ones gather to give
thanks for all they have received over the past year. While some Reds' supporters may have not
reaped the harvest they expected in 2011, there are still some morsels worth savouring.
Yes, an autumnal playoff bounty is beyond our reach once again, but hopes of a winter (or Winter)
seeding gives supporters a light ahead for spring.
Chutzpah. It sounds a little like a table sauce for cold meat. ‘Make thanksgiving with Chutzpah'
or, ‘Would you like Chutzpah with that?" Would I?! However, it turns out it's not a bottled
condiment at all, but as Leo Rosten defines in The Joys of Yiddish,"Chutzpah-gall, brazen nerve,
effrontery, incredible guts, presumption plus arrogance such as no other word and no other language
can do.
Also file under: You probably already figured that out
The domestic soccer calendar really never provides a break. My MLS season goes right up through
Thanksgiving. The draft comes up in early January and I'll be in Phoenix watching pre-season
practices a month later. In between there might be time to squeeze in a, uh, "research" trip to
England to analyze and document the competition abroad.
FC Milwaukee defender Brittany Von Rueden was called into a U.S. Under-18
women's national team training camp June 7 to 14 in Chula Vista, Calif.
Von Rueden, who lives in Mequon and has verbally committed to play at Notre Dame in 2012, was
one of 24 players named to the camp roster by coach April Heinrichs.
For whatever reason, this week LA has usurped Rebecca Black's "Friday" as the focal point of
America's hatred. Luke Rodgers thinks their captain is "a prick". Former striker Carlos Ruiz says
they ain't all that. And roommates/renters Chivas USA thinks their fans are as artificial as crash
test dummies.
Just goes to show you how our 3-0 win over Bolton two weeks ago could have been quite
different if Fabrice Muamba converted his early chance, no?
Rich is right, we were awful. But we were awful at moments. And in this league, good
teams makes you pay at such moments. Especially by players that cost £4.
Rex Ryan talks big. Against the Indianapolis Colts, his New York Jets were able to walk the
walk. With a 32-yard field goal as time expired, the Jets beat the Colts by a final score of 17-16.
Nick Folk's field goal answered a 50-yarder by Adam Vinatieri with less than a minute remaining.
The Jets now advance to play the New England Patriots next week.
Unfortunately, it is another middle of the night for me-completely wide awake. The time now is
3:28am and my children will be waking in exactly 3 hours. Let me warn you before reading this entry
that I am not in the best of moods, cranky is an understatement, and men who don't want to know
some of the details that go along with a woman's body/pregnancy, stop reading now.
