Robbie Slater has taken Craig Foster to task over Fozzie's article/analysis of Melbourne Victory's Coaching appointment.
Fozzie's article is intelligent, well thought out and something we need in this country - even if you don't agree with it's sentiment.
It adds to our football intelligence, it makes us think.

Day seven of the SPL advent. A trip to the frozen north to see how Inverness are coping this SPL season.
I find Terry Butcher something of an engima. In the past I've - not altogether seriously but not completely in jest - derided him as a bit of an incompetent.
The sort of chap that the Scottish managerial merry-go-round should really jettison for the greater good of the game.

Last week, in the wake of England's heroic (cough) win against Spain at Wembley in what can only be described as the friendly international to end all friendly internationals, we took a look at a few matches from their past in which the national team had managed to pluck a result from somewhere against a decent team, but failed to capitalise upon it.

We've had lots of foreign coaches in the A-League - usually at inflated prices.
The Dutch duo are currently sitting bottom - the Kiwi is just ahead.
Of the ten current coaches five are foreign and only Vitaslav Lavicka and Scottish Coach Iain Ferguson are in the top half of the table - both probably have spent more money than their counterparts.

Former England international Terry Butcher believes Wayne Rooney should expect to face a lengthy ban after being sent off in England's 2-2 draw with Montenegro.

While England secured their place in Euro 2012 with the draw, the game was marred by Rooney's petulant kick at Miodrag Dzudovic which earned him an automatic one match ban that rules him out of the start of England's tournament next year, while UEFA may decide to extend the ban at a hearing on Thursday to anything up to three games.

And so transfer deadline day came and went.
Celtic got a left back but not the nameless big name who cropped up in countless anonymous rumours.
Rangers did nothing except turn down a big bid from a nameless big club in an anonymous rumour that may or may not have come from someone who really should have scored in a cup final all those years ago.

Adriaaaaaaaan We'll say yes, he is. Wigan's Spanish defender Adrian Lopez had pretty daft hair at the start of yesterday's match again Norwich. But his bandage really set-off the bouffant look. Throw some Terry Butcher-esque blood into the equation and it is quite a striking appearance.

It's taken a long time for Terry Butcher to make himself anything like as popular as a manager as he once was as a player, but this week the growing respect he has been earning for his achievements at Inverness has been further enhanced in the eyes of many by his plain-speaking on the subject of league reconstruction.
