Eduardo's instincts in the final third should ensure he endures a seamless transition to centre
forward in the absence of Robin van Persie.
______________________________________________________________________________
No sooner did Robin van Persie get the hang of this goalscoring lark, he became the latest
player in Arsenal's history under Wenger's tenure to fall foul to the November injury jinx.

It's funny the things that play on your mind when you head to the hills for a week to enjoy some
much needed rest and relaxation. One question kept flickering through my mind. What is the point of
Gordon Smith? His tenure at the SFA has coincided with a dismal downturn in the national team's
fortunes. Boozing players and a manager with only the grudging support of his employers.

He was given a stay of execution by his new chairman but I still fear Phil Brown's days are
numbered.
Adam Pearson returned to the club two years after his departure, replacing Paul Duffen, who saw the
club join the Premier League under his tenure but also accrue alarming levels of debt at the same
time.

Phil Brown, ex manager and current suntan oil salesman?
The Independent says that Adam Pearson's shock arrival from Derby means that current chairman
Andy Duffen and Phil Brown's biggest ally might be on his way out. If that happens then Brown's
tenure at Hull is in danger. The abrasive Hull coach has had a unsettled relationship with some
players and was booed by fans when he took off Stephen Hunt against Portsmouth.

With seven teams now finished the regular season and now playoffs to plan for, the attention
turns to 2010. That can include a myriad of things -- from a new stadium to a brand new coach. FC
Dallas, who ended the season one win away from the playoffs, didn't do enough to save General
Manager Michael Hithcock's job, as the club parted ways with him today.

emotional rollercoaster full of expectations, disappointments and a significant amount of
comedy.
During these intense eight months, any sharp observer would distinguish four very different
phases.

Sure, Tom Soehn isn't technically gone yet. But we all know he's doomed. That's why it's time to

Blaming the goalkeeper is Ferguson's favorite past time. You'd be hard-pressed to find a goalkeeper
in his tenure that hasn't received his famous hairdryer treatment. Save Mossimo Taibi, who seemed

end of a face full of words often in his career.

Early in Bob Bradley's tenure it appeared like the US was going to be a side that utilized width
and the quality runs of its fullbacks to stimulate an attack. But as time has worn on, Bradley's
ideal playing style has been limited by a lack of depth in the player pool, the falling off of
certain key individuals, and the general lack of depth being produced by our national team
programs.

I have a suggestion, let's forget the pound man; he isn't worth talking about anymore....
Let's concentrate on our team, our team that has had a manger at its helm for thirteen years.
Not only is he now the longest serving boss we have ever had, but the most successful, so we have
an awful lot to be happy about – don't we?

Since 1990, many things have conspired to rob Liverpool of the league title, but one thing in
particular has brought with it extraordinary bad luck. Liverpool fans should rejoice though as it
looks like this long-running jinx could be lifted very soon.
I am, of course, referring to Liverpool's sponsorship deal with Carling, which is reportedly set to
end in mid-2010.

I had alluded in a tweet to my assessment of the Rodrigo Kenton denouement, but I'll state it again
here: Rodrigo Kenton was the first casualty of the Costa Rican national team's overinflated
expectations. Nothing has changed all that much with the team in the 14 months he was at the helm,
but the results obtained in the first half of his tenure set up fans and media in Costa Rica for a
crushing disappointment in the second half.
