The 2011 fantasy football season has been the year of the tight end. Never has the tight end
been this valuable in the fantasy football world. To end your 2011 season with a bang (and
hopefully a championship), start one of these fantasy football tight ends.
1. Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots
Gronkowski will put the finishes touches on a legendary season.
The fantasy football season is more than halfway finished. Is your team ready to compete for a
fantasy championship? If you need a little help, considering signing one of these waiver wire
pickups for Week 9 of the 2011 fantasy football season.
QB Tarvaris Jackson, Seattle Seahawks
Yeah, everyone hates Tarvaris Jackson.
There are a number of fantasy football sleepers in Week 8 of the fantasy season. If you are
battling byes or injuries, check out one of these plug-and-play options.
QB Matt Hasselbeck, Tennessee Titans
Matt Hasselbeck has at least one touchdown pass in every game this season.
With as many injuries as there are in the NFL this season, hitting the waiver wire has never
been more important for fantasy football owners. Check out our list below to find out who will
believe to be the sleepers of the Week 3 waiver wire. Warning: These waiver wire sleepers won't
last long.
QB Matt Hasselbeck, Tennessee Titans
When will we start believing?
With injuries and breakout players already impacting the 2011 fantasy football season, the Week
3 waiver wire might be the most important waiver wire session of the season. By picking up the
right player, you can really help your fantasy team. Here are our Week 3 waiver wire sleepers:
QB Matt Haselbeck, Tennessee Titans
Why is Matt Hasselbeck suddenly so valuable?
Chris Johnson is upset. Chris Johnson fantasy owners might be even more upset. The Tennessee
Titans star running back is holding out for a new contract, and with the 2011 NFL season quickly
approaching, it's looking less and less likely that he'll play in Week 1. That, understandably, has
tension at high levels.
When it comes to winning a fantasy football championship, the running back position separates
the men from the boys. If you can roll out three quality running backs on your fantasy football
squad, you have a good chance to win each week. Here are our 2011 fantasy football running back
rankings:

While all eyes are on the Philadelphia Eagles signing Nnamdi Asomugha, they made other moves on
Friday. One such move was adding a backup quarterback in Vince Young. The former franchise player
for the Tennessee Titans was signed to backup Michael Vick.
Personally, I think this is a great move for Vince Young.
While this move wasn't unexpected in the least, the Tennessee Titans made it official on Tuesday
by releasing quarterback Vince Young. Once viewed as the future of the franchise, Vince Young has
fallen on tough times on and off the football field.
To replace Vince Young at quarterback, the Titans have signed veteran Matt Hasselbeck.
Matt Hasselbeck is an unrestricted free agent and it's now being reported that he won't re-sign
with the Seattle Seahawks. Hasselbeck has been the starting quarterback for the Seahawks since the
2002 season. He will now move on to a new team in free agency.
Last season, Hasselbeck struggled.
Kenny Britt is a very talented wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans. Unfortunately, he is also
very immature. That was again evident on Tuesday when Kenny Britt was arrested following a police
chase. The incident happened in New Jersey in the city of Bayonne his hometown. The wide receiver
is sure to face some sort of NFL suspension after this incident.
When Jeff Fisher and the Tennessee Titans divorced, the name that immediately came up as
Fisher's replacement was Mike Munchak. The Hall of Famer Titans legend made the most sense because
he'd been around the team forever and had paid his dues. As it turned out, Titans owner Bud Adams
went with what made sense and hired Mike Munchak as the team's next head coach.
The Philadelphia Eagles are starting to leak their plans regarding the future of their
quarterback position. After a great season, Michael Vick has apparently won the starting QB job
going forward. Kevin Kolb, who entered this season as the team's starting quarterback, will likely
be moved via a trade.
Jeff Fisher is out as the head coach of the Tennessee Titans. This is a stunning move since it
appeared as if Fisher was going to return for his 17th season as the franchise's coach. Although he
never won a Super Bowl as head coach of the Titans, he did lead the team to the 1999 Super Bowl and
almost won it.
The 2011 NFL Draft won't take place until April. However, that doesn't stop football fans from
beginning the process of dreaming about which players their favorite team will select. That's
especially true for the football fans whose favorite team is watching the NFL playoffs on TV.
