EPL Talk 22 November @ 08:00 AM EST
Okay, admit it. Even though you thoroughly enjoy watching the Premier League, especially your
favorite team each week, there are often times when you're not too bothered about missing a match
on television featuring teams that either don't excite you or that you're not interested in.
But which team in particular do you dread watching more than any other in the Premier
League?

When Liverpool paid Portsmouth £18m for Glen Johnson more than a few eyebrows were raised and
plenty of those raised were from us Reds fans. The more Johnson plays for Liverpool though the more
you can see that he is becoming worth every penny that we paid for him as he adds a whole new
dimension to the Reds side.

It's finally happened. Fat Ronaldo has admitted that he's a chubby tub of goo. (A very talented
chubby tub of goo, but still a chubby tub of goo, nonetheless.)
In an interview with Globo television, The Fat One, who has 11 goals for Corinthians this
season, said that he wouldn't call himself up to the Brazilian national team right now, that he
will put forth perhaps the greatest effort of his career to make the team, and that he thinks the
first half of 2010 will be vital blah blah blah.

I'm sure you've all heard by now that today is the 40th anniversary of the debut of Sesame
Street. Last Friday, Fresh Air did a great tribute show, replaying older interviews with Jeff Moss,
Frank Oz and Christopher Cerf, all of whom were essential in creating the show. Growing up, my
favorites were Oscar The Grouch and Cookie Monster, so it was great to hear Moss talk about how he
created those characters.

Last month I discovered that MeTV, a local retro television channel, was showing Barney Miller
reruns, and I've just had a blast seeing these shows I haven't seen in years. Although it was very
successful during its eight-season run from 1975-82, I don't think it got the proper respect.
That's probably due to the fact that there were so many other groundbreaking sitcoms at the time
(the same goes for the original Bob Newhart Show, which MeTV also broadcasts).

Well it must be said my mindset on this match was not as optimistic as my match preview might
have suggested. I spent all of yesterday talking it down to myself, saying it was only the Carling
Cup, and besides if we got knocked out that would only let us focus more on the league and the FA
Cup. But honestly I don't think I've been more pleased with Bolton in a really long time, perhaps
even since our stunning comeback at Stamford Bridge in April, even though it was just a Carling Cup
tie.
