Arsene Wenger has been following the rise of Eden Hazard ever since he was a teenager at the Lille
Academy in 2005, and it has always been assumed that Wenger would bring him to Arsenal as soon as
he could. But now Hazard is 21 years-old and one of the most sought-after players in Europe, [...]
It's the 31st January and at 2300 UK Time tonight, the transfer window closes for yet another
season and I for one will be glued to Jim White on SkySports News waiting for news on any
developments at Chelsea.
Remember this time last year? David Luiz and Fernando Torres were both signed in deals of around
£75m but I can't see Chelsea spending that amount of money again can you?

Forget the roasting and the racism, the diving and the drinking, sometimes footballers can
actually be rather nice. And there seems to be no nicer chap in the world of football right now
than Barcelona's Eric Abidal.
The 32-year-old French defender, who recovered from liver cancer himself, recentlyvisited a
local hospital in Barcelona and was particularly moved by one patient, 15-year-old Juan Garcia.
Henrique: still off to QPR?
São Paulo director, João Paulo de Jesus Lopes, says that the door has not been shut on forward
Henrique's transfer to QPR. The Morumbi club say that contrary to earlier reports, Henrique has not
been denied a UK work visa. "The truth is the visa wasn't turned down.

sides are reportedly keen.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle are all understood to have
been watching the Danish teenager.
Manchester United and Liverpool have made enquiries about Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha, but
have been told the teenager is not for sale.
Eagles boss Dougie Freedman has put together an exciting young squad, with 19-year-old forward Zaha
the cream of the crop.
Palace moved to offset a potential January exit by tying Zaha to a long-term contract, but that has
not stopped the speculation.

Danish wonderkid Lucas Andersen could be on his way out of Aalborg in the winter transfer window,
with Liverpool keen on a move for the teenager.
The highly rated youngster made his official first team debut for Aalborg in March 2011 at the
tender age of 16, and has since developed into an important member of Aab's squad.
Liverpool wants to bolster their youth ranks with a deal for Sporting Lisbon teenager Joao
Teixeira.
Teixeira, who turns 19 this month, caught the eye when scoring for the Portuguese side against
Liverpool in the NextGen Series.
Midfielder Teixeira comes from the famed Sporting academy that produced Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani.
It has been confirmed today that Manchester United youngster, Ryan Tunnicliffe, will remain at
Peterborough on loan for the rest of the season. He has made 24 appearances for the club since
joining them in the summer.
It has taken several weeks for an extension to be agreed but Barry Fry, the director of football
at Peterborough, spoke highly of the teenager when the deal was being talked about.

Like the sulky goth teenager refusing to enter the festive spirit at a family Christmas party,
the wonderful St. Pauli will always be on the fringes of football's more conservative mainstream.
And once again, in their 2011 Christmas video, the club has done something different, this time by
deciding to kill Santa.
Wycombe Wanderers have announced Liverpool have signed highly-rated teenager Jordan Ibe.
As revealed by skysports.com earlier this month, Liverpool has won the race for the 16-year-old,
fending off interest from a number of their Premier League rivals.
Ibe became Wycombe's youngest-ever goalscorer when he netted against Sheffield Wednesday in October
aged 15 years and 325 days on his first start for the club.
This isn't the big name signing that Seattle Sounders fans have been hoping for, but it sure
looks like they are close to signing Trinidad & Tobago teenager Cordell Cato, a forward/midfielder
who has played for his country's U-20 team. The Trinidad Express says the deal is basically done,
but Sounders GM Adrian Hanauer was more cautious when asked for comment.

Ibe.
The 16-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in England and has attracted
the interest of a host of Premier League clubs.
Ibe shot to fame with a superb goal against Sheffield Wednesday at the end of October in his first

So the January transfer madness is almost upon us and tonight we are told by a Spanish paper
that Arsenal have contacted AC Milan and offered 30M Euros for the incredibly decent Alexandre Pato
if this happened, it would easily be the greatest transfer in the Wenger era.
The duck, as Pato is affectionately known as in Brazil, is one hell of a talented striker and
just the kind of speedy, clinical type we have needed at the club since Henry left.
1. So we're barely in December and we've already won as many games away as we had done all of
last season. Whilst the scoreline meant we had a nervy ending to the game, it was a convincing
performance that was worthy of victory. Whilst I don't think dominating a team in the top half away
from home is anything to be sniffed at, it is frustrating to see us struggle to put games to
bed.
Liverpool are keen on rookie Romanian goalkeeper Valentin Cojocaru according to talkSPORT.
The 16-year-old stopper is widely regarded as one of the brightest young talents to come out of
eastern Europe, and is currently on the books at Steaua Bucharest.

Skysports.com understands a host of Premier League clubs are battling it out for teenage sensation
Josiah Chukwudi.
The 15-year-old central midfielder was spotted playing Sunday League football.
QPR recently invited the teenager on trial and he is believed to have impressed at Loftus Road.
News of Chukwudi's talent has alerted most of the Premier League big guns with Manchester City,
Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and Everton all thought to be weighing up moves for the
youngster.
If you'd have told me when I was a teenager following the Arsenal round the country and the
occassional European jaunt that in my later years I would have seen Chinese Taipei, Western Samoa,
Brunei and Timor Leste play football against each other I would have scratched my head and picked
up an atlas.

This is the day a fresh-faced (and he remains fresh-faced, and lovely, and the kind of guy my
Mammy would love to see me bring home for dinner) Theo Walcott signed for Arsenal from Southampton
for a then British record fee for a teenager. SIX YEARS ago, can you believe it's six years
ago?
Kieran Richardson joined Manchester United as a teenager and showed great promise down the left
wing. He made his England début when he was 20-years-old and scored twice, seeming to be another
youth product ready to make his mark at United.
However, poor form and unimpressive attitude made him unpopular amongst United fans, with him
receiving jeers from some when he scored against Watford in the FA Cup semi-final in 2007 and even
when he lifted the Premier League trophy later that year.
