América nada más no anota
No hay una mejor analogÃa para describir lo inoperante del ataque del América, cierto es que
es apenas jornada 3 y hay técnico nuevo, con sistema nuevo, y piezas nuevas , pero al mismo
tiempo, la semana entrante ya estaremos en un 25% del torneo y hemos enfrentado rivales sin mucha
calidad (aún si el futbol mexicano es muy parejo) y dejado escapar puntos que luego nos
perseguirán.

While Santos Laguna is busy trying to climb out of a one-goal deficit in the Mexican Apertura
final, the club has an eye on sustaining its success during the Clausura campaign as well. A piece
of that puzzle involves Herculez Gomez.

With Estudiantes Tecos about to wrap up there season and facing a budget-balancing puzzle, the
US's prodigal poacher south of the border is headed north out of town.
TSG has confirmed that the 2010 World Cup vet will join Club Santos Laguna (where former US
coach Bob Bradley was said to be in talks about their head role before taking the Egypt job) after
the conclusion of Mexican Apertura playoff final series Sunday.

Dicen que la vida es como la rueda de la fortuna, un momento estas arriba y sin darte cuenta ya
estas abajo de nueva cuenta.
Una de las personas en el medio futbolÃstico que mejor puede ejemplificar lo dicho aquà arriba
es sin duda el Ruso Zamogilny, jugador argentino que recorrió muchos de los campos llaneros de
mexico antes de llegar a los equipos profesionales y eventualmente a la primera división.
Some quick bits of news on four Kansas City players from this past season. First, with regards to
the re-entry draft (more on the draft as a whole later). Kansas City has two players that have been
played into the draft, Luke Sassano and Shavar Thomas. Neither one is incredibly surprising. Thomas
was 100% expected after he wasn't waived, the Jamaican international made only 3 substitute
appearances in MLS play this past season.

FBM was lucky enough to get a VIP invite to the Nike Soccer/ Bumpy Pitch "Celebration of Los
Angeles" party during MLS Cup 2011 weekend. Us, along with the leadership of The American Outlaws
took off to the historic Ricardo Montalbon Theater in Hollywood for drinks, diversions, and, of
course, some sweet American soccer swag.
Well it sounds like you can rule another team out of the running for Omar Bravo's services during
the MLS offseason. Previously Atlas had ruled it out due to lack of funds. Although Bravo moving
there was unlikely due to his history with their main rival Chivas. But today from ESPN Deportes
comes word that Estudiantes Tecos is now out of the running as well.
The early offseason continues to be fairly busy for Sporting KC fans to follow, and continues today
with news out of Mexico on one of the Wizards designated players, Omar Bravo. Bravo was apparently
down in Mexico today visiting his old club, Chivas de Guadalajara. Bravo is apparently interested
in training or playing with a team while MLS is in it's offseason.

It happens every time the U.S. national team releases a roster for a friendly or meaningful
game. Fans and pundits clamor that a certain player or certain players who didn't make the cut
deserved the call-up.
Thursday's roster release for the November friendlies against France and Slovenia was
accompanied with a similar reaction.
Herculez Gomez looks to return to his scoring ways for Tecos while DaMarcus Beasley looks to build
on another strong performance as Puebla hosts America.

Por mucho de que hablemos de clásicos, la historia hace la diferencia y tal es el caso del
América vs Chivas que es el clásico nacional, cada Liga tiene sus clásicos regionales como en
México el Tigres vs Monterrey, el Atlas vs Chivas o el Pumas vs América pero hay uno que es a
nivel nacional el mas importante como en España el Barcelona vs Real Madrid, en Inglaterra el
Chelsea vs Manchester United, en Argentina el Boca-River, asi en México tenemos el América vs
Chivas, un equipo millonario que siempre se destaca por traer las mejores estrellas extranjeras
en México y por otro lado Chivas un club que siempre y solamente tiene jugadores Mexicanos.

It's been over a year since Herculez Gomez last represented the U.S. men's national team, but
that drought could soon end after Gomez's latest goal-scoring performance.
For the fourth straight game that he's played in, Gomez scored a goal.
So let me get this straight: Tecos are down 5-1 past the hour, set to lose for the third time in
four as they slowly drop away from the playoff zone, and THEN they call on Herculez Gomez. Oh, did
I not mention that he deftly capped the scoring against Chivas with his team-high sixth goal in 575
minutes of play this season (good for 13th among the team's field players)?
I meant to post this like four time since Herculez Gomez scored the consolation capper for Tecos on
Saturday night and kept forgetting. Sorry, been quite out of it the last couple days trying to
fight off getting sick. While you enjoy this, I'm gonna head back toward my pillow to continue the
battle in earnest.
It's that time of year again. Most of the domestic league action is on hiatus so the world can
enjoy international football. Here, we're not particularly adverse to international football,
although we are know much more for our fondness of domestic league action.
There will be some club action in the Western Hemisphere and you can find much of that on GolTV
and, in the case of Mexican league play, on the Spanish-language channels in the United States.

Michael Bradley has wasted little time settling in with Italian club Chievo.
The U.S. men's national team midfielder earned his second straight start in a week, going a full
90 minutes and having a hand in both goals in Chievo's 2-1 win vs.

Curiosa situación la que se vio durante el partido de Puebla vs Monterrey, durante algunos
momentos en las tribunas vimos una imagen rarÃsima, una señora en primera fila en las tribunas
tejiendo, hasta cierto punto lo entenderÃa en un San Luis vs Tecos pero el juego de puebla fue un
partidazo.

The Seattle Sounders FC have landed a new striker to help out with their big schedule. The club
has signed striker Sammy Ochoa via the allocation system today.
Ochoa was recently with Tecos in Mexico and signed with the league earlier this week. The former
U-20 national team member played under Sigi Schmid and was even with the club during the summer
training.
I heard a peep about this yesterday but never got around to it. It turns out former U-20
national team forward Sammy Ochoa has signed a deal with Major League Soccer. He's fate will be up
to the MLS Allocation order.
The 24-year old recently played with Estudiantes Tecos in Mexico is currently out of
contract.

Sammy Ochoa, the former U.S. Under-20 forward, is set to return from Mexico to the U.S. - and
could join Chivas USA, 100 Percent Soccer has learned.
Chivas USA remain atop the MLS allocation order and the 24-year-old who is from the Los Angeles
area and living in Corona would seem the type of young Latino player that should form the backbone
of the club.

El Chelis fuera de Estudiantes Tecos
Hace pocos minutos se hizo oficial la destitución de Jose Luis Sánchez Sola ( el Chelis pa los
cuates) del mando de Estudiantes Tecos, aunque la derrota del equipo zapopano ante tigres este
domingo se dio en un partido cerrado al parecer los dirigentes no estaban conformes con la gestión
de Sánchez Sola.
DaMarcus Beasley earned a penalty in a losing effort for Pubela, while Herculez Gomez and Tecos
could not make it two in a row again Tigres.
Herculez Gomez and Tecos will face Tigres while US national team players Damarcus Beasley, Jose
Torres and Edgar Castillo will also be in action in a busy weekend in Mexico.

Partido muy atractivo en el TSM, dos equipos que buscan el arco contrario como filosofÃa,

Tecos reciben la visita de los diablos rojos del Toluca en lo que parece sera un partido muy
entretenido y de goles.

Tanto el Chelis como Hugo Eugui son dos tecnicos que buscaran el arco contrario mientras su
equipo despliega buen futbol, Toluca fiel a su costumbre estos ultimos años tiene la premisa de

mexicano obtener el titulo siempre es una exigencia para ellos.
