Today US Soccer announced this year's inductees to the US Soccer Hall of Fame. Sporting KC coach, technical director, and former player, Peter Vermes was one of two people inducted in the class of 2013, along with Joe-Max Moore (who coincidentally was once potentially coming to Kansas City).

Vermes started his career as a forward and played in Hungary, Holland, and Saping before moving to back to the US to join Major League Soccer in 1996.
