Michael Parkhurst hopes to do enough in the January U.S. Men's National Team camp to earn more
looks with the full national team. (Photo by Art Donahue/artdonahue.com)
Former New England Revolution central defender Michael Parkhurst has excelled in both MLS and in
Europe, but hasn't been a regular contributor to the U.

The Philly Soccer Page is fortunate to be able to share its readers the work of five
staff photographers: Daniel Gajdamowicz, Earl Gardner, Michael Long, Paul Rudderow and Nicolae
Stoian. Along with photographs by contributing photographers Nate Monahan and Eryin Wandel, we
present a look back at the Union's 2011 home season along with the road games we were able to
cover, special events and more.

Photo- and video-bombing the bejesus each other is a tradition that is taken very seriously down
Chelsea way (see here and here for details) and with the cameras
knocking around at Cobham for the club's official team photo shoot, serial offenders David Luiz,
Paulo Ferreira and Branoslav Ivanovic just couldn't help themselves.
After the jump, you'll find some movie pictures from a couple of youth matches over the past
week or so. Thanks, as always, to EskWeston for the contributions. This guy does fantastic work so
be sure to subscribe to his YouTube page and follow him on Twitter.

This is an interesting REAL MADRID TEAM PHOTO taken before the start of their CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
match against DYNAMO ZAGREB. Apart from highlighting the starting 11 it shows the team in their RED
UNIFORM , something very unusual & maybe of value for all the Real Madrid fans around the globe
whom collect images of their favourite team.

During the shoot for Real Madrid's 2011/12 team photo, bearded midfield pirate Esteban Granero
couldn't resist having a little fondle of Kaka's angelic mush hoping that a little bit of that
Jesus magic would rub off on him...
How adorable/incredibly annoying.
The Mirror is reporting that Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen underwent surgery in Stockholm on
his left Achilles Momday and as a result could be out for two months.
Huge blow to the Gunners especially with the news yesterday that Jack Wilshere could be out for
up to three months also.
Bem-vindo a Selecao Bootcamp! It was Birthdays galore over the weekend as both
Julio Cesar and Alexandre Pato celebrated their big days with
their Brazilian teammates. Cesar was pelted with water and made to roll his face
over the grass while Pato got a strawberry cake courtesy of the squad's chef!
So there is general consensus among the Galaxy fans I talked to that Robbie Keane is a good signing
for the squad. One, however, admitted to being a disgruntled West Ham fan and said that the Galaxy
would regret the move. There's a bit of extra pressure on Robbie tonight, perhaps, because the
player moved in order for him to be signed, Juan Pablo Angel, scored tonight for Chivas USA.

SPANISH FOOTBALL SPORTS has found this photo of the FC BARCELONA starting 11 team that played the
2º leg of the Spanish Super Cup Final which defeated Real Madrid 3 - 2 & also taking the tie on a
5-4 aggregate. A photo which I hope will please the many Barça fans around the World as it is
basically the starting 11 "gala" side, with the exception of Puyol, Alexis Sanchez & Cesc
Fabregas.
Sunday's match, the last home game of the regular season, was Fan Appreciation
Night.
Tasha Kai once again proved why she is essential to this team, scoring the first
goal...
...with this shot over Sky Blue's keeper, Jenni Branam.

Wolves dropped a bit of a clanger yesterday by attempting to gloss over the fact that David
Edwards, Christophe Berra and Adlene Guediora had all missed the club's pre-season photocall
through illness and injury by merely grafting their heads onto the 2011/12 team photo over the mugs
of three reserve teamers.
Arsenal fans channel Jack Nicholson to yet another Cesc Fabregas story
The neverending Fabregas saga (TM) which so far has enveloped everyone in a stench so
overpowering that Pepe Le Pew just dove off a bridge seems to have yet more twists.
Amongst them is now the distinct possibility that Cesc Fabregas might feature in Arsenal's last
pre-season game against Benfica this weekend.
Arsenal's team photo for the 2011-12 season is being taken this Thursday and you, and your
junior Gunner, can be part of it.
Thanks to the Gunners' official membership schemes 'The Arsenal' and Junior Gunners, Arseblog is
giving readers one adult plus a child the chance to sit in the Gunners' first team photocall at the
Emirates this Thursday 4th August.
I just got back from AZ training/team photo day.Best line of the afternoon, which drew a squad-wide
laugh and I believe came from Etiënne Reijnen (my head was somewhat turned, but I think it was him
that said it): "Smile, Jozy!! Don't be so serious all the time!!"Get it? He just got there and they
don't really know him?

CASL Chelsea FC Academy took a week-long trip to Madrid last week... unsuprisingly, it was a trip
that the players will remember for the rest of their lives.
The players - both the U-15/16 and U-17/18 teams - got to train at the famed Ciudad de Futbol,
training grounds for the Spanish national team programs.

Anybody who saw the 1983 football biopic "Being is Believing" will almost certainly have left
the cinema with a somewhat romanticised view of the period that Jean-Paul Sartre spent as manager
of Paris based side Stade Saint-Germain in the early 1960s.
Finally managed to find a team photo of Spanish Football Club VALENCIA CF. There are many Valencia
fans throughout the global & habitual readers of Spanish Football Sports Blog that may enjoy the
image & thus satisfy a few emails I have been getting requesting such image. Below is the Valencia
starting 11 team photo in yesterdays Champions League match against Schalke 04.
