FC Boro 22 November @ 02:08 PM EST
After the disappointment of going out of the FA Cup against Port Vale in midweek, StevenageÂ
bounced back with a good, solid win over Forest Green Rovers. Westley's side began the game 5
points adrift of leaders Oxford United at the top of the Blue Square Premier table and with them
beating Barrow at the Kassam Stadium, the 3 points were even more important as Boro try to keep at
pace with Oxford in the run up to Christmas.

As if you didn't know that already. But Toronto FC fans, with all the recrimination, regret, sorrow
and the like, should take heart that Real Salt Lake are in the final. Toronto FC finished the
season on 39 points, RSL 40. On the ever important last two fixtures of the season, TFC went out
winning at home, then losing away.

That's how close it was we had two shots on target, they had one. So it goes we did an experiment
with an experimental line up, and it didn't deliver.  If it had, Wenger would have been the
greatest genius of all time, the wonder kid, the inspiration of a generation of managers [...]

Gunners Today 21 November @ 06:12 PM EST
The art of a natural striker is immensely undervalued these days isn't it? "Yeah he is okay, but
he does nothing else apart from score". How would we have love to have that player at the Stadium
of Light. We did. He went off just after the 71st minute. Shortly after we went 1-0 down.
Frazier Campbell didn't know what he did with Bent's header from Reid's corner.

Where is the marking?
Disappointing would be the best word to summed up tonight's game. The team lacked cohesion,
tenacity and showed no real desire to win the game. One could argue that after almost 2 weeks away
from each other and barely had the oppourtunity to train as a team lead to the dispirited
display.

In the furious neverending November rain, Fulham made one mistake and lost the game. James
McFadden, a quality player in an average Birmingham side, clipped a ball over the Fulham back four
to Lee Bowyer, Bowyer flipped the ball over Mark Schwarzer, and the ball nestled in the net.Â
1-0.  Bowyer was clean through because only three of the Fulham back four pushed up at the same
time, Brede Hangeland delaying for a split second that ruined everything.

Anfield Talk 20 November @ 04:50 PM EST
The first Premier League match of the weekend also happens to be one of the biggest, as Liverpool
look to revive their season when they take on top four chasing Manchester City.
The Reds' 2-2 draw with Birmingham City last time out stretched their horror run to one win in nine
games. With five league losses already, it would appear that their title race is all but run.

It has been all about Thierry Henry and his "Hand of God" this past 24 hours. Articles,
comments, they are everywhere, lambasting the striker for his role in the controversial equaliser.
I am a Gooner, and Henry scored the goal which mesmerized me into pledging my allegiance to
Arsenal.

It is not just that Real Salt Lake's captain, Kyle Beckerman, has been working on his
dreadlocks longer than the LA Galaxy's David Beckham has been coifed with an under-cut resembling a
mullet with a racing-strip, that leads me to predict RSL as the 2009 MLS Cup winner.
Rather, it is that RSL is peaking at the right time and relishes the underdog role.

Benni Mc Carthy Takes a Shot Against Jamaica
Maybe the "weakened" Jamaica was a better opponent for South Africa, because Bafana Bafana
managed to play forward although they were held to a goalless draw at Vodacom Stadium on
Tuesday.
That means the 2010 World Cup hosts have now scored just six goals in their last 12
internationals.

Yesterday, Toronto FC midfielder Dwayne De Rosario was named into this year's MLS Starting XI. It
is the dynamic Scarborough native's fourth time on the year end honours and the third club he has
done it with. Most notably, his appearance is the first for any TFC player.
While De Rosario is enough of a fan favourite, mostly from being local, it is fair to say that his
star has yet to rise to high enough levels in Toronto.

by CARL ELDRIDGEÂ Straight into it this morning my fellow Arsenalistas and news that Robin van
Persie wants a Serbian housewife to massage placenta fluid into his injured ankle in bid to return
to action for Arsenal within a month, reports the Daily Mail.
The paper says RVP flies to Belgrade today with Arsene Wenger's approval to seek out the
services of a mysterious woman who works from home and claims her unorthodox remedy can drastically
speed up recovery times.

Usually an international break would be met with trepidation, but considering the horrible run and
sub-par performances lately, JODY DANIELS is relieved that we can all have a break from what has
truly been a rollercoaster season so far.
Another international friendly break – and I'm relieved.

Three big saves by Rimando in the penalty shootout keeps the Fire out. Ned Grabavoy nails the
winning penalty kick after Fabian Espindola misses his chance. The Fire fell victim to a peculiar
directional bias that made them test Rimando low on his left as Thorrington, Pause, and Prideaux
became predictable.

This kid continues to show real promise and I am sure I am not alone in wishing that Rafa would
bring him back to Anfield from his loan spell at AEK Athens. A few minutes after he scored this
goal he was taken off with an injury, hopefully nothing serious. This goal put a rapidly improving
Hungarian Under 21 side the lead against their Italian counterparts in this European Under
Championship qualifier and reported Liverpool target Vladimir Koman got the second (Video also

Barcelona starlet Gai Assulin is a target for Arsenal.
The Sun says the Gunners are keeping tabs on Barcelona's speedy Israeli winger.
The 18-year-old, who made his Israel debut at 16, snubbed a move to Chelsea in 2007, but has
stalled over signing the new deal on offer to him at the Nou Camp.

by AKSHAY Before the start of the season, Arsene Wenger had said in an interview that youngster
Aaron Ramsey was very close to breaking through into the first team and that he had a set him a
target of 15-20 games this season. Before the match against Wolves, barring his two starts in the
league cup he had made only cameo appearances as a substitute in the league and Champions League,
mostly replacing Fabragas and he had also scored his first Emirates and league goal for Arsenal
vs.

As football remembered the fallen over the weekend, one of the most poignant acts of remembrance
came at Tynecastle.13 Hearts players volunteered to fight in 1914. The McCrae's Battalion website

flocked to join Lord Kitchener's volunteer army, professional football became the target of a

Pantomime season is almost upon us, but the contradictory stories over the future of Robinho
continue apace.
There have been a series of reports in today's press with regard to his future, and with many
seemingly different angles taken.
AS reported Joan Laporta as indicating the club would back the management at Barcelona should
Robinho be a target for them:
"We are not going to close any door or end any plan because, although the squad is
competitive, as was shown against Mallorca, if the coaches want to strengthen in the winter market
and they recommend a player to us, I am sure we can make a move.
