Tamir Cohen will always have my heart. It is mostly because of this game, and because I'm sentimental, but the fact of the matter is, while he was good in patches, Cohen was never quite good enough. This move obviously is not surprising as we released Tamir at the end of last season, and a move back to Israel seems appropriate for him.

While we haven't brought anyone in yet, there have been quite a few exits from Bolton already, though none as loud as Elmander's. It was rumoured and then announced before the last match of the season that not only would Elmander not be renewing his contract, but he has already agreed a deal with Turkish club Galatasray.

This weekend was a great two days in the world of football. There were some absolute wonderful things that took place and I felt it time to reflect on the ones I saw. Great games and outstanding performances in England and in Spain.
