After a solid two seasons at the University of Virginia, American winger Cobi Span is excited to
begin his professional career with Djurgarden's in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
Earlier this year, Gale Agbossoumonde joined Swedish Allsvenskan club Djurgarden on a six month
loan but over the weekend the club announced it would keep the central defender past this month.

Things already have a familiar look about them after just four matches in Denmark's Superligaen
whilst the summer championships of Norway, Sweden and Finland are starting to get interesting as
they reach the final third of the season.
Markus Henriksen's brace secured a 3-2 win for Rosenborg at the weekend.
Malmö FF, Rosenborg Trondheim and FC København top the table in Sweden, Norway and Denmark
respectively with the first two of those championships approaching the business end of the season
whilst the Danish League is now firmly in its stride nine games into the new season.

successful completion of a U.K. work permit.

said that Charlie Davies isn't Ligue 1 ready yet, despite having played with the reserves for some

The coach also said that he is making slow progress, and that there is a possibility that he
might go out on loan in January so he can get playing time.
This summer Northeastern University's Santiago Bedoya will travel to Sweden to go on trial with
Orebro in the Swedish Allsvenskan, the same club where older brother Alejandro currently plays.
After a strong first season at rebro where he claimed a starting spot in midseason, Alejandro
Bedoya looks to be setting himself up to follow the lead of close friend Charlie Davies by
launching a long and promising career from the Swedish Allsvenskan.
The Danish league has started weeks ahead most of the other European leagues and several
Americans are already making an impact. Jeremiah White and Benny Feilhaber all play in the league
and were in action on Monday night. The Swedish Allsvenskan started in April and is currently in
the middle of the season as American Alejandro Bedoya has found recent success playing for
Orebro.
Monday saw two Americans playing abroad in Europe having success. Benny Feilhaber continues to
get back to his form that saw him score the game-winning goal in the 2007 Gold Cup while Alejandro

League - 2 goals - 90 minutes - Standard won easily and are now tied atop the league table
as Onyewu scored two goals.

Nordsjælland, and unfortuantely Heath Pearce has been sent to the 2nd team of Bundesliga 2 side

Life in the Swedish Allsvenskan began for 2009 as Kalmar FF
embarked on the focal objective of defending their title crown, despite an initial drawback as they
stranded a one-goal advantage to draw with Gefle IF.
After accomplishing their first championship in 2008, Kalmer travelled northwards to the city of
Gävle in pursuit of their title protection and Rasmus Elm, whose brother Victor and last season's
top goalscorer Patrik Ingelsten both departed for SC Heerenveen over the winter
