Jan Molby is a player that I have a lot of time for. The Danish footballer was a maestro in
midfield. While he's best remembered as being a pivotal player for Liverpool during his time there
between 1984 and 1996, he has a special place in my heart for being a pioneer with the club I
support, Swansea City, where he introduced a beautiful style of play as player manager which laid
the groundwork for Roberto Martinez's arrival, much later, in 2007.

Last week, I posted a tweet that if I was reborn, I would become a Tottenham Hotspur supporter
simply because of The Spurs Show podcast. And I meant it. Most of the readers here know me
as a Swansea City supporter, but there's something completely endearing, refreshing, honest and
depressing about being a regular listener to The Spurs Show that makes me feel closer to
the pain one must feel supporting THFC.

It's the gash that keeps on gushing, so it seems. Last Wednesday -- despite all the this one
matters only for them and not us placebos given -- managed to hurt, well...like a motherfucker,
truthfully. It's Mexico, after all. So deep had the wounds felt, they managed to suffocate an
altogether joyous announcement, and perhaps too what would have been a modest sedative.

After the heartbreak of relegation; after a summer of uncertainty; after all the pessimism,
anger and frustration; after all of this, the run up to the Sheffield United game brought one thing
back. It brought back anticipation. It brought back that tingle of excitement. It brought back that
sensation of the hairs standing up on the back of your neck.

2009-2010 Premier League season, it's all about the material and the identity of your club.
