So says Rafa Márquez. Gee, you think? It doesn't require a rocket scientist like me to know that.
Why couldn't the FMF figure it out?

Perhaps it was the joys of Christie Park, perhaps he didn't fancy Port Vale at home, or perhaps
he genuinely did have concerns over the future of Notts County. Whatever his reasons, Sol
Campbell's departure from the League's oldest club has thrown the Magpies and their 'project' back
into the limelight, with sports journalists across the county digging into the reasons for his
departure.

celebridades.

Sol Campbell to Notts County? Seriously? We all know the
club is in the money after their takeover by a mysterious middle eastern consortium and following
the appointment of Sven Goran Eriksson, but this "reported" move makes me wonder what's going in
League Two.

Former England, Manchester City and Mexico manager Sven Goran-Eriksson did not become director
of football at Notts County "for the money."Â Nor, apparently, did he go for the prestige or mild
degree of difficulty. Eriksson inherits a club that finished 19th in League Two last season,
essentially the worst club in England that can be called professional.

Sven-Goran Eriksson at Notts County? Really?
Yes, in just three years, Sven has gone from England manager to Director of Football at a League
Two club, via Manchester City and a disastrous spell in charge of Mexico albeit, Notts County are a
club with a proud history as the world's oldest professional football club, fallen on hard
times.

You are maybe thinking just how does Sven do it?
He departs his previous three jobs with a hefty pay off but he just keeps on bouncing back, landing
on his feet in the next highly paid gig.
But when Sven, with his bookish, middle-aged looks and seeming lack of personality has enough of
the silver-tongued charmer about him to seduce the likes of Ulrika and Nancy between the sheets, is
it any wonder that a succession of Chairman and Chief Executives fall over themselves to appoint
him?

You've got to admire the gigantic shameless balls of Sven-Göran Eriksson. I don't know of any
other man alive that could take a job at League Two team Notts County and declare "I always said I
wanted to come back to the Premier League." Gigantic shameless balls. "When my agent asked me if I

A Spanish newspaper has reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Barca for Samuel Eto'o plus cash
(€10m or so) is as good as his name. Italian betting syndicates have also closed wagers on any
sort of move sending the big-beaked Swede Spain-side, which would indicate somebody knows
something. What the hell's going on here?

When Mark Hughes agreed to replace Sven Goran Eriksson last summer, no doubt he knew things
would be interesting at Manchester City, it very rarely isn't in the sky blue half of Manchester,
but I doubt he'd have expected anything like the events that ultimately played out. What with the
takeover and the crazy final day of the summer transfer window, with City making 10 bids of over
£15 million for players, it was probably the maddest 24 hours the City faithful could remember in
years.

News reports in Mexico and Honduras are saying that the FMF has fired Sven-Göran Eriksson after
Mexico's 3-1 defeat away to Honduras. The natural successor would be Javier Aguirre, who, according
to sports daily Record, had already agreed to become the national team coach if Mexico had lost to
Costa Rica in Azteca.

Some news of the blindingly obvious: Sven-Göran Eriksson's future with the Mexican national
team is in danger if he fails to beat Costa Rica next weekend. Remember that statement of support

Compeán may follow Eriksson out the FMF's door if results don't improve.

Last night I kept thinking of the long list of reasons why we're lucky to have Frankie Hejduk, a
man in the best form of his life, still earning caps for Team USA. Then, thanks to Greg Seltzer and
Steven Goff, I remembered another reason; that he is one classy dude.
In case you haven't heard by now, Mexican assistant coach (and poor sport) Paco Ramirez slapped
Hejduk while the teams were heading into the locker room after a 2-0 US win.
