Time-Lapse Camp Nou
Egoi Suso Rius decided that capturing a match, in its entirety, at the Camp Nou would be
something special. It's been done before, but not in 110 seconds. Egoi chose to film the Barçelona
vs. Osasuna match in January and the results are fantastic. Set to musical stylings of "Sonata

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of 19-year-old attacking midfielder Joao Carlos Teixeia from
Sporting Lisbon. Teixeira will now join the likes of Raheem Sterling, Adam Morgan, Suso, David Amoo
and countless other attacking youngsters in the youth set-up, where he'll hopefully develop enough
over the next couple of years to graduate into the first team.
After waiting through half the January window with hardly even a solid link to report, Liverpool
made an exciting first move in the market today—though it's exciting far more for its future
potential and for the way in which participation in the NextGen Series is already paying off for
the club than exciting for the club's prospects in the present.

With only two matches left in NextGen Series group play, Liverpool find themselves vying for the
second qualifying spot with Molde and Wolfsburg in Group 2.
Liverpool's hopes of qualifying for the NextGen Series knockout stage have suffered a blow
following a 2-0 defeat in Wolfsburg on Wednesday night.
Two goals inside the opening 10 minutes of the second half did the damage as the Germans picked up
the victory that saw them join the Reds on four points and move into joint-second place in Group 2.

Against Sporting Lisbon it took Liverpool most of a half to find their feet, and combined with
some poor finishing it added up to a heavy loss and a disappointing start to their NextGen Series
campaign.

Liverpool kickoff the NextGen Series from Anfield at 19:00 GMT/2:00PM EST
An intriguing experiment begins tomorrow; an under-19 Champions League-style competition with
some of the best academies in Europe. And the home-and-away group stage starts out with a bang for
Liverpool, as they host what on paper looks set to be their toughest foe of that opening round when
Sporting Lisbon comes to town.
Clive Brunskill/Getty Image (Bleacher Report)After watching Liverpool's youngsters come in and
prove their quality last season, it is on the minds of many Reds supporters, just how far their
academy starlets can go.
It has been interesting to dig deeper into the academy players, and some of those that are already
starting to push their reputation in the first team.
Last season, Liverpool's u18 side was a revelation, the club's revitalised academy forcing its
way back into the limelight after a decade in the wilderness. Much of that was down to a new
generation of young stars, the likes of Suso, Raheem Sterling, Conor Coady, and Jack Robinson, all
of whom remain eligible for u18 play this season but all of whom are expected to make the leap full
time to the reserves—not to mention the NextGen Series and the occasional first team
match—along with coach Rodolfo Borrell.
Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge believes Academy star Suso will be ready to make an impact
on the first team next season.
Reds' fans have been waiting with baited breath for the Spanish teenager to make the transition
into the senior side and it would appear they may get their wish when the new campaign begins in
August.
Academy striker Adam Morgan has revealed the favourite goal of his career so far.
The England U17 star netted 21 times in all competitions for the Reds in the 2010-11 season - but
he has no doubt as to which one gave him the most satisfaction.
"It has to be Man United in the FA Youth Cup in front of the Kop," he told Liverpoolfc.
Suso's wonderful strike away at Newcastle United has been voted the reserves best goal of
2010-11.
The Spaniard's blistering drive after a terrific turn was his first goal in a red shirt and 38 per
cent of you voted it the best effort of the campaign.
Jonjo Shelvey's Anfield free-kick against Manchester United came second with 26 per cent while
Daniel Pacheco's brilliant individual effort came third with 13 per cent.
Liverpool U18s' hopes of topping FA Premier Academy League Group C suffered a blow as they went
down to a 4-0 defeat at leaders Everton on Tuesday afternoon.
Goals from Eric Dier, Hallam Hope and John Lundstram put the hosts into a commanding interval lead
before Anton Forrester sealed the points with a close range finish late on.
Liverpool must pay £6 million to land Spanish starlet Sergio Canales, according to reports in his
homeland.
The Real Madrid youngster rejected a move to Anfield in January, according to Spanish paper Sport,
but it goes on to claim that the Reds will come back with another offer in the summer.
Canales has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in European football, with a transfer battle
taking place last summer between a number of Barclays Premier League, La Liga and Serie 'A' sides
for his signature.
Liverpool Reserves came from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw in a pulsating mini derby clash
against Everton at Anfield on Thursday night.
Despite the Reds' early dominance, Adam Forshaw gave the visitors the lead when he curled a
brilliant long-range effort past Martin Hansen on 17 minutes.
From perhaps lingering too long on the past to too eagerly anticipating a likely still distant
future, and all in the course of a couple of hours. Perhaps tomorrow we'll have to focus on the now
a little bit, but in the meantime it's time to get way too excited about the possibility that
another member of Liverpool's academy might be able to make an impact with the first team in two or
three years.
Raheem Sterling scored five times as Liverpool U18s stormed into the quarter-finals of the FA Youth
Cup with a 9-0 win over Southend United at Anfield.
Three strikes in six first-half minutes put the Reds into an unassailable lead, with Sterling
bagging a brace and Conor Coady firing home from the penalty spot all before the midway point of
the opening period.
And praise the Lord, most of them are English Breaking news: this top ten was not written on public
transport. There are three self-imposed rules when creating a list of Premier League future stars:
1. Players must be under 18 years of age 2. They must be currently at a Premier League club (thus

Liverpool Reserves boss John McMahon is hoping his young side can mount a successful defence of the
Lancashire Senior Cup when they take on Manchester City tonight at Hyde United in the
quarter-final.
Confidence in the camp is high after last week's 2-1 win over Sunderland at the Academy and the
likes of Daniel Pacheco and Suso could be involved in the squad.
Daniel Pacheco scored a superb goal in front of Kenny Dalglish as Liverpool Reserves beat
Sunderland 2-1 at the Academy on Tuesday afternoon. Watch highlights now online.
Nikola Saric bagged the other goal on a day when the young Reds played some lovely football as
Dalglish, Steve Clarke and Sammy Lee watched from the sidelines.
Rodolfo Borrell's youngsters turned on the style as they reached the fifth round of the FA Youth
Cup after a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace at Anfield on Saturday.
The young Reds deservedly came back from a goal down to beat Palace after extra time.
Half-time substitute Kristjan Gauti Emilsson scored twice at the Kop end and captain Conor Coady
slotted home a late penalty.
Liverpool is reportedly eyeing a surprise swoop for Watford teenager Marvin Sordell.
According to The People, Birmingham are also monitoring the 19-year-old after his nine goals this
season helped fire the Hornets into promotion contention.
The striker is thought to have impressed watching scouts with his eye for goal and technical
ability and - despite a recent dip in form - Liverpool are reportedly monitoring his progress.
