The mighty Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of South African defender Bongani Khumalo from SuperSport United.

A pre-contract agreement means the 23-year-old will officially join Spurs when the transfer window re-opens in January 2011, subject to a work permit being approved.

According to Tottenham's official website, Tottenham have reached a pre-contract agreement with SuperSport United for defender Bogani Khumalo. Khumalo had played with Tottenham on trial in September.

Tottenham will complete the deal for Khumalo in January, subject to a work permit.
