Both of St Leo's programs got much needed victories on Tuesday and did so in style. The men (4-6-0)
beat visiting Thomas University 4-1 in front of 287 at University Field. Meanwhile, the women
(4-2-1) drilled Palm Beach Atlantic University 7-2 on the road. Neither match was a Sunshine State
Conference fixture.

The UT women (5-6-1) overcame Lynn University (6-5-0) on Sunday afternoon at Pepin Stadium in front
of about sixty spectators. The 2-1 win gave the Spartans their first Sunshine State Conference win
of the season.
The match saw the return of sophomore Kendall Bourdon to the Spartans' net.

After a scoreless first half, which saw both sides take six shots, UT (6-0-1) ramped up the
pressure on the visiting Fighting Knights (10-1-0). In the second half, the Spartans out shot Lynn
11-7, but it was the Knights who broke the scoreless tie late in the match.
Lynn's Scott Gordon scored off a free kick in the seventy-eighth minute to put the number one
ranked Knights ahead.

Near the end of the first half on Tuesday night, the St Leo men broke their 226 minute goal drought
when Leonardo Nogueira made his fifth assist of the season and Daniel Asher put the Lions up 1-0.

(3-3-1) on Saturday in front of a crowd of 451. The 2-1 result preserved an unbeaten record for the
Spartans.
Freshman Brian Fekete scored his first career goal right before halftime in the forty-third minute
to give UT a 1-0 lead going into the break.

for that title took a hit on Wednesday night in front of season high crowd of 528 at University
Field. The ninth ranked Tars of Rollins College (6-1-1) came back from being down 2-1 midway
through the second half to pull out a victory 3-2.

Flagler College (3-3-1) came into the Lions' University Field on Wednesday afternoon and stole an
early goal in the fifth minute of play and held on for a win despite being out shot by St Leo 23-6.
A crowd of 381 watched as the Lions (3-3-0) could not find the back of the net to equalize.
Flagler's Conor Killen scored off an assist by Mack Hough in what proved to be the game's only
goal.

The St Leo women (2-0-1) made a statement in their opening match of Sunshine State Conference play
on Saturday. The message was that the votes they received in the NSCAA poll last week were
deserved.
The Lions dominated the Tritons (0-3-1), by out shooting them 30-6 during the match. St Leo spread
the goalscoring around, with six different players getting on the score sheet.

third in the preseason poll, to first overall in the new poll. This was by virtue of their victory
over Florida Memorial last Thursday.
The only other Sunshine State Conference school to be ranked in the top twenty-five is Lynn
University.

University was called in the sixty-first minute due to lightning. The NCAA requires seventy minutes
be played before a match can be official, so the result will not stand. It is not clear at this
