This is likely to end up on some end of the year Best Of lists for football photos and
the like, along with someone in the Bundesliga making a nice tackle and John Terry barking orders
in the rain soaked evening.
Afghan boys play football in sunset in Mazar-i-Shraif on January 10, 2012.
After a long and illustrious career as one of America's best goalkeepers, Kasey Keller has one
more award to walk off into the sunset with.
The 41-year-old Seattle Sounder was announced as MLS Goalkeeper of the Year on Tuesday in a move
widely expected after he was named to the MLS Best XI last week.
Happy Halloween from all of us at A Football Report!
What better indication of the very last glimmer of summer departing is there than kids dressing
up as monsters ready to pillage all your sweets when sunset arrives? Nevertheless, the ambiance of
autumn is in full swing and, thankfully, the football never stops.
Absolutely lovely sunset over South Liverpool tonight
If you had asked me a little over a year ago to name the eight teams most likely to fill the top
eight places in the Premier League come May I would have said; Liverpool, Everton, Man Utd, Man
City, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea. Not in that order, obviously.
Then our manager skipped off into the sunset and the season that followed will last in the
memory for many years.

In which, with only the first few games pulled out of the hat, Napoli owner Aurelio De
Laurentiis storms out of the Serie A fixture draw all guns blazing swearing at his fellow club
presidents, claiming that the FIGC had fiddled the draw to smother Napoli, vowing to 'return to
cinema' (he made his millions in film production) and threatening to tear up his Italian
citizenship before commandeering a stranger's Vespa and pootling off into the sunset.
It was all Dynamo on a hot and humid night at Robertson Stadium and while there were plenty of
wasted chances by the men in Orange, Danny Cruz finally found the net early in the second half to
give Houston a much needed 1-0 victory.
The Dynamo broke through in the 51st minute on the counter attack.
It's a generally accepted rule that when things looks their darkest, a hero will rise. Tonight
in Washington, D.C. the Dynamo's hero rose in the 89th minute in the form of Brian Ching whose goal
help save Houston from another disappointing loss.
After Will Bruin hit the post and Danny Cruz missed a wide open net early in the second half,
the deck appeared stacked against Houston when Charlies Davies put United ahead 2-1 in the XX
minute.
In 1987, there was a cheesy teen comedy movie called "Can't Buy Me Love." For those of you
fortunate enough to not know this movie, let me explain the gist of it. A nerdy high school kid
named Ronald has some money saved up for a new telescope. At about the same time, a popular
cheerleader named Cindy finds herself in desperate need of money.
The feds have been trying to bust Barry Bonds for years. A jury wasn't having it. With Barry
Bonds facing a number of charges, the slugger was found guilty of only one charge of obstruction.
Though technically Barry Bonds faces up to ten years in prison, legal experts say it's a lock that
he'll likely get some sort of home confinement and/or probation.
Memory is a funny thing. At its best it allows us to relive fond memories of friends, events, and
times gone by as we sip our favorite adult beverages and look out at the ocean or sunset or
something similarly suitable for recalling such things. At its worst, it fools us into thinking
that things are still the way they were when an impression was formed.
It's Mungo time again... but for how much longer? When your titular hero has formed a close
personal bond with a mammoth and was last seen riding away into the sunset, it's anyone's guess.
Although it might mean that Heart of Clachmaninshire start to score some goals.

PORTLAND, Ore.— The Portland Timbers announced that the team has surpassed 11,000 season tickets
sold for its inaugural Major League Soccer season in 2011. With today's announcement, fewer than
1,000 season tickets remain as the club plans to cap season ticket sales at 12,000 for its
inaugural season.
The LA Galaxy have understandably been against David Beckham joining Spurs on loan this month.
They are ok with Beckham training with Spurs, but they want nothing to do with Beckham pulling on a
Spurs shirt, even in a behind closed doors friendly.
The Galaxy made their position crystal clear to Spurs yesterday when they refused to allow
Beckham to take part in a practice match against squad players from Queens Park Rangers.
Raul Gonzalez. He once played for Real Madrid in Spain, where the sun shines seemingly year
round. He now plays in Germany, where a 4pm sunset during the winter is fact of life. But he's not
bothered. Just read his thoughts at Dirty Tackle. Right here.

When we first speculated about Sergio Ramos' potential new love interest, many of you here (and
us included) felt the relationship was innocent until proven with pictures.
So, does a corner image on the cover of Cuore magazine make this relationship real,
now?
