We've just noticed that AC Milan's pretty dreadful new gold third kit for next season has one redeeming a feature: a charming little pocket on the right breast...
How charming! What are the players going to be keeping in there, we wonder? Philippe Mexes will obviously have an emergency hair scrunchie, Balotelli will have somewhere handy to keep his fags and Sulley Muntari will probably be wanting to keep whatever he's using to repeatedly blackmail his way into Europe's biggest clubs close to his chest.

Sunday night's encounter will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
Napoli conquered Bologna to secure second place, Fiorentina won the Tuscan Derby, Juve clinched victory in Bergamo and Udinese stunned Palermo in a 3-2 thriller in Serie A action tonight.
AC Milan beat relegated Pescara 4-0 to close in on a top-three finish and that all-important Champions League spot.

Mario Balotelli was booked during AC Milan's win against Torino at the weeked... by team-mate Sulley Muntari. The former Manchester City striker scored a late winner in the match and removed his shirt during the goal celebration. Seeing that the referee was about to dish out the inevitable yellow card to his team-mate, Muntari pinched [.

One of the most spirited and disciplined performances of the Champions League this season came Wednesday night as AC Milan downed Barcelona 2-0. The Rossoneri's performance may not have been the prettiest, yet the team buckled down on defense and performed as a unit.
Portsmouth fans scarcely needed a reminder of their fall from grace this week, what with their club hitting the headlines for charging their opponents to park the team bus. But just to really rub it in, two of their former players were on the scoresheet at AC Milan defeated Barcelona 2-0 at the San Siro [.
A shocking result tonight from the San Siro, where AC Milan beat Barcelona 2-0 to put the Champions League favorites on the verge of elimination from the competition.
This was AC Milan's first victory over Barcelona since 2004, and it was a familar playbook that sunk a poor Barcelona side.Massimiliano Allegri's side followed the blueprint developed by Chelsea and Celtic, the only sides to have beaten Barca in 25 matches in Europe, which is soaking up wave after wave of Barca attack before hitting them on the break.
There was a bit of a skirmish on the internets earlier this week regarding Sulley Muntari's shin
guards and whether or not he was wearing those given to him by Inter. Turns out they were just a
standard Nike model with some aesthetics bearing a resemblance to those of his parent club.
Yesterday, he then tried to give his shirt to a Chievo ballboy after scoring the lone goal in
Milan's win.
In which, after scoring the winner against Chievo last night, AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari
attempts to bestow one of the ballboys with a unique gift his shirt only, the wee lad in question
doesn't appear to want to trade in sweaty cast-offs.
TweetAC Milan moved back to the top of Serie A after a 1-0 win over Chievo courtesy of Sulley
Muntari's 9th minute strike. The Ghanian midfielder struck early on as his side held out for a far
from convincing win over mid-table Chievo to move up to 67 points in Serie A after 32 games [...]

Barcelona continued their pursuit for a 22nd La Liga title yesterday by thrashing Getafe 4-0 at
the Nou Camp to move within one point of leaders Real Madrid. A double from Alexis Sanchez and
goals from Messi and Rodriguez helped the Catalans to their second consecutive 4 goal win.
The win was made better by the news of defender Eric Abidal's successful liver transplant.
Though this isn't a dirty tackle and there is no physical pain involved, the emotional damage
here is just crippling.
After scoring the only goal in Milan's 1-0 win at Chievo, Sulley Muntari was likely feeling
quite good. So, to spread those good vibes a little further, he generously gave his shirt to the
smallest Chievo ball boy as he headed for the tunnel.
Had not the only goal of the game been so spectacular one, even a Milan fan, could have been
forgiven for struggling to watch the entire match between Chievo and Milan; it was that bad. There
was no fire, no flair, no enthusiasm, least not from the visitors. You would not think that they
are [...]
Exciting news out of England as the International Football Association Board (IFAB), the body
responsible for the laws of the game of soccer, announced that two goal-line technology systems
will move forward with testing. The two systems, Hawkeye (already used in tennis and cricket) and
GoalRef, will undergo further testing with the goal of introducing the technology no later than the
2014 World Cup.
Juventus left Milan with a point on Saturday, but not before a drama-filled 90 minutes that still
has fans and the media debating. From phantom goals to offside calls, punches to scuffles, the
match kept the moviola busy and threw in some decent football too. Both sides can feel rightly
aggrieved over a goal disallowed by linesman Roberto Romagnoli, but the fallout now appears to
surround.
A mildly controversial match was had between Milan and Juventus this weekend, the tussle between
Serie A's two top teams ending in a 1-1 draw.
The infamous image now peppering the internets shows Milan's perfectly legit second goal well
into the goal mouth. Unable to get revenge against the referee and lineman, Philippe Mexes (v Marco
Borriello) and Sulley Muntari (v Stephan Lichtsteiner) went about taking out their frustrations
against their zebra striped foes.
One wouldn't expect one of the games of the season to come out of the Carling Cup but that's
exactly what happened when Liverpool edged Cardiff City via penalties in a thrilling final at
Wembley.
Liverpool seemed to have dispatched the Championship side when Dirk Kuyt scored a wonderful goal
in the 108th minute but Cardiff refused to give up.
One of the biggest matches played this weekend between the two top teams. Milan is leading but
Juventus has a game in hand. Antonio Nocerino gave the Rossoneri the lead. It could have been worse
as Sulley Muntari's header clearly broke the line before Buffon gathered the ball but it was
declared offside.
It all started according to plan. Milan took the initiative from the beginning against Juventus,
dominating possession and going ahead thanks to another strike from our free scoring midfielder,
Antonio Nocerino. Ten minutes later it should have been two. But, it was not. Roberto Romagnoli,
the assistant referee, somehow failed to see how Sulley Muntari's [.
The debate that just will not disappear. We have seen many incidents that have heightened the
clamours for the introduction of goal-line technology, but on Saturday there was probably the most
high-profile instance since Frank Lampard's ghost goal in the 2010 World Cup. With AC Milan and
Juventus sat first and second in Serie A [.
Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus played out a controversial 1-1 draw at the San Siro
yesterday to maintain their respective positions in the Serie A table. The draw leaves on 51 points
one ahead of Juventus who have a game in hand.
Traditionally considered as one of the biggest matches in Italy and Europe, a Milan-Juve fixture
is never short of thrilling and entertaining football.
Talk about a dream debut worthy of a Celebratory Shoulder Jump from
Robinho! That happened to Ghanian striker Sulley Muntari when he
scored in Milan's 3-1 win over Cesena on Sunday afternoon. As the Italians sometimes say...
"Figoooo!
Lazio Lazio's transfer window saw few arrivals. Sporting director Igli Tare was able to bring in a
forward in Liverpool Montevideo's Emiliano Alfaro. The 23-year-old Uruguayan has played few games
and rarely impressed, by all accounts. (-ve) Another controversial transfer saw Antonio Candreva
arrive from Cesena (with Simone Del Nero going in the opposite direction).
Eight days ago, Inter were flying high off an extraordinary run of seven straight league wins,
including victories against city rivals Milan and fourth place Lazio. The club had a midweek
fixture in the Coppa Italia against Napoli, only to lose in controversial fashion once again to the
Partenopei.
I was surprised when i learnt that Milan had signed Ghanaian Sulley Muntari on loan from cross
town rivals Inter considering his form the past couple of seasons. Muntari who is on international
duty with Ghana in the African Cup of Nations, will be with the Rossoneri until the end of the
season when his current contract with Inter is set to expire.
The winter transfer window across Europe closed on Tuesday, and a number of teams -- not the usual
big-spenders -- that were scrambling to fill vacancies and address needs for the second half of
their respective seasons were able to add some valuable pieces to the puzzle.
Queens Park Rangers fall into that category, adding firepower in the form of former Lazio
striker Djibril Cisse and Fulham forward Bobby Zamora.

Five goalless draws and an average of just 1.4 goals per game made for Serie A's quietest round of
games yet but there were still a handful of notable performances. Entertaining ties (particularly
at the Stadio Olimpico) resulted in big wins for Lazio, Milan, Bologna and Parma, but Inter's
enduring woe is the real story of the week.
Perhaps driven mad by Milan's garish new gold kit, Sulley Muntari was sent off in just the 40th minute of their match against Roma for trying to physically restrain the referee from showing Mario Baotelli a yellow card.
As incredibly dumb as Muntari's actions were, the incident was something of a continuation of what he did last week in Milan's match against Torino.
AC Milan 2-0 Barcelona Champions League 20th February 2013
Two ex-Portsmouth stars netted the goals which produced a rather surprising result at the San Siro on Wednesday night, with Milan shooting down the mighty Barcelona.
With Mario Balotelli cup-tied, the Rossoneri started withGiampaolo Pazzini up front, supported byStephan El Shaarawy.
In January, football fans from around the world will once again witness the best nations in Africa competing for the illustrious 2013 Africa Cup of Nations trophy.
Sixteen teams from the second largest continent will participate in what could be regarded as the most underrated competition in international football.
Ghana made a jittery start to their ACN campaign overcoming a plucky Botswana through John
Mensah's 25th minute goal. The Black Stars then had to endure without Mensah who was sent off in
the 66th minute for his foul on Jerome Ramatlhakwane.
Goran Stevanovic's squad were at full strength minus Kevin Prince Boateng with World Cup
standouts Asamoah Gyan, Andrew Ayew, and Sulley Muntari present.

She's a former Miss Ghana (2004), has a uni degree in marketing, appeared in Vogue Italia and Maxim,is married to AC Milan footballer Sulley Muntari(her "baby" asshe likes to call him)and was installedas the ‘Development Queen'in her Ghanian hometown earlier this month.
In 2009, Juventus had to play a game behind closed doors after their fans racially abused Mario
Balotelli following the goal he scored against them for Inter Milan in a 1-1 draw. This wasn't the
first or last occasion that this club has had issues with racism though.
Last October they were fined €10,000 for racist chanting in another game against Inter Milan
and were dished out a repeat punishment in January this year after Colombian wing-back Pablo Armero
and Cape Verde-born Switzerland midfielder Gelson Fernandes were the victims of racist chanting
during both the first and second half in a game against Udinese.

Gabriele Marcotti has a good article on the "ghost goals" that are breathtakingly missed by the
human eye and calls for technological innovation which already exists to
put them to rest.
On Saturday, against Juve, Sulley Muntari's header saw the ball clearly cross the line about a
yard inside before Gianluigi Buffon was able to push it out.
Ivory Coast are the heavy favourites going into the African Cup of Nations in 2012 in Gabon and
Equatorial Guinea next year.
The Elephants will be able to call upon on the service of a number of high profile European players
such as the Toure brothers, Salomon Kalou, Gervinho and Didier Drogba.
