Racing Club de Avellaneda, usually called just Racing, is a professional soccer club from

Since yesterday's post dealt with a former Houston Dynamo player who was a member of the squads
that won the 2006 and 2007 MLS Cups, a video, shown below, that I came across made me decide to do
a post about another member of those Dynamo championship teams: Stuart Holden.
Holden, who grew up in Sugar Land, Texas, a suburb of Houston, joined the Dynamo in 2006 and
made his MLS debut in a 1-1 draw at New England Revolution on May 27th.
Results don't matter – well, until they do. Let me explain.
We keep hearing that results don't matter when it comes to friendlies. U.S. manager Jurgen
Klinsmann keeps saying it. He doesn't give a German lick about results, he told us again last
week.
Heck, I've written the same thing time and again.
As modern folk, we live our lives in the world of design. The clothing, the car, the furniture, the
food and the wine, the house, the suburb, the road, the mall, the way the light falls across your
face as I take your picture...I know that we can still go for a walk in the woods and shake it all
away, for a while.
Eric Giardini on Michael Bradley's southbound move
Six years later, Bradley attempts to break into Serie A, not MLS...
"It's fine."
That was my initial reaction to reading that Michael Bradley was joining Chievo Verona in Italy
in an undisclosed move that was announced today.

Depending where you live in this world, seeing a stranger wearing a jersey of a Premier League club
could be a rare treat or an almost everyday occurrence. For me, living in a suburb in South
Florida, I typically see a stranger wearing a soccer...

As you can see, I have taken the opportunity to give this paint a lick of paint ahead of
some changes that we are planning to make for the start of the new season. Hopefully everything
should work properly feel free to let me know if you come across any glaring errors! This morning,
meanwhile, we are returning to the subject of the lost football grounds of Britain, and we are
indebted to Martin Baker from Ciderspace for this article on the subject of Yeovil
Town's former home, Huish.

After three years, then, it looks as if the Leigh Genesis experiment may be coming to an end.
The club had been rebranded during the summer of 2008, but it now looks as if the club is to cease
playing after three years of chaos which followed what was supposed to be a brave new world in the
history of a club which had, through several different names, been playing since 1896.
"We continue to work on this in both D.C. and Baltimore. We're looking at several sites in D.C.
We've had several conversations with the District. There's no specific proposals being discussed at
this time, but I believe there is a general consensus in the Wilson Building [city government
headquarters] that they certainly want D.
Racing Club, also known simply as Racing, is an Argentine professional soccer club from Avellaneda,
a suburb of Gran Buenos Aires. Founded in 1903, Racing has been historically considered one of the
"big five" clubs of Argentine football. The club is currently competing in the Primera División
Argentina and finished in 6th position in th [.
The U.S. staff got its first look at the game venue, the Yongchuan Sports Centre, which seats
28,000. The playing surface looks in good shape and the organizers are hoping for anywhere from
10,000 fans for the non-China games to 20,000 for the China matches. Canada played China at this
venue in April of 2010 and there were 22,000 fans in attendance.
As you can see, it's nice the nicest day ever in the Yongchuan suburb of Chongqing, and we're not
sure if its fog or smog, but probably a combo. Needless to say, it's pretty dark and cool here on
the first full day for the U.S. team in China, but no one comes to central China in January for
vacation, the USA is here for three excellent games.
Members of the U.S. team stop for a pic during a short walk to stretch the legs after a long
flight
The U.S. team arrived in Chongqing, China on Saturday morning (China time) after traveling from
Los Angeles via Beijing and by all accounts, it was one of the smoothest trips to China the U.
