So yes, I'm a uniform nerd. I love things like this. And this. When adidas extended its MLS deal
through 2018 two years ago, I was silently doing fist pumps. Some aren't fans, but I generally dig
their designs and the iconic shoulder stripes, and the uniformity of the number and lettering
scheme is right up my alley.
2012 Geylang United HOME kit Having heard the outcry over the decision to change the traditional
green home strip to a maroon one, Geylang United decided to revert, although not entirely, the
unpopular choice of colour.
Instead, the maroon kit will become the Eagles' away jersey with a mainly white-coloured based
uniform (pictured above, depending your browser settings) be the choice of the home outfit for the
new season.
Rumour doing the rounds that this is the new Arsenal away kit for next season. Hope not. Clearly
the Nike designers have given a nod to the blackcurrent kit we wore for a season at Highbury a few
years back.
I prefer good old yellow and blue but these days kits are all about revenue and this could be
our new away top, with the stripes used for marketing purposes and to allow a shirt to double up as
a leisure top.
Barcelona's home shirt for the 2012-13 season will be blue and red, according to a leaked design
from Spanish website Sport.es.
Pictured above, the new design features a Nike shirt sponsored by Qatar Foundation. The shirt
features the gold World Cup Club badge in the center of the shirt, as well as a color scheme that
morphs from blue to red near the middle of the shirt.
Another link from a story I did for FC Dallas this week. And yes, another mock draft. Here are a
few names that I could see the red stripes selecting tomorrow with their lone pick. Let's see if I
get one of these right this year though with this news, the club could be looking at someone
else.
A photo of AC Milan's home shirt for the 2012-13 season has been leaked on the Internet.
Designed and manufactured by Adidas, the new AC Milan shirt is a retro design with the famous
black and red stripes as well as an old-fashioned collar. The collar looks closer to a old rugby
shirt than a soccer shirt, but I love it.
We had heard the rumblings that Portland was cooking up something special for their third shirt in
2012. They had knocked most everyone out with their efforts for the Green and Red shirts in 2011,
so our standards were set high.

The other night I came home in the dark and numbing cold and saw a box jammed in between my front
and screen doors.
The Montreal Impact unveiled their MLS jersey Thursday night, taking the latest step in the run up
to their expansion season.
The primary, blue kit comes with matching blue shorts and is a pretty typical MLS shirt --
sponsor across the front, team crest by the heart, three stripes down either sleeve and MLS and
country flag patches on the sleeves as well.
At last! What every Red Bulls fan has been waiting for, and just in time for the Holidays! Yep, the
new home kit is out and it's pretty nice, if I do say so myself. It almost replicates the design of
last year's stunning away kit, except the 2012 home version has a v-neck and also sports a subtle
pinstripe stitch.
You would think, with the economy sucking as much as it does, that more people, even those who
previously retired, might don stripes and referee. High School soccer pays pretty decent (I'd get
$40-$45 a center for high-school ages at the club level - high schools pay close to $70), but I've
been getting emails, and now texts, from assignors desperate for officials - and just not getting
them.
One of the Spanish cities we hope to visit soon is Bilbao, for their fantastic
architecture, sights and obviously, the Semana Grande (which happens every August and is
one big fieeeesta!) The Athletic Bilbao team unveiled their "official
suits" in a ceremony at the city's famous Guggenheim museum yesterday, which is an outfit
consisting of a charcoal-gray suit spun delicately from Merino wool, a white poplin cotton shirt,
silk tie with black stripes in red and grey, a pearl belt and shoes with rubber soles made of black
leather.
The bright blue leaked kit is in fact the official third kit for the Seattle Sounders. Today the
team announced that the "super cyan" and "electricity yellow" kit will be the primary kit used in
CONCACAF Champions League, US Open Cup and Friendlies. It will be worn in a cyan-cyan-cyan system
from top to bottom.

Czech porn star Klarisa Leone (star of 'Don't Tell My Wife I'm Banging My Secretary', 'MILF
Masturbation Nation 11′ and 'Joachim's Czech F**k Fest', along with several other titles not
suitable for mention pre-watershed) has announced that she is to set up and run her own football
club after falling in love with Inter Milan as the photos above duly attest to.

What do you make of those Bobby Dazzlers then?
Hello there.
A very quick Saturday round-up for you.
And there you go. Thanks for stopping by.
It is a bit like that, really. Very little in the way of Arsenal news. Last night the teams too
terrible qualify for Euro 2012 had at it and it worked out pretty well for Ireland, by all
accounts.
Scottish Football Association have unveiled the brand Scotland 2011/13 home kit. According to the
SFA website: The traditional dark indigo colour with hallmark adidas white three stripes has been
proudly retained, but the shirt features an array of design innovations. The Badge The new kit
crest pays homage to the round badge used on the [.
1. Manchester City away Very nice, Citeh. A successful return to the reliable red-and-black stripes
after a two-season break. And very classy it it too. 2. Liverpool third Narrowly beats the
Liverpool away kit, which despite being rather nice and arguably the first football kit that could
be successfully teamed up with a bowler hat, [.
While this video may be a little over the top, I have to give it to Montreal for putting
together a pretty classy looking crest for their MLS team that joins next year.
One thing I really appreciate about this logo is that everything has a meaning and a reason
behind it. Its not just some cheap photoshop logo that we've seen in the past.
It's kind of interesting how standards change because of needs. I've mentioned a few times on here
before, that I had a conversation with an assessor who said her first decision is who needs a real
referee crew, and who can get by with just a "body" to fulfill USSF requirements. On the other
hand, now that I'm involved in roller derby, it's very very common to see significant others
wearing stripes (or non-skating official jerseys) in matches.
Sky Italia has nailed the preseason advertising market with some holy commercials designed to
highlight the miracle that is calcio. Or miracle that it, despite the constant shitstorm, still
stands as a structure.
Ambrosini, Mauri, Eto'o and a Totti statue in one, while Andrea Pirlo dons stripes (or trades a
red for a white) for the first time in the other.
A day late, but never yadayada...Let's begin this time with a wave goodbye to a wonderful Women's

Lithuania, wearing red and black stripes, in the Europa League, against a Dutch side.
LEAKED: Chelsea 2011/12 third shirt is a disappointment - originally posted on
Soccerlens.com
adidas has never been shy of giving Chelsea the worst change shirts in recent years.
Usually the clubs are given away shirts from the adidas template but this one is definitely
different.
Quite simply, this leaked shirt seems like a photo of a retro shirt from the 60′s.
Lionel Messi has been very criticised for his role in Argentina's debacle at the Copa América, so
I thought I would give Mr. Messi some help in providing some excuses for the performance:5) "I get
confused when not playing in blue-red stripes"4) "mumble, mumble, mumble"3) "What do you expect? I
am a dwarf!
AMSTERDAM - There's something that's been eating at Djurgårdens IF defender Gale Agbossoumonde,
and it's not about a fight for playing time or his up-in-the-air club status. It's about that one
damned night in Guatemala.
Sure, the 19-year-old is trying to regain his Blue Stripes place before the end of the month,
when he finds out whether the 11-time Swedish champs will take up the purchase option on his
expiring six-month loan.
Liverpool and Adidas have officially unveiled Liverpool's third shirt for the 2011-12 Premier
League season. Pictured above, Liverpool's third jersey is white with black and cyan blue trim. The
sleeves of the shirt feature the iconic three stripes...

In the afterglow of the recent disaster in Tampa, the MLS sort of took a weird backseat to the US's
struggles against Panama this weekend. There were fans of all stripes tuned in to the 2-1 defeat on
Saturday night, some even eschewing their club allegiances in the process to watch. So we had a
dulled weekend of sorts in terms of the full sensory experience.
Adidas have launched the New Real Madrid Home Shirt for next season 2011/12.
And for the very first time Gold will feature on the Club's jersey, which include
the Adidas logo and the three stripes, which will represent the many successes the club have had in
their history.
The kits are out and let me say it straight out, I love them. I love everything about Real Madrid,
most of the time. Ok, some times not always. The new kits look good. I kind of like the change from
black strips on white shirt to golden stripes on white shirt. Though it will [...]
Just like last season, FC Dallas has embarked on an extended unbeaten run to shoot up the league
standings.
The defending Western Conference champions haven't lost in nine games and find themselves second
in both the Supporters' Shield standings and SBI MLS Power Rankings after another clean sheet
victory and a sweet goal from Marvin Chavez.
Here is the purported new Real Madrid away strip by Adidas:
2.5/5 Stars
It's slightly different than what we had previously reported, and I think it's a definite
improvement. Still, there's not much going on with this shirt. The black complements the white home
strips nicely, and is pretty standard by Real Madrid away kit standards.

When reigning MLS MVP David Ferreira went down with a broken ankle, 2010 Western Conference
champion FC Dallas figured to struggle while finding a way to replace the catalyst for the team's
attack.
Instead, the Red Stripes found their groove.
FC Dallas went 4-0-3 in the month of May to easily capture SBI's Team of the Month honors.
The Houston Dynamo planted its flag in Dallas a couple of weeks ago with the above billboard to
build the hype for this weekend's match against Texas rival FC Dallas.
The Red Stripes started their response by flying a "Dallas Til I Die" banner over Houston's
Robertson Stadium, and now and their fans have gotten into the act.
The New Barcelona Home Jersey for the 2011/12 season is now available to buy at
WorldSoccerShop as of today. The jersey has a new sponsor Qatar Foundation, which
takes over from the famous UNICEF logo which has featured on the Catalan giants previous jersey.
Their famous red and blue stripes have also been styliosed and show a little thinner than the old
jersey but nonetheless this hasn't taken away from the uniqueness which goes with a Barcelona
jersey.
The Los Angeles Galaxy may have had the biggest blowout of the week, and Chivas USA had the most
surprising win of the week, but no team can top FC Dallas this week after the Red Stripes posted a
pair of shutout victories to climb the Western Conference standings.
Led by the attacking forays of Fabian Castillo, the stout defending of George John, and the
stellar goalkeeping of Kevin Hartman, FC Dallas beat both Toronto FC and the Philadelphia Union to
improve to 5-3-2 on the season.
FC BARCELONA presented to media their "new look" uniform for next season 2011-2012. The highlight
is the increase in the number of stripes, the new sponsor & that the away uniform will be black FC
Barcelona Captain Puyol with new uniform 2011-2012 season Amazes me how the issue of a uniform
change can generate so much news & how the fans (naturally) take it on so seriously.
After the week that saw plenty of draws, week nine brought in a little more bite. With three
games on Wednesday and a full slate over the weekend, a few teams saw the chance to move around a
good bit in the rankings.
The top clubs are still the same but it looks as though FC Dallas is try to break into the top
four.
Smiling through the pain? Mark van Bommel, Clarence Seedorf and Luca Antonini model the new AC
Milan home strip. Image via soccereviews.com
The Serie A champions launched their new home kit last week, and being the self-appointed
connoisseurs of all this fash and footie on the web, we would be derelict in our duty if we were to
neglect to make some sort of comment.
Newcastle United unveil the new 2011/2012 home kit. Kevin Nolan is modelling the new home kit for
the 2011/2012 season and personally I think it lacks a touch in the stripes department, although in
the grand scheme of things I guess it's not too important compared to what actually happens on the
pitch.
Just back from the live online conference so this will be in point form, the host of presenters
included Adriano Galliani and AC Milan player/models Luca Antonini, Mark Van Bommel and AC Milan's
glorious elder statesman Clarence Seedof Changes to the AC Milan kit 3 white across shoulders
signifying the traditional adidas logo stripes multiple thinner vertical black striping across the
front.
