Phil Jones was subbed off after 20 minutes in Manchester United's 2-1 victory over Arsenal,
needing a stretcher to take him off the field. Reports from the touchline suggested he had just
twisted his ankle but the following day there were claims he had ligament damage.
However, Mike Phelan has given us hope that Jones could be available for our FA Cup clash at
Anfield.

First things first: Sincere apologies for that god-awful pun. I tried to rise above it, and
failed. Miserably.
Anyway, Newcastle inflicted defeat upon Mark Hughes in his first game in charge of QPR, with a
neat solo effort from Demba Ba's deputy Leon Best proving to be the difference between the two
sides at the Sports Direct 80% Off Insane Spring Sale Arena.
Ah weel fro ze gloves in your general deerecshon OTP isn't quite sure if this response was prompted
by the Shaun Derry foul that forced Yohan Cabaye off the pitch during Newcastle's match against
QPR, or by the fact that neither the ref, his team-mates, his manager or the physio appeared to

Kenny Dalglish enjoyed his second win at Stamford Bridge in just 10 days as Liverpool ran out
comfortable 2-0 victors in the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup on Tuesday night.
Both Chelsea and Liverpool put out fairly strong sides, with Bertrand, Romeu, McEachran and
Lukaku the youngsters given starting berths by Andre Villas-Boas, while Sebastian Coates, Martin
Kelly and Jay Spearing got the nod for the Reds.
Liverpool sensationally beat Chelsea at Stamford for the second time in 9 days.
They may thank Craig Bellamy for his role in setting up the two goals for Maxi and Martin Kelly in
the 2nd-half.
The result stretches Liverpool's unbeaten run to 11 in all competitions and we kept another clean
sheet.

CARSON, Calif.--D.C. United received a very encouraging sign from striker Charlie Davies that he
was ready to take on a bigger role as the club hits the playoff stretch drive, but also faced the
devastating news that they lost one of their best performers of the 2011 season.
I mean, come on, it's a valid explanation. Did he?
Apologies for the lateness of this post. I have a tight schedule on weekdays, so writing and
posting stuff is harder for me now. We'll get back to regular programming this weekend for the
Swansea game.
Injuries, well.... injuries SUCK.
