It's a common sight everywhere in Brazil to see the fun-loving natives get together spontaneously
for a game of kick-about on any space they can find.
Be it that it could be an obscure back alley of any street, the famed Copacabana beaches or on
those lush manicured pitches dotted around this football crazy nation, so long inches of space are
made available you bound to see the Brazilians coming together to enjoy a game of street soccer.
A wonderful day to remember and thank everyone that cares about you, makes you better, helps you
out.
A happy Thanksgiving to you. A few motion pics here that just seemed appropriate for the day and
sentiment.

Below is a list of just some great groups that many others are already thankful
for.
Bouncing Back, a story of resilience from XTG Media on Vimeo.
Two days now until the Scottish Football Blog Blogathon.
Why am I doing it?
To try and help, even in a small way, great organisations like the Homeless World Cup. My own
little contribution to beating homelessness through football.
Freddy Field in Texas: Built on a labor of love & life celebration and with dollars earned
exclusively through donation..
TSG gets a lot of impassioned pleas to help out through publicity or promotion for one cause or
another.
They all resonate (The Freddy Fund, Little Feet, Soccer Without Borders, Street Soccer USA,
all.
Is there any sadder image in sport than the face of an older striker after scoring a goal? After
scoring, young men sprint to the corner flag, their eyes ablaze, their mouths agape, and feverish
plans to dance & shout & cry race through their minds. By contrast, an aging striker will pump his
fist at a teammate or may wave to the crowd.
I think we can all agree football is broken. Whilst millions of pounds are being spent on
players like Jordan Henderson and Andy Carroll, famous clubs like Wrexham are struggling to
survive. My ten point plan will not save football in its entirety, but it will help make it a darn
sight more enjoyable.

Far too often we take things for granted. This might sound trite and at times can come across as
somewhat hypocritical depending on who is saying it, for it is usually referenced as part of a
guilt-inducing prose by one who is afforded similar luxuries in life to those to whom they are
admonishing.
The Beautiful Game series explores how soccer makes a difference around the
globe.
Been a very emotional week here at TSG and we are tardy in following up on our The Beautiful
Game series.
Good news this month....the super touching Freddy Fund is about to break ground on their field
that story.
Starting this Sunday, in Paris, in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, sixty-four countries are
gathering for World Cup soccer action. But don't expect to see the likes of Lionel Messi or the
studs in Cristiano Ronaldo's ear. Booting up in the colors of the nations will be athletes from the
margins of society, as far away as possible from the Porsches and the bling welcome to the Homeless
World Cup.
While the FIFA franchise has reached an amazing amount of success in the past few years, the FIFA
Street videogame series has slowly faded away. After FIFA Street 3, it didn't seem like EA was
interested in developing the fourth instalment of the series. Yet now, an awesome Youtube trailer
has been put out by the EA Sports France channel, showing off what could be the best FIFA Street
game yet:
EA is obviously taking this seriously, and they're ditching the cartoony style which they used for
FIFA Street 3.
Peteca, Tlatchi, Cuju, Shrovetide, the human history is filled with games that involve a chasing a
ball. Whether at one point we all started off kicking it or throwing it, or if it was oval shaped
or round, it seems to be unknown to history. Or perhaps instead of branching off from one main
descendant, the game spontaneously evolved at multiple points in the world.
PUMA joins the ranks of the Nike5 series and Calle Rilo in the up and coming street soccer market
with the launch of its Urban Cat Cetto street soccer shoes. Designed for soccer and casual use, the
Cetto feature a rubberised toe reinforcement and studded rubber outsole to give top level
performance and durability.
