European transfer deadline day has proved to be fruitful for one American abroad.
Mikkel Diskerud has been loaned from Stabaek in his native Norway to Belgian top flight club KAA
Gent, the club announced on Tuesday. The loan comes with an option to buy at the end of the season
and gives Diskerud a chance to prove his worth for a different club for the first time in his brief
career.
Joseph Bendik and Sogndal ended their season on a high note with a win over Molde while Mikkel
Diskerud and Stabaek were unable to break their long winless streak at Valerenga.
The Norwegian Tippeligaen season comes to a close on Sunday, with Mikkel Diskerud and Stabaek
heading to the capital to take on Valerenga and Molde heading to Joseph Bendik and Sogndal.

Mix Diskerud may not have been called into the U.S. men's national team for its upcoming
friendly against Mexico, but he's making quite the case for himself to get the call in
September.
Diskerud continued his strong season with Stabaek IF on Friday, hitting the equalizing goal in
the club's 2-1 victory over Fredrikstad.
Josh Gatt provided the heroics in Molde's victory, and Mikkel Diskerud and Stabaek rolled past IK
Start in this weekend's Tippenligaen action.
Mikkel Diskerud and Stabaek returned to winning ways with an impressive victory over reigning
champions Rosenborg, while Jonathan Borrajo and Ham-Kam extended their unbeaten streak in
disappointing fashion.
A pair of goals by Mikkel Diskerud weren't enough to guarantee the three points for Stabaek,

Kenneth di Vita Jensen and Steve Clark helped Honefoss to a huge upset over Mikkel Diskerud and
Stabaek, while Josh Gatt netted twice for Molde in their blowout win in the third round of the
Norwegian Cup.
U.S. Under-20 winger Josh Gatt scored his first two professional goals with top-flight Norwegian
club Molde FK and had a hand in setting up a third in a 7-1 victory over third-tier Tiller in a
domestic cup match on Wednesday.
Gatt and American U-20 left back Sean Cunningham each started and went the distance for Molde,
which advanced to the Round of 16 in the tournament.
Steve Clark will have the chance to test his wits against fellow American Mikkel Diskerud when
Honefoss host Stabaek as the third round of the Norwegian Cup takes place on Wednesday evening.

Gale Agbossoumonde may not be an automatic starter for Djurgardens IF, but he continued to
cement his place in the team on Wednesday.
In Djurgardens' third round Svenska Cupen match against IFK Lulea, Agbossoumonde started and
played 90 minutes as his club won, 2-1.
Mikkel Diskerud and Stabaek shot up into the upper reaches of the Tippeligaen standings with a
dramatic win over Haugesund while Steve Clark and Honefoss hung on for a draw at Ranheim.
All Americans reached the next round of the Norwegian Cup, with Sean Cunningham finally making his
debut for Molde, and Mikkel Diskerud and Stabaek overcoming a tough showing by their minnow
opponents.

Gale Agbossoumonde did something this weekend that he had not done since playing for Miami FC
about a year and a half ago: he started a match at the club level.
Agbossoumonde earned his first start for Djurgardens IF, and he went the distance in a 1-0
defeat to Malmo FF on Friday.
It will be a battle of yanks in the Eliteserien when Josh Gatt's Molde welcomes in Mikkel
Diskerud's Stabaek while dynamic American duo of Steve Clark and Kenneth Di Vita Jensen will be
seeking their first 1. Division win of 2011 at Randaberg.
Mikkel Diskerud and Stabaek took down heavy hitters Valrenga in the Eliteserien while the
always-feisty Steve Clark and Honefoss played to a draw with upstarts Hodd in the 1. Division.
Mikkel Diskerud keyed a big win for Stabaek over Rosenborg in the Eliteserien while Steve Clark
earned Man of the Match honors for Honefoss who fought to a scoreless draw with Sandefjord in the
1. Division.
The Eliteserien resumes play this weekend with Mikkel Diskerud and Stabaek looking to get back on
track at two-time defending champions Rosenborg while the 1. Division campaign opens up for all the
yanks in Norway.
It was a nightmare start in the Norwegian Eliteserien for Mikkel Diskerud's Stabaek who were
humiliated at home by Lillestrom while Josh Gatt impressed in his debut despite Molde falling to
Sarpsborg.
