Think they want Marta? Both players Athletica traded, Kia McNeill and Angie Kerr, played
significant minutes for the team last year, so this deal has some risk to it. However, they already
picked up Lindsay Tarpley, and plugged some holes (in theory) with their draft pics.
Pending the dispersal picks, Althletica have the potential to be really fricking good this year.

days, hours, and minutes before opening day. We're something like three months away, with a bit of
March Madness in between, but with the days getting longer, you can definitely feel the soccer in

Aluko is currently working as a paralegal at the law firm of SC Andrew in London. Her
work there will conclude in February when she returns to St. Louis to begin Athletica's pre-season

I ask that question as a prelude to sharing Andy Wilkinson's weekend with you from last week. As
you can see in the photos, he covered a lot of bases. He started his road trip with a drive from
Joplin up to Kansas City to enjoy the KC Wizards game against the LA Galaxy on Saturday. From there
he headed to St Louis where he participated in the St Louis Athletica game against the FC Gold
Pride.

Lindsay Tarpley scored a second-half goal as the Chicago Red Stars won their Women's Professional
Soccer opener over St. Louis Athletica, 1-0, on Saturday at Ralph Korte Stadium in Edwardsville,
Ill.
A shade over 5,000 people attended the match, and from the sound of it through several Web posts, a
nice chunk of Red Stars supporters were on hand.
