Arsenal does not really do transitional seasons, or does it? Somehow, through the magic of Wenger, we have been able to rebuild squads and first teams without losing sight of silverware and European football in every single season the Frenchman has been at the helm.

Witch hunts, apathy, delusion and greed, all pathetically wrapped up in an unshakable belief in a divine right to win. Recognise it? Of course you do. Unfortunately it describes many so-called Arsenal supporters, who today stand supreme amongst football folk in their ability irrespective of the injury situation and short of any real knowledge of the internal politics or financial situation facing the club, to defame our great clubs name just by confessing their poisonous support.

When I look at the league table I get a shudder down my spine.
Of course S*urs sitting higher than us in the league table contributes to that shudder massively, but what really causes that horrible feeling is that we sit outside the Champions League places.
Now don't get me wrong, the thought of that lot finishing above us is indeed truly horrific.

So we lost two valuable home-points today against lowly placed Wolves, and now we are all feeling down?

Man City drew against West Brom and Liverpool could not kill off Blackburn yesterday, and neither could Chelsea see-off Fulham. I am as disappointed as anybody for dropping two points against Wolves at home.

The messages I have received about Jack Wilshere tweeting stuff on S*urs has gone off the richter scale.
Sure, from their point of view, at times, it probably may seem a little annoying.
However, surely they can see it is only a bit of banter?
If one of the S*urs players was tweeting about Arsenal I would have banter back and tweet a reply.

That little table on the right shows we are still one point behind last seasons cumulative total, one problem with that table (other than the lack of progression in 2010/11 from game 27 onwards) is that it does not take into account the opponents played. On Saturday we made a big step forward, like for like games compared to last season we are now 3 points up.

No, I haven't been taking the Kool-Aid.

If you look at the fixture list between now and the New Year (well, January 2nd to be precise) you can see that we have every reason to be optimistic.

We have 11 games between now and then, taking us conveniently to the half way stage of our campaign.

Before calling Arsene Wenger 'Two-Bob' perhaps Clive Allen should take a long good look in the mirror.
Mind you, I don't think there is a mirror out there powerful enough to withhold his ugly mug for longer than a second.
If Clive Allen was dignified in victory then maybe Wenger would have shook his hand in the aftermath of our defeat against the Spuds.

Another Monday morning and off to work for many faced with the negative banter that an Arsenal defeat brings. But worse, not just any defeat the Spuds have turned us over, years of disingenuous crowing at our North London neighbours is coming home to roost today. All that "I can't wait to get to work" of previous years, doesn't work so well today does it?

Now that the horror end to the season is behind us I thought it worthwhile to look back at the predictions I'd made before the start of the season and after the summer transfer window had closed.

In this article, written before the season started, I'd mentioned United as the title favourites.

Arsenal certainly don't make it easy to write about them on a blog every day. All I ask of you in my hour of need, after the unexpected defeat at the hands of Bolton, as I sit here distraught and frustrated, even angry at the events of this season, I ask that you address the faithful the hordes of fans that support and follow this club of ours as soon as is practical.

After all the pain we have experienced with our goalkeeping options in the last few years, hands up if you thought we had finally solved them with the emergence of Wojciech Szczesny?

Our 21-year-old stopper certainly has many of the attributes essential for a top class ‘keeper.

His stature, attitude and authority in the box all augur well for the future.

What a cracker! Probably was the most open and entertaining game I have seen in the Premiership this season. Begrudgingly, I have to say congratulations to the Tiny Totts for putting up a performance like that. Ok, Ok, let's get it out the way first: I know we let a two goal lead slip for the umpteenth time and I know we ended up drawing our fifth league game in six. And I am well aware that we continue to be deficient in the match-winning department. As for the t-word well it stands for third, doesn't it?

Try as I might, I cannot recall another weekend which sucked that much. In a season that promised so much, with a handful of games left to play, we are all but assured of another trophy less season. Compounding my misery was the fact that I lost a good friend who was also a faithful fellow gooner.

It's a glorious, bright spring morning in London: perfect for a trip to the Grove. It makes sense to me that if the man in the street gets an uplift from the joys of a beautiful spring day, then the man on the pitch must do too.

I still believe as I don't believe Manure are a team that are infallible.
